Chrysalis Chronicles Participates in BookExpo America's Official Show Daily

Edwin Wolfes Chrysalis Chronicles young adult fantasy series debut novel, The Eyes of the Desert Sand will be advertised in BookExpo America (BEA), the leading North American publishing event, Official Show Daily in June. 

"The is an opportunity for us to maximize our exposure by advertising in the 2012 BookExpo America Official Show Daily produced by Publishers Weekly," said Lori Moeszinger, publisher, AHPG/FHPG. 

Wolfe and his publisher will be in Manhattan attending this event.

BEA is the annual premier event for the North American Publishing Industry. It is organized by Reed Exhibitions. Show sponsors include: ABA (American Booksellers Association), AAP (Association of American Publishers, and AAR (Association of Author Representatives). Co-located events include: IDPF Digital Book Conference, BlogWorld & New Media Expo NY, Book Bloggers Convention, and Publishers Launch Conference.

Big Wow! ComicFest Wrap Up...

Edwin Wolfe and his publisher, Lori Moeszinger, attended Saturday's event. 

"We were overwhelmed by the seemingly endless talent comprising the event," said Lori. "Moreover, we were able to make contact with several artists, comic book publishers, and merchandising vendors; everythng we set out to do happened."

"I was really surprisingly excited about what I saw at the festival," Wolfe added. "So much so, I have asked my publisher to try to get us into the July 2012 San Diego ComicCon conference, which is already sold out."

The original "Artist Friendly" show, Big Wow! ComicFest, California's Best two Day Comic, Art & Pop Culture Event was held May 19th and 20th at the San Jose McEnergy Convention Center. Over 70 vendors from all of ther U.S. attended. Panels, fun, and an amazing art auction were this year's features. Other attendees included over 100 comic creators, guests and small presses. Free door prizes, industry give-a-ways, and Hollywood's costumed characters were all part of the festivities.

We will be using Pinterest, turning content into info graphics, promote user-generated content to build traffic, beyound pictures to video pinning, link Pinterest to our blog, and implement strategies for book promotion with Pinterest.

Chrysalis CLUB update . . .

We're delighted to announce that we will be making a change to our JOIN NOW Chrysalis Club website link to include mailing address information. 

Up until now, it has been difficult getting out the Chrysalis CLUB members circle packages out to new members. As you know membership is completely free and so is the personalized members circle plastic gold card that is part of the members circle packages. 

When we first launched the Chrysalis CLUB we wanted to be less intrusive and not immediately ask for mailing address information. Instead, we wanted our members to log into the ChrysalsCLUB Members site and enter their information there. However, many members have not taken this secondary step so member circle packages are building up with no place to go. 

If you are currently a member and have forgotten your ChrysalisCLUB Members login or password information, you can always send an email to  WordlyPagemore@ChrysalisChronicles.com.

Wordly is eagerly looking to get you your members circle packages to you and off his desk, if you are one of the members that have not yet sent in your mailing address. 

A brief update . . . May Promotions

We've been busy...

Working with Independent Book Publishers Association, we are participating in three direct mail programs that are all going out this month to our target audiences, children and young adults:

1.  Books for Review - This four-color catalog will be sent to newspaper, magazine and media book reviewers. The piece featurs a front cover picture of our book, along with selling and ordering information.

2.  Bookstore - This four-color catalog is mailed to approximately 3,500 book sellers across the U.S.

3.  Target Marketing Mailing - presents our title to genre specific booksellers, librarians and media reviewers through targeted catalog mailings.

4.  Earlier this month our title, Chrysalis Chronicles - The Eyes of the Desert Sand by Edwin Wolfe was exhibited at the Connecticut Library Association Regional trade show. CLA trade show wrap up press release will be posted to our website soon, along with a lead follow-up post card mailing.

Still to come this month:

5. Wolfe and his publisher will be attending the Big Wow! Comic Fest in San Jose, California this upcoming weekend May 19-20, 2012.

6. Author Book Tour - we will be in Chicago 5/24-5/29, and then Orlando 5/29-6/4, and wrapping up in New York 6/4-6/11.
