Getting ready for Explorer

For a while now, Ive been working on this novella, a Genesis companion novella to be exact, where we revisit Aurora, the planet where most of the Exodus Trilogy is set. I had to rewrite it several times because I just couldt get it to work. Some of the issues I struggled with had to do with major traits of certain characters that just didnt fit with the Trilogy, others were questions of how much to reveal in a novella, since I plan to return to Aurora for another novel next year.

So it was a...

Ebooks – Why I held off for so long, and why I love them so much today

Another post clipped from the old blog today. This one was my first post on the old blog, posted in december 2011, and it is funny to see how much has changed. Back when I first published this, I had just discovered ebooks, and Amazon ahas pretty much the only game in town. For most who read my books this is really old news, but since ebooks are still in the very early days in large parts of the world, including my own country, Norway, maybe someone can find something new here.

So here is “Eb...

A few good reads

I’d like to tell you a little about some the books I’m reading at the moment. Just because there are some good books out there you may or may not have heard of. Also, if you like my books, you may like some of the books I read as well. Makes sense, doesnt it?

Before we begin, let me just be clear that the links I use in this post are affiliate links. If you click them I get a small (read: tiny) commission from Amazon. This is something I plan on putting on my books pages as well. I dont make...

Reviews, and the art of not caring (too much)

Today it’s time for another post from the old blog that I decided to keep, mainly because I think it’s evergreen. This one is from 2013, and the examples are a bit dated, but I figured you’ll understand so I haven’t changed anything.

Just a quick note before we begin: Genesis should be available from most retailers within just a few days, and the Exodus Trilogy Omnibus Edition is just around the corner. Explorer, the Genesis companion novella is currently with my beta readers, and I expect t...

short post

Okay, short post today. Explorer, the Genesis companion novella went out today to my beta readers. Hopefully it should be out in the not too distant future.

And I’m looking forward to seeing Genesis, the third and final book in the Exodus Trilogy, on most eBook retailers by the end of this week.

One thing I’ve been thinking about is whether I’ve under communicated the link between the Exodus Trilogy and the RIFT Saga. The two are thightly connected, which readers will find when they read the...

Why Indie?

WHY INDIE?

On July 10, 2014, I posted this on my old blog, and this is one of the posts that I think still has some value, in that it explains a bit of who I am, and why I have chosen to self-publish instead of going the more traditional route for authors. So if you didn’t read this a year ago, here’s your chance!

Indies are changing the face of publishing! (and music, and movies)

Some updates

Okay, so I said I’d have something new out when I next posted something. I don’t, but I do have a few updates, so here we go…

First, so far Exodus, Aurora, Rift, and The Tunnel & The Tribe is out on B&N Nook, Apple iBooks, Kobo and a few other retailers (all previously Amazon exclusive in e-book format), and on the 25th Genesis will follow. The Exodus Trilogy Omnibus Edition should follow soon after.

That concludes my experimentation with exclusivity, and though it was very helpful at an earl...

Welcome to the new site!

Welcome to the new site! I’ve already mentioned this to my email subscribers, but I’ve been working on building a new website and setting up a new email system for a while now, since I wasn’t too happy with the old one. I struggled with transferring all the old content until I realized I really didn’t have to. Half of my old blog posts were from my blogging a book experiment, and the contents of those posts have been taken down since. Besides, it would have taken me just as much time (maybe...

RIFT - Scene 47 and 48

So this is it then. The final two scenes from RIFT. I guess that means this is the last time I say the following: This is first draft material, and if you are put off by typos, bad punctuation, clunky sentences and so on, read no further (go here instead: http://www.amazon.com/RIFT-Rift-Saga-Book-1-ebook/dp/B00RM5HDYC/). This is only for those of you who enjoy following the process from first draft to finished product.

And please be advised, I will soon begin taking down the posts from this s...
