Win a letter from one of my characters (and signed books)!

I had the idea for this contest a little while ago, but just decided to do it today. If you win, you get to pick a character of mine to write a special letter, just for you. You'll also receive two signed books of your choice (mine, again, obviously). Pretty freaking cool, huh? All you have to do is comment on this post with which character you'd want a letter from. Bonus entries if you share this post, or write a review for any of my books. When you comment, POST the places you shared, or left a review (This means an actual, clickable LINK). The extra entries won't count unless I can verify them. Contest is international and will end on March 17 at 9 pm (EST).

THIS IS THE MOST EXCITING THING I HAVE EVER POSTED.
The title of this post is a lie. But you clicked on it, didn't you? SO I WIN. This is one of those random posts about a bunch of things.
I've got a few contests going on. Go to my Facebook page for a chance to win a copy of My Favorite Mistake, my Instagram for a chance to win a Deeper We Fall audiobook and… uh… that's it for right now. But I'm going to do another one on this blog very soon. Maybe next weekish.
Winners for the Deeper We Fall Giveaway: Ashley Close, Ann Marie Mahoney, Brianne Ross, Kerri McLaughlin, Jenn Marr, Nicole Vulturi, Margaret Hughes, Paula Marie, Maria Paz Belmar and Alza Barraquiel Arilas! If you could all email me: contests.chelseamcameron@gmail.com with your shipping address and the title of the book in the subject line, I'll try and get those out to you very soon!
Did you know I have a book coming out this month? The first episode of Deep Surrendering, the spinoff novella series, will be released on March 20! I hope you're all going to take a chance on it because it's only going to be 99 cents!
There will also be paperbacks available! I'm getting them formatted as I write this and those will be available when the ebook comes out.
What I'm working on: I'm deep in writing Slowly We Trust (Fall and Rise, Book Three), which is Will and Audrey's story. It's VERY intense and VERY sexy and FULL of Harry Potter and Star Wars references. #nerdlove I'm also writing the second episode of Deep Surrendering as well as working on a secret project that I had the idea for last week. It's contemporary and I'm ABSOLUTELY in love with it.
And here is a gif of a cat with a watermelon.

Details on my next release!
I'm in the midst of a Facebook party hootenanny announcement shindig, but I figured I should post here. What's happening? I'M WRITING A SERIAL! What is that, you ask? It's a set of short novels (called novellas) that tell a continuing story. Basically, it's a novel broken up into separate volumes, but each has their own story arc.
DEEP SURRENDERING, EPISODE ONE is coming on March 20! It's a story featuring Fin and Marisol, who are introduced in Sweet Surrendering and Surrendering to Us. It will tell their story from the sexy, steamy beginning. Get ready, everyone, this is going to be a WILD ride :)
How is this going to work? A volume (approx. 20,000 words each, or 1/6 of a novel) will come out on the third Thursday of each month, starting on March 20. How many volumes will there be? RIGHT NOW, I've planned to give them two books worth, which would be about 10-12 volumes. Each volume will be priced at 99 cents, and I will make the first one free when the third volume is released in May. So, the price for 6 of them will almost equal the price of a novel. Also keep in mind that each one has to be formatted separately, whereas a novel can be done once. There will also be fun extra content in the back of each novella. I want you to feel like you're getting your money's worth.
Does that answer your questions? I hope it does. And I'm REALLY excited about this project. Fin is different than any guy I've ever written. He confuses the hell out of me, and I can't quite figure him out. And he's got secrets. LOTS of them.
Here's the synopsis of the first Episode:She's all about rules. He lives by none but his own. When these two meet, the results could be disastrous.
When Marisol Everly’s friend Rory sets her up with Fin Herald, Marisol doesn't expect that it will amount to anything, .but that was before she saw Fin's searing blue eyes and mischievous smile. Not to mention, he seems absolutely fascinated by her mundane life. He's everything that a girl could want, but there's something else that ripples under the surface of his flirty behavior. Something darker. Something that fascinates Marisol, but scares her at the same time. Is she willing to risk falling into an abyss she might not get out of?
The cover reveal is tomorrow, hosted by InkSlinger PR. I'll be posting about it like crazy :) You can also add Deep Surrendering, Episode One to your Goodreads shelf.
Have any other questions? Post them in the comments and I'll do my best to answer!

This post has no title...
This post is going to be a mishmash of… stuff.Firstly, I'm working on a secret project that is either going to make you very happy, or make you want to punch me in the face, or hurt me in some way. I'm really hoping it's the first thing, but we'll see. I'm going to do something fun to release my news. Probably on Facebook. It'll be a huge event/chat and I'll have teasers and a cover and a synopsis and there will be prizes and unicorns and frolicking and general merriment. DON'T YOU LIKE MERRIMENT? I KNOW YOU DO. I'm working on the details of this now, so stay tuned for a definite announcement.Secondly, My Sweetest Escape is now out in the world! It's so weird, because I wrote the book last May/June, so I've been holding onto this story for a LONG time. I hope everyone likes it. You don't have to love it (I would love if you loved it), but I just hope it makes you laugh and smile and that you come away feeling like I've taken you on a lovely ride. InkSlinger PR has organized a blog tour, so hopefully I'll be posting about that. There will be character interviews, extra content and FUN. And giveaways :)Thirdly… I've watched too much Project Runway in the past few days, and you know what I noticed? Other than the fact that Tim Gunn is like the Albus Dumbledore of fashion? That there are lessons learned on the show that can be applied to writing. Or any creative endeavor, actually. "Make it work!"Fouthly, I just hired my mom to be my assistant. She'll now be taking care of mailing and shipping all my giveaway prizes, which means two things. One, that things will go out in a more timely manner and two, the post office will actually be able to read the addresses. We've both very exited about this.Fifthly, I'm going to be in Daytona Beach, Florida next week for Coastal Magic Con!!!!!! I will be bringing books and swag and myself (duh), so if you can, you should DEFINITELY come. I'm also doing several panels and a Meet and Greet. If you want signed books, you might want to purchase them ahead of time. I'm not bringing as many books with me this time, just because it's a pain to have to deal with the leftovers.Sixthly, I've been doing a lot of giveaways for paperbacks on my Facebook page. I've gotten really good responses so far, so I think I'm going to do a giveaway per week. Usually it's 10 paperbacks per week, sometimes a set of two in a series. I have a LOT of books in my house. They're taking up half my bedroom (which isn't that big, but still).Seventhly, I think I'm going to make a Facebook group/Street Team. I'm getting a logo made right now, and I've got a name, so stay tuned for announcements about that. Members will get special offers and exclusive content and will automatically gain five awesome points ;)

Serially… I need your opinions...
Serial novels. I've been seeing a lot of debate and talk about them lately. For those that don't know, a serial is a story told in short volumes. Examples include H. M. Ward's Arrangement series and Magan Vernon's Forever Wild series. There are advantages to writing a serial. They're shorter than novels so easier to produce. It's also a less of a risk for the reader. Buy a snippet and see if you want to continue it. You don't have the commitment of an entire book. There are downsides. Many readers feel like authors are trying to "make a lot of money" by charging more for short works than they would for a full novel. And sometimes they get fatigued when the stories go on too long. They can be too short as well. Just when you're getting into the story, it's over.I've just been thinking about this a lot, and I wanted to know what YOUR opinions are. So what do you think? Yay or nay on serial novels? What do you think is the right price? What would you pay?
