Remember Doing The Impossible
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to Hotel Du Vin, Cannizarro House last week. It was such a wonderful night and so lovely to see everyone dressed up and looking so glamorous, although at one point I wasn't sure I was going to get you out of the bar!
It was my first time speaking like that and as it got closer my aims for the evening became just not letting my shaking knees make me fall over! I was sure everyone was going to disappear to the bar at the break but you stayed!!
The whole evening was really special for me, but what I particularly loved was talking to people about their dreams, their escapes, their heart's desires and I can definitely see us doing some of them next year!! (Oh, it's just going to get more exciting!)
One of the exercises we did on the night was just to talk to someone else about one of your dream escapes, and I hope it made people feel those dreams were more possible than they had seemed before.
Coming up to Christmas I often feel like I am attempting the impossible trying to get so many things done (don't even talk to me about my tax return - I've run away from that to do important Christmas party business - priorities!!) It was even worse in the summer before I left for Mexico!
But somehow we get there and Christmas or the holiday comes and the little things that weren't perfect aren't really that important, or they make for a good story. Remember last year? It all worked out, right?
So when things seem impossible or our dreams seem out of reach remember not just Christmas but all the times in your life when you have achieved what at first felt impossible. (Samba, right?). Take a breath, remember how awesome you are and believe that you can do it.
Oh and if you came along on the night don't worry I haven't forgotten your free gift Guide to Free and Low Cost Massages - it should either be in your inbox already or will be on its way to you as a CD shortly!
Christmas Party - Vestry Hall - 8th December 2015
This year���s Christmas party will be a little bit different - I loved the new format of having the session from 6-8:15pm with a mix of songs and games, so we���ll keep that, but we���ll also start a little bit later as some people have asked for a chance to see all the ZumbaWear I have, so I���m going to do a Christmas Bazaar (or Bizarre... as you should see some of the stuff!)
Don't forget to bring cash as unfortunately I am still waiting for my credit card machine to be activated, sorry.
This year I���m also going to have a prize for the best outfit or costume as I love how you strut your stuff!
As usual Santa may drop by with a very small Christmas gift for you.
The ticket price will be ��7 for everyone - prebooked or on the night! (You will be able to prebook your next January class those of you who are ���grandfathered��� in at the old low price for prebooking classes.)

Remember Doing The Impossible
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to Hotel Du Vin, Cannizarro House last week. It was such a wonderful night and so lovely to see everyone dressed up and looking so glamorous, although at one point I wasn't sure I was going to get you out of the bar!
It was my first time speaking like that and as it got closer my aims for the evening became just not letting my shaking knees make me fall over! I was sure everyone was going to disappear to the bar at the break but you stayed!!
The whole evening was really special for me, but what I particularly loved was talking to people about their dreams, their escapes, their heart's desires and I can definitely see us doing some of them next year!! (Oh, it's just going to get more exciting!)

Party Time
Even if I���m not feeling great or am worried about my steps, as soon as I put on my big ���Z��� shirt I start to feel better, more able, ready to stand at the front of the class and teach.
So I���m really looking forward to next week when I���ll be dressing up in something sparkly to welcome you all to my five year anniversary event. All but one pair of the trousers I ordered last week have already flown out and a lot of you have ordered them in different sizes (get back to me quickly if you want to get in on my next order which will probably be next Thursday - depending on how exhausted I am after Wednesday night!) and I may order a selection of other goodies especially for the Bizarre!

Pearl Escapes New Year Spa Break and Spiritual Detox
So I had my much needed two days in Thermae Bath Spa this weekend, which was lovely, but oh so noisy (the treatments were heavenly!) but I did come away with a new found respect for just how great value my four day spa break for New Year is.
Although I thought my Bath weekend was great value, it was around ��300 just for two 2 hour sessions in the spa, two treatments (one which was 50 minutes and the other 30 minutes) and one night bed and breakfast in a lovely (albeit very noisy) B&B.
The Pearl Escapes New Year Spa Break includes 3! nights B&B with a lavish breakfast buffet and dishes cooked to order, so you can either start your healthy eating for New Year with fresh fruit, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs (yes, they���re deemed healthy again!) or go end of year crazy with the bacon.
Speaking of food you also enjoy 2! excellent dinners (the restaurant here was a big factor for me in choosing this hotel and spa), three courses on the first night and, on New Year���s Eve a spectacular feast including canapes and champagne at midnight (oh yes, I had to add champagne to the first night dinner as it���s my official book launch). This means that you can relax and not worry about finding places to eat for your whole stay - although lunches each day and dinner on your last night are not included as between the sumptuous breakfasts and dinners I thought you might prefer to order light bites in the bar or restaurant the rest of the time!
You also get use of the pool, hydrotherapy pool (one of the best in England and, I���m sorry, far, far superior to Thermae Bath Spa and most spa���s hot tubs), loungers, sauna and steam room from check-in to check-out and from 6am to 9/10pm each day, up to 45!!! hours of spa relaxation at your disposal compared to the maximum of 4 I had at Thermae Bath Spa. (It���s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!)
You also get to choose a 50 minute treatment from the spa���s 5 page treatment menu (I recommend the Lava Shell Massage - one of my top ever treatments and available in too few spas in England! It also has the benefit of being a wonderful holiday type massage with hot oils and will transport you to the beach of your choice - oh my! I cannot wait!)
The spa also has incredible gardens which have been lovingly restored and which I plan to make the most of for our sessions. (There are also much longer walks across the fields, this is one fantastically located spa, so don���t forget your wellies - although if you do, take deep breath... they will actually lend you wellies here!)
And, finally, although in fact, I should have mentioned this first, you will have sessions with me every day to work on whatever you need. The whole idea of this break is to make the most of New Year... not to drink the most champagne or eat the most duck pate, or even spend the most time in the pool, but to use your break, your relaxation time to let go of anything you want to leave behind in 2015 and focus on creating a positive vision of your future in 2016 and open the door to living your heart���s desire.
And a goodie bag.
And an Aqua Zumba class.

Well my thank you had to come first this week because I was really overwhelmed and moved by all the lovely birthday wishes, cards and presents and flowers - it means so much to me. Thank you so so much!

Pearl Escapes Five Year Anniversary Invitation - ���This Is For You���
Thank you so much for your fantastic response to this invitation - I have 50 spaces in total for the event and already have 22 people confirmed!
A few people have asked if I will do an event like this again in the future, so I just wanted to explain... I am training as a speaker because, as much as I have been sharing through my website, books and classes, I feel that I have much more to offer. I had been looking for something very special to do for my five year anniversary so when it was suggested to me to do an event like this I knew it was the right thing (and I also knew I wanted it to be at Cannizaro House, so when I called them I knew it was the right place and right time!) I absolutely do want to do more events like this, as well as speak for groups and bigger events with other people, but... after I get the training wheels off they probably won���t be free events!
When I first started teaching Zumba I BEGGED groups to let me come out and give them free demos (then again with Zumba Gold and ESPECIALLY Zumba Gold chair!) but only when I was getting into my groove!

Okay, any comments that this is what I looked like on Monday when I was unwell will not be appreciated!
Pearl Escapes Five Year Anniversary Invitation - ���This Is For You���
I wanted to do something very special to celebrate five years!!!! of everything.
I never lasted very long in any other job, although I���ve worked in film making and presentations in the financial world my longest stint in any one company was three years.
Many fitness professionals say that the time you spend teaching any fitness program is like dog years because they are so changeable, so if you look at it like that I���ve been a Zumba Instructor for 35 years!!
Anyway, enough about me, this night is all about you - ���This Is For You��� is all about inspiring you to find and DO your perfect escape, whatever your ability, experience, schedule or budget. I���ll also be giving you ideas and tips on how to do so much for so little, including finding extremely low cost and even free massage.

Pearl Escapes New Year Spa Break and Spiritual Detox
If you haven���t made your New Year plans (or have made them and are not looking forward to them!) take a look at my New Year Spa Break and Spiritual Detox and see if it might be just what you need for this time of year.
As soon as we get into January (and often earlier with magazine release dates) we are bombarded with information on diets, detox and health (and holidays!)
This break is not about denying yourself or restricting your diet, it���s about taking some time out to acknowledge issues from the past that you might want to let go of, or embrace in the New Year. It���s about thinking about ourselves as mind, body and spirit and treating ourselves well, with relaxation, massage, healthy eating (and a little bit of naughty eating and fizz too, if you like) and making conscious and very personal choices about what you want in 2016.
If you find yourself every January vowing to change something in your life, or hiding under the covers on December 31st when the bells sound, think about trying something different this year - focusing on yourself and your life and then just easily letting go of anything that no longer serves you.

Pearl Escapes New Year Spa Break and Spiritual Detox
If you haven���t made your New Year plans (or have made them and are not looking forward to them!) take a look at my New Year Spa Break and Spiritual Detox and see if it might be just what you need for this time of year.
As soon as we get into January (and often earlier with magazine release dates) we are bombarded with information on diets, detox and health (and holidays!)
This break is not about denying yourself or restricting your diet, it���s about taking some time out to acknowledge issues from the past that you might want to let go of, or embrace in the New Year. It���s about thinking about ourselves as mind, body and spirit and treating ourselves well, with relaxation, massage, healthy eating (and a little bit of naughty eating and fizz too, if you like) and making conscious and very personal choices about what you want in 2016.
If you find yourself every January vowing to change something in your life, or hiding under the covers on December 31st when the bells sound, think about trying something different this year - focusing on yourself and your life and then just easily letting go of anything that no longer serves you.
This break includes three nights accommodation and excellent breakfasts, two fantastic dinners with champagne and fizz, a one hour massage, use of the hydrotherapy playground from check-in until 3pm on day of check-out (and it���s open from 6am until 9/10pm), live entertainment on New Year���s Eve, signed copies of my new Pearl Escapes guidebooks on Spa Breaks and Spa Treatments for 2016, plus more in your own personal goodie bag, and most importantly contemplation and activity sessions with me which will help you let go of the past and embrace the future... and a New Year���s Eve Aqua Zumba class!

Pearl Escapes Five Year Anniversary Invitation - ������This Is For You���
You are cordially invited to a very special night to celebrate five years of escaping, my five year Zumba-versary* and to thank you so much for being a part of it all
On Wednesday 25th November 2015
You are invited to "This Is For You" - where I'll be talking about how you can find your perfect escape, no matter what your ability, your schedule, your experience or your budget.
I'll be sharing tips on how to get low cost and even free massage and answering your questions about escaping, from five star hotels to cheese making courses - whatever it is that makes you feel alive!��
At the newly refurbished Hotel du Vin, formerly Cannizaro House, Wimbledon Village
6-7pm Welcome and mingling
7-9pm "This Is For You"�� (don't be late - we start at 7pm!)
Bar open until 11pm (private terrace until 9pm so do come early to make the most of it - there will be a half-time break)
Dress code: Cocktail attire (no sweat pants or Zumba trainers for a change!)
This is an entirely free event. Although you will have to pay for your own
cocktails, (they're worth it), I will provide the private terrace to enjoy them on! (Pray for a mild night!)
Space is strictly limited so please RSVP as soon as you can and please let me know if your plans change so I can invite anyone on the wait list.
