Chrysalis Chronicles - The Eyes of the Desert Sand Trivia Q&A - Chapter 26

In the Beginning:

Q: Was there more than one reason the Creators put a lock on the door to the portal?

A: Yes.

Q: What was the second reason?

A: It prevented the Grimleavers from entering the human world.

Q: How did the lock on the portals prevent the Grimleavers from entering the human world?

A: A unique mechanism was used; it scanned the Earth searching for a special marker the Creators had added to the Earth’s atmosphere – it attaches itself to all un-Earthly creatures without them knowing. Although Grimleavers could enter the human world in small numbers, only for a short time before it would find and expel them.

Q: Why did the mechanism not work on the Caretakers entering the human world?

A: The mechanism could make the distinction between good and evil.

Q: What happened if the offending Grimleavers entered the human world after being previously expelled?

A: The Grimleavers would spontaneously combust.

Q: How did Jordanna know to trust Damien?

A: When Damien repeated the words, ‘by the heart of Wormfreid’.

Q: Where did the saying come from?

A: Jordanna use to read the tales of Wormfreid to Damien when he was little. One night they made a pact, they decided to make up a secret phrase; something he could say openly and nobody else would ever know its true meaning.  It was his favorite phrase from the book she read to him every night

Q: What two side effects are caused by the Heldrick Von Grim puzzle box?

A: (1) Haley lost all memory of Danielle and gained a new identity that she identifies with more strongly. (2) Haley is now human.

Q: How does Ethan get back to the boardwalk when he leaves The Residence?

A: One of the negative doors in The Hall of Doorways, negative third door on the right.

Q: Who pushed Haley down the rabbit hole?

A: Ethan.

Q: How is Haley wearing her infinity ring again, if Victor took it from her?

A: She used her copycat to copy it when Jordanna shielded her from Victor upon his arrival. Victor took her copycat.

Q: What was the painting of that Dorkin introduces during the last scene of the book?

A: The book cover.

Q: What were the names of the five poems in the book?

A: The Eyes of the Desert Sand, Cruel Intentions, Creepy Crawlers, The Plight of the Vamprils, and The Odyssey Begins
