So I’ve spent the last year writing/editing a trilogy of stories involving this guy called Dust McAlan.

Right now I’m a hundred and twenty-five pages deep into the third story. They’re all connected, despite each one being a different story with new characters and different MacGuffins. But Dust, man, Dust is fun. He’s so much fun to write.

I keep thinking to myself, “Man, I need to stop writing in this world and figure out something else to write.” But it’s just so much fun. I’ve always wanted to be Indiana Jones and follow ancient artifacts into adventure, and now I’ve got that guy that I get to write and be.

I think that, once I finish the third story in the trilogy, I’m going to take some time off of writing. Shake it loose. It’s tough, because my brain is thinking ahead and wants to do a fourth book already. I know exactly how it would go, how it would work. That’s fun, but also kinda scary. Like I can’t pull myself away from this series. It’s just going and going.

Like an adventure.

Whew! Anyways. So that’s what I’m up to right now.

Check it out: Empire of the Serpent keeps getting five star reviews:

"This is a book that has it all - friendship, love, adventure, rivalry, greed, ambition, and vindication. Well researched and informative, Dust McAlan and the Empire of the Serpent mixes history, myth and fantasy and the result is a story that is both entertaining and enlightening."

“As I reached Chapter 3, I knew it would be difficult for me to put it down. There is high level action that sometimes leaves you holding your breath and consistent vibrantly detailed scenes.”

"Also, I feel that because the adventure is so over the top I appreciate that it’s not trying to be the next tomb raider or Indiana Jones, although it could be, but rather it seems dedicated to pushing the boundaries of the genre, which is exactly what the adventure genre is all about."

"I tell my 4 boys all the time "Reading a good book is like playing a movie in your imagination!" That is exactly what this book was like! I would love to see this book up on the big screen!"

Come discover the adventure for yourself, either on Kindle or in paperback!

Hey friend it would make it a lot easier to reblog things from you if you put your comments in the tags. That way people can still read them (I always read tag comments), but people who want to reblog the post but not extra commentary on it don't have to t

See, I’m of a different school of thought: I like reading all the comments added on. Reading the tag comments defeats the purpose of the tag to me, since tagging something is supposed to make it easier to search and highlight. Making tag comments is like spray painting graffitti over a map that you want to use to help you navigate, except now you can’t see where you’re going because you just put spraypaint all over it.

To each their own, though. Cheers!
