Preorder Legacy now

I hope summer is as good to you as it is to me! At the moment Im enjoying some time off with my family, and besides a few hours here and there Im having a break from writing. Although my fingers itch to get back to the keyboard every now and then, I know taking a break is a good thing, which will make my writing so much better, once I get back on the horse.Besides, Im doing a lot of thinking, and though its too early to tell you everything, I can say that Im mixing up my schedule a bit to...

First excerpt from Legacy

It is Summer, and Im currently spending my days with my family. Great fun, and to me this will always be the most important things in life. But it does mean most of my writing has been put on hold for a few weeks. I still have some work left before Legacy, the third and final installment of the Rift Saga, is ready. I expect to have a manuscript ready for editing by the end of Summer. From there things usually flows pretty quickly, so expect the book to be out by the end of August or early Sep...

Ebook prices

Today I learned that one of my favorite authors is coming out with a new title in a couple of weeks. This is the second book in a series Ive wanted to read for a while, so I figured Id go ahead and grab the first one and perhaps preorder the second. I was looking forward to this, since its been a while since I last read anything by this author.

Ive should have expected what was to come. This is a traditionally published author, and ever since the big publishers got their way with Amazon a cou...

Ask Me Anything

I get a lot of questions, about everything from writing and publishing to why I have a cat… Some of these (even the cat question) may be of interest to more than one person, so instead of answering all of these individually, I figure it is time for a fresh approach.

So, a few days ago I invited people on Facebook and Twitter to ask their questions. I got a few and Ill try to answer most of them here. Please let me know if this kind of thing is something you enjoy – I might do another.

Here we...

Aurora universe reading order

A lot of people have asked me about when to read Impact, which was recently launched. I would say thatyou can read all my books in what Id like to call the Aurora universe in the order they were published. Or you could read the Exodus Trilogy in order and the Rift Saga in order, and then go on to read the books that arent main installments of these series, but rather part of the universe Ive set up (Alive, Explorer, Impact).

But for those of you who prefer to read them in the order they are m...

Excerpt from Impact

Today I thought Id give you all a scene from my upcoming book, Impact. This scene takes place in Columbus, Ohio, where Robert Marsden, an FBI agent who appeared as a minor character in Exodus, is packing up the minivan to take his family out of the city. The idea is that if Devastator, the object that is bound to impact with Earth in a couple of weeks, leaves anyone alive theyll stand a better chance away from the crowded city.

Impact is on preorder sale, and if you get it now you can have it...
