We're Back... Update on Behind the Scenes
After our launch of Edwin Wolfe's Chrysalis Chronicles series, debut novel, The Eyes of the Desert Sand, we listened to your reviews and comments. Thereafter, Wolfe teamed up with an editor Scholastic's had referred us to. Since then, Wolfe has been busy re-writing book one of the series. He assures us, the soul of the story has not changed, but the delivery has dramatically changed. The re-release is currently planned for this year's upcoming holiday season.

A brief update . . .
As you may or may not know, we have been taking a few weeks off from blogging. We will resume our normal blogging activities September 20th. To set your expectations in the future, we will be taking such time off each August/September.
We have also hired a wonderful freelance editor, a recommendation from one of Publishers Row's own, no less. However, for now each has asked to remain anonymous, and we will of course oblige.
Chrysalis Chronicles - The Eyes of the Desert Sand is going through several rounds of content editing. Thereafter, it will be further vetted by a proofreader, who was also recommended to us by the same folks.
Chrysalis Chronicles - The Eyes of the Desert Sand will be revised and released in eBook format for the upcoming 2012 holiday season.
Edwin Wolfe is, too, deep in the middle of writing book two of the Chrysalis Chronicles series. Soon, we will share the title with the world. Book two is on schedule to be released January/February 2013. And this time, we are excited to announce, it will also be edited by the same folks who are editing book one before being released.

Characters - Irvin McGillicutty
“Gruggins McGhee is a goon faced flobbyknocker and his father wears leprechaun slippers!” a goofy cackling voice cried out as the door burst open.
“Irvin – do not antagonize Gruggins!” Daavic scolded.
“So this is what humans look like – much uglier in person,” Irvin added, ignoring Daavic’s order.
“Irvin! They are not stupid – they can hear and understand you!”
“Duh – if you say so,” he continued. “Well if you’re not stupid, then I guess I’ll introduce myself. Irvin McGillicutty at your service, here to see your every need, answer to your every whim, and wait on you silly little creatures hand and foot, as my master has ordered.”

Irvin also first appears to Ethan and Haley in the Front Room at The Residence. He is a mimic, a member of the shape-shifter family. But unlike other shape-shifters – a mimic can only morph for a short time. He enjoys talking gibberish and loves to irritate Gruggins.
Irvin’s role at The Residence could be summed up as the butler and chef. He has mad cooking the skills. “The great chef Irvin needs no assistance,” Irvin boasted as Ethan looked on. “I have flavors and spices that would even make Emeril Lagasse jealous – BAM!” he joked.
