June Author Spotlight Series: Samantha Hale

Growing up in a small town in Southern Ontario, Samantha Hale was an avid reader who fell in love with the written word in all its forms. She was fascinated with the way a book could take her away to another world and began writing, finding that she loved creating her own worlds just as much as she loved reading about the ones in her favorite novels.

K.R. Morrison has lived in the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years.  She moved there from   At her first sight of Oregon, she never looked back.

June Author Spotlight Series: Sherri Hayes

Sherri spent most of her childhood detesting English class. It was one of her least favorite subjects because she never seemed to fit into the standard mold. She wasn't good at spelling, or following grammar rules, and outlines made her head spin. For that reason, Sherri never imagined becoming an author.


At the age of thirty, all of that changed. After getting frustrated with the direction a television show was taking two of its characters, Sherri decided to try her hand at writing an alternate ending, and give the characters their happily ever after. By the time the story finished, it was one of the top ten read stories on the site, and her readers were encouraging her to write more.


Eight years later, Sherri is the author of nine full-length novels, and two short stories. Writing has become a creative outlet that allows her to explore a wide range of emotions, while having fun taking her characters through all the twists and turns she can create. This series focuses on one wolf pack, made up entirely of gay wolves.  Originally five men, each book tells the story of one couple, with a few long term story lines that affect the whole pack.  I make a point of not including cliff hangers in my books, just teasers from one book to the next, but each book can be read as standalone.  In the Cloverleah Pack series you will find a lot of Alpha wolves, the most gorgeously sweet little Omega, a spot of magic and a lethal looking cat shifter.  The Bound and Bonded series currently has four books in it and they are based on another gay only pack of wolf shifters living in Washington.  The club is run from a BDSM club and while some of the books have BDSM elements in them, they are not hardcore.  Again each book focuses on one specific couple and so far the pack has expanded to include a cat shifting assassin (book 3) and a vampire (book 4). Each book can be read as standalone.The Stockton Wolves came from an idea for a short story I did for the Goodreads MMRomance event last year.  The characters just wouldn’t let me go and so after the event had finished I added 40,000 words to the book and a pack was born.  Originally the story of straight man Dimitri, and his mate, out and proud Shane, thanks to some wiggling in the story line the pack now includes two more wolves, a pretty little cat shifter and a human Dom.  Book 2 in the series, Copping a Lot of Sin, will be out in June and will include a bear shifter. The Alpha and Omega series just has the one book in it so far – The Biker’s Omega.  The plan for these books is to again focus on just one couple, but in most cases the wolves will be lone wolves, rather than in a pack situation.  This is the series where I explore the concept of opposites attract so book one includes a very Alpha biker and a gorgeous feisty twink called Marly. When they meet all sorts of problems occur – not least the Alpha’s association with his MC gang. All of my books are standalone and all have an HEA. They are all based on the idea that will being a true mate might mean insta-lust, it does not guarantee love, and that is the ultimate goal for all of my couples.

June Author Spotlight Series:Kelly Blanchard

Kelly Blanchard writes medieval fantasy, science fiction, and has published historical fiction under the name Serafia Cross. In addition to this, she maintains a blog which covers numerous topics of writing, and she mentors fellow writers in the craft of writing. 

        Book Summaries:
Under the name Serafia Cross, Kelly wrote the life story of King Baldwin IV of Jerusalem during the 12th Century who came to the throne at age 13 after his father abruptly died, but he was a leper and now king of a kingdom at constant war. Knowing his life would be short and full of horrible afflictions, Baldwin set out to reign wise and well to the best of his abilities, but history saw it fit to almost erase him altogether. The series of 'The Last King of Legends' is a move to bring him back onto the pages of history and remind people even in their own afflictions, they can do what is right.
Book 1: The Kingmakers -- Baldwin is nine when his leprosy is discovered, but his father orders all to keep it a secret from the High Court. However, when his father dies suddenly on a hunting trip, Baldwin finds himself King of Jerusalem. A regent rules until he is of age, but during this time Baldwin undertakes intense training for his role as king and struggles to come to terms with his disease. Finally, when he is of age, he reveals to the High Court his true condition, knowing they may cast him out altogether.
Book 2: In the Face of Trials -- Baldwin is sixteen and finds the kingdom stripped down to a skeleton defense when a visiting count from France took the rest of his army north to try and reclaim old territory without Baldwin's approval. However, Saladin, in the south, sees this as the perfect opportunity to attack, so he makes his move. Knowing it is hopeless to attempt to meet Saladin on the battlefield with only 375 knights when Saladin has over 30,000 men, Baldwin still makes the decision to go, and they meet on the hills of Montgisard.

Book 3: The Sovereign Gambit -- Two years have passed since the Battle of Montgisard, and Baldwin has heard nothing from Saladin. His men grow anxious expecting an attack. Finally, Baldwin decides to make a gambit in order to force Saladin's hand, but it unleashes a torrent of events he could have never foreseen. Throughout all this, his leprosy is still devouring his body, and by this time he has lost his face to the disease, and he continues to lose even more, but still he presses on.
There is a fourth book of the series which will wrap up the life of King Baldwin IV, but it is unreleased yet.
