Why I suck at blogging
So here’s my problem with blogging:
Sometimes, you just don’t have anything to say. Or maybe you even havemore important things to do…
That’s why I find keeping a regular blogging schedule really difficult. I mean, I could give you some updates, since theres always some new development, big or small.
Such as this:
– The audiobook edition of the Complete Exodus Trilogy is nowout on Amazon, iTunes and Audible. – Paperback editions of both the Complete Exodus Trilogy and Covenant is now availabl...

Exodus Trilogy audio edition
This is my first post here this year, and if were not connected on social media or via email, Ill start by saying: Happy New Year!
Okay, so today I have a pretty cool announcement. The Complete Exodus Trilogy audiobook is now available for pre-order, and the official launch date is February 2.
This is my first audiobook, and I think Podium Publishing and the narrator, Jeffrey Kafer have done an amazing job turning the three books into a great listening experience. And in fact, listening to th...

The Future and Santa Robots
I had a wonderful discussion with my six year old son today, about the future, and about thinking and speculating about the future. It’s interesting how a six year old thinks about these things, and how much though he has given it. And how his perspective made me think about my writing.
He said that when you say something about the future, you lie. Because it is not something you know to be true. Then he elaborated: If someone tells you there are real Santa robots, that’s a lie. But in the fu...

Impact update
Okay, so I’m having to delay Impact for a few weeks. It’s all written, but the manuscript needs more work than expected before it’s ready to send off to my editor. I’ve discussed this with her, and we’ve agreed that it’s better to suffer a slight delay now, rather than having to work on a manuscript that’s strictly speaking not ready.
Having said that, I do expect to have it out by the end of January, although I should know better than to make any promises. But with all the plans I’m working...

Now, this is a real map
As we speak, Im in the final days of writing Impact, so Ill make this a very short post. (and yes, I did miss the first deadline from my editor, so Im gunning hard for the next!)
A couple of weeks ago, I posted this little sketch, a map of the Covenant. The same week I hired an artist,Maria Gandolfo, of Renflowergrapx, who created a proper map for me.
Alright, thats it for now. And if you havent got Covenant, Book 2 of the Rift Saga, its live on every major ebook retailer. You can find most l...

Map of the Covenant
When going through edits on Covenant, my editor had a few questions on locations, figuring out where the characters were and so on, and while a lot of that should always be clarified in the text itself, I found it really helpful to draw a simple map. And thinking about it, Ive always liked having maps to refer to when reading something in an unfamiliar world. In fantasy maps are almost mandatory, but science fiction isnt that different, in that the world is often not easily recognizable.
So I...

Quick Mid-November Post
When confronted with events like the horrible terrorist attacks in Paris this weekend, it makes you think about what the most important things in life are: Family and community, security for yourself and your loved ones, freedom to do and say whatever you feel like, without fear of violent repercussions.
In this perspective, an author coming out with a new book is a small thing. But for the readers waiting, I will nevertheless provide a quick update. Covenant is now finished, edited, and only...

My personal NaNoWriMo
November just arrived, and I thought I’d share my big plan for the month with you.
First though, I am happy to tell you that Covenant has already gone through the first round of edits, and should be out by the end of the month (no promises- it’s not ready till it’s ready).
Ive been following the blog of Dean Wesley Smith since 2011, and lately Ive really taken the time to read up on his ideas and advice when it comes to developing as a writer to become more prolific. Now this is a guy whos wr...
