Like JAFF? Here's More!

Do you like Jane Austen Fan Fiction?

Last year, my first JAFF title, Longbourn Revisited was published, and became an Amazon Kindle Best Seller in the Short Story category.

Thus began a series featuring the well-loved characters of Pride and Prejudice, as well as a handsome newcomer.

The fourth title has just been released. And From Longbourn, A Wedding Comes, in which Mary Bennet finally walks down the aisle.

I'm currently working on the next instalment, and expect it to be published in July.

These are all free to read on Kindle Unlimited.

A Five Star review from Readers' Favorite for 'Of Love and Secrets'

Quite recently I found an email from Readers' Favorite, relaying the news that my YA romance, 'Of Love and Secrets', had been awarded a five star review, and was eligible for their seal of approval.

So now, Of Love and Secrets joins Whatever It Takes in boasting a Readers' Favorite 5 star seal on its cover.

Will any of my others be chosen, too?

5 Star Review from 'Readers Favorite'!

Yesterday turned out to be a true red-letter day! Not only was it the wedding anniversary of my (now deceased) parents, it also became the day when one of my books was recognised with a 5 star review on the highly respected site, 'Readers Favorite'.

Now, the cover of Whatever It Takes features a 5 star seal of their approval.

Another cause for celebration... :)

'It is a Truth Universally Acknowledged'

'It is a truth universally acknowledged,…' must surely rank as one of the best-known openings of any work of English literature. I scarcely need to add that it comes from that iconic story by the great Jane Austen, 'Pride and Prejudice'.
It goes without saying, that any attempt to emulate this work, even in a miniature form, is an exercise in discipline, especially given the massive changes that our language has undergone in the couple of centuries since this title was written. It isn't easy.
In attempting such a task, I drew upon decades of experience of reading this book. By its very nature, 'Pride and Prejudice' is a masterpiece that invites re-reading. I first became acquainted with it when I was in my teens, and loved it then, as I love it, now. The dynamics between the characters bring the story to life. The language evokes an era so unlike our present day.
I hope that readers will look kindly upon my efforts. Longbourn RevisitedWho can do justice to the genius of this most revered woman writer?
