Excerpt from Covenant

Sorry about not posting anything last week. I am 100% focused on writing at the moment, since Covenant, the second book in the Rift Saga is only a couple of days away from being sent off to my editor.

I have an excerpt for your guys, and today we meet Sue and Dave, who are on the run with a price on their heads, after uncovering several of the dirty secrets of the Moon people.

And if you want to be the first to know when Covenant is out, make sure you are subscribed to my email newsletter!

Ok...

Upcoming titles and covers revealed

Today Ill share a few nuggets of what is to come in the next few months, and it is an exciting schedule!

First of all, the titles for the next two books in the Rift Saga are ready, as are the covers! In a couple of weeks I expect to be ready to send the manuscript for Covenant, book 2 of the Rift Saga, to my editor. And as you can see, the cover looks amazing!

Next up will be Impact, which is the story of those left behind after the starship Exodus left Earth in the first book of the Exodus T...

Training my Dragon

Ive been trying to increase my writing speed, and less than two weeks ago I bought a software called Dragon dictate, that is supposed to be the best dictation/ voice recognition software there is. Im gradually training it, by reading short snippets of text out loud, and letting it analyze my writing by uploading documents. A week ago, it was ridiculous (all traces have been deleted, never to be seen again), but its getting better. From what Ive heard, I need to be patient (yeah, thats easy!),...

Evan Hordvik

I thought Id share a small snipped from Rift II (working title) with you guys today. Its unedited, but I hope you will find some nuggets there, something to whet the appetite. Also, I have just installed Dragon, to try voice dictation. I have only tried it for a few minutes, and it would be unfair to make any sort of judgement at this time. Ill see if I can train it, which most users say is necessary. More on that later.

For now, heres a small piece of a larger conversation between Evan Hordv...

Writing like it´s Monday

Before I say anything else, let me just say thank you for all the love and support Ive received since my last blog post, where I told you about my decision to go full time with my writing. Its been amazing! I knew I had many awesome supporters, but the response has actually been quite overwhelming.

Okay then, moving on to todays topic, or rather, what should have been this Mondays topic. Ill be the first to admit, sticking to a regular blog schedule can be tricky sometimes. Especially when yo...

Going full time

I’ve got some pretty big news today.
At least for me its big.
Incidentally though, if you like my writing it might be for you as well.

I’m going full time.

Yes, that’s right, I’ve decided to quit the day job, with its steady pay and benefits, in order to make a living off of my writing.

Some may say Im taking a huge risk here, but then again, what would ever have been accomplished without taking risks? It is not as if Im jumping blindly, and I might have taken this chance before had it not be...

Quick Monday post

A quick post, with a few glimpses of whats going on.

First of all, I hope you all had a great weekend! :-)

Im busy writing RIFT II. Still keeping the working title for now, but Ill release the official title soon, along with the cover if it can be arranged with the cover artist. Maybe a couple of excerpts. I believe RIFT II will be an eye-opener in a way, because it will give you a general idea of whats to come, not just in the next book, but in several books to come. “Nuff” said…

Back to normal

Ive been an on-and-off writer this summer, with vacation time at home with the family, two weeks in Greece, my own 40th birthday (Yes I do think its worth celebrating! No crisis here! Yet!). Except for finally finishing up Explorer, the Genesis companion novella, writing has suffered from me spending time on almost everything except.. You guessed it: Writing.

So, just to give you guys an update, its back to normal for me again. That means Im back to actual writing, Ill try to stick to my once...

Explorer is out!

Explorer, a Genesis companion novella, is now available on most e-book retailers, and you can find the links here. Note that I dont have the Barnes & Noble link yet, but I will update the book page as soon as it is ready.

Okay, first of all, sorry about the infrequent posting on the blog this summer. It will likely continue for a couple more weeks, because of summer, vacations and family time, but then I will begin posting regularly every week, as planned.

Ive had a bunch of people helping me...
