"I really, really enjoyed the Chrysalis Chronicles - The Eyes of the Desert Sand Book 1 by Edwin Wolfe. I seriously couldn't put it down. The whole surrounding is described really well. It was really easy to imagine being right there with Ethan, Haley, Jordanna, Gruggins, and the rest of the characters. I am certainly excited for the next book. I would recommend this to anyone! --Jenny Franklin, Goodreads

Wolfe Unannounced Surprises Spokane Washington Bookstores and Libraries

Edwin Wolfe and his publisher, Lori Moeszinger, make an unannounced visit to several bookstores and libraries in Spokane, Washington. Staying in downtown Spokane at the Davenport Hotel and Tower, we caught up with Ms. Moeszinger and asked about the mysterious visit.

"Getting ready for our eight-week book tour across the United States, we decided to select a special city in which to do a practice run trip with. We chose Spokane, Washington since we have several close nexus's within the state of Washington."

With this trip, they selected fifteen locations, including: (1) Spokane Publc Library on West Main, (2) Aunties Bookstore on West Main, (3) Gonzaga University Bookstore, (4) Foley Center Library on East Boone, (5) Cal's Books & Videos on N Hamilton Steet, (6) SFCC Library on Fort George Wright, (7) Spokane Public Library - Eastside on South Stone, (8) Booktraders on W Garland, (9) Spokane Public Library - South Hill on South Perry, (10) Hastings on West Wellesley, (11) Spokane Public Library - Shadle on Wellesley Avenue, (12) Hastings on E 29th Avenue, (13) 2nd Look Books LLC on E 29th Avenue, (14) Spokane Public Library - Hillyard on North Cook, and (15) Hastings on N Division Street.

When we asked the status of their visit, on their second day, Ms. Moeszinger continued, "Although we intend to make personal contacts within each of the libraries and bookstores mentioned above, this is a short three day trip so we knew we would not be able to visit everyone with this first visit. However, Spokane has shown us such a warm hospitality, we will be back soon to continue our tour!"

Wolfe and his publisher return to Santana Row in San Jose, California Wednesday. There much anticipated upcoming eight week book signing author tour across the United States is being scheduled as we speak and should begin end of April, early May ending in Manhattan, New York at the BEA conference in June.

Public Library Association Conference Wrap Up

National Tradeshow, Philadelphia, PA

SAN JOSE, California - March 29, 2012 - Fox Hunt Publishing Group extends thanks today to the 2012 Public Library Association Conference attendees. More than 8,700 library staff, supporters, exhibitors, authors and guests from across the country attended the Public Library Association’s (PLA) 2012 Conference in Philadelphia this past March 14th through 16th to discuss various issues that impact U.S. public libraries and their users. Dedicated solely to meeting the interests of public librarians, the conference has a reputation for excellence, making it one of the most popular and successful events in the public library world.

Of the many divisions of the American Library Association that serve more “niche” librarians, few host a book fair as widely regarded as the Public Library Association. The fair, which takes place every two years – the years opposite its school and university library counterparts – draws a larger audience, no doubt because it covers larger ground (case in point: school libraries concern themselves with k-12, university libraries concern themselves with higher level and technical and text books; Public Library covers everything). The 2014 Public Library Association Conference will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana.

By the fair’s end, this group of librarians took nearly 100 Combined Book Exhibit catalogs, featuring ads by Chrysalis Chronicles – The Eyes of the Desert Sand by Edwin Wolfe and others. The show generated more than two hundred and fifty leads stemming from librarians, branch managers, directors, administrators, students and others.  We asked, Aauvi House Publishing Group to comment on behalf of Fox Hunt Publishing Group:

“Again, we are thrilled with these results. Not only are we getting the Chrysalis Chronicles book series and Edwin Wolfe’s debut novel, The Eyes of the Desert Sand, out into the public through such events, educators and librarians across the country are showing interest,” said Lori Moeszinger, Publisher and Editor and Chief.

Book Reviews! Here's What People Are Saying About Chrysalis Chronicles - The Eyes of the Desert Sand

February/March 2012 Book Review Coverage

SAN JOSE, California - March 28, 2012 - Fox Hunt Publishing Group wraps up February/March 2012 book reviews for Chrysalis Chronicles – The Eyes of the Desert Sand by Edwin Wolfe. Here’s what people are saying:

“An eight year old is curious, especially about the things that can’t be explained. ‘Chrysalis Chronicles: The Eyes of the Desert Sand’ is the first entry into the Chrysalis Chronicles, following young Ethan Fox and the connections to the portals that lead to other worlds, as he and his new friend Haley try to piece together everything they are suddenly experiencing. ‘Chrysalis Chronicles’ is worth considering for those looking for youth fantasy inspired by Harry Potter.” – Midwest Book Review magazine “Children’s Bookwatch”

Chrysalis Chronicles - The Eyes of the Desert Sand, receives another 5-star review on Goodreads!
"The Chrysalis Chronicles - The Eyes of the Desert Sand Book 1 - From the opening pages where we are first introduced to 13 year old Ethan Fox and his beloved parents, George and Betsy, through the winding pathways that guide us through the start of Ethans story, to the closing lines where we must say a fond farewell (but not for long I hope) to all the characters weve met thus far, I had a wonderful time learning their story!

Chrysalis Chronicles - The Eyes of the Desert Sand is the start of Ethans strange but exciting story. The only child of George and Betsy Fox, he has a very close relationship with them. His only problem, (and its something he seldom thinks about) is that he has no memory of anything before his 8th birthday. His parents have told him an accident caused his memory loss. With no reason to think anything is not as it should be, Ethan doesnt let his lack of memory interfere with anything. He and his parents are very close, spend a lot of time together and really enjoy being together. Ethan has a great life and great parents and no worries about the future, or his missing past.
Ethans problems begin when he suddenly starts having difficulty sleeping. For several days, this persists. One morning, after finally falling asleep, Ethan awakens to discover a poem that he has written. He knows he has written it as it has his secret mark, but he has no memory of writing it. When he shows his father, George is dismissive of it. Ethan accepts what his father says, but later Ethan hears his parents argue about it, which worries him as his parents NEVER argue. He then sees his father with a very old book, which he is putting away in a secret spot that Ethan knows nothing of. At a family event Ethan has a very strange run-in with 3 men, he actually thinks theyre vampires and that they were trying to kidnap him. While his parents dismiss his story, he thinks that they actually believe him.
A week later, on a family day at the beach, Ethan meets Haley, a young girl who also has no memories, and while his parents are busy, Ethan and Haley wander off down the beach. Ethan spots a 3 foot tall blue rabbit that Haley cant see, and they follow it. The bunnie disappears and Ethan and Haley discover sand stairs that disappear down into the ground. Ethan starts down, and thats when the fun really begins!

EXCERPT chapter 2 - The hooded stranger looked towards the floor as he made his way across the room. Raising his head as he neared, the stranger slowly lowered his hood revealing his face. And it nearly sent Ethan into shock! He knew this face!It was that face! It was him, the man who had tried to kidnap him that night - nearly a week ago!

Throughout this extremely entertaining story, Ethan meets some remarkably diverse characters. From the blue taletaddler who says xo-xo, to the shape shifting sea hydromorphs, from the Grumplings to the grimtailed dread, the characters are different, interesting and colorful. This was such a interesting read, I had difficulty putting it down, even for just a short time. It had a great storyline, the story flowed very smoothly and I loved the characters. I look forward eagerly for the next book in the series.
(I received a copy of this book through the GoodReads FirstReads program. My review was unsolicited and is based entirely on my own opinion.)" – Susan Ashcraft
