Forever an inspiration, thank you
Man, this is heartbreaking.
I want to see the show again badly but the DVD sets are so pricey. One day I'll catch up. I don't believe I've read any Indy comics which is a shock for me since I'm such a die-hard fan of the whole saga.
Definitely find yourself a copy of the Indiana Jones Omnibus Vol. 1 from Dark Horse Comics. That’s a great start. I want to get the others, but the Omnis are pricey. On Amazon there’s used copies for fairly cheap. What I want to do is get the Further Adventures Omnibuses, as those collect the Marvel Comics published stories from the early 80s, and I’ve heard that they’re actually really good.

On the subject of Indiana Jones, did you ever watch the Young Indy TV series that aired back in the 90s? I remember catching a few back then but that was so long ago and I hardly remember. What I most associate with Young Indy was a cool storybook I had fr
I have an interesting history with Young Indiana Jones. I’ve never seen any of the episodes of the show, but I have read some of the Dark Horse Comics versions of the episodes; part of me has always kind of wanted to see Young Indiana Jones, but there’s another part of me that actually really truly enjoys and loves those comic book adaptations. So I’m torn. One of the comics, however, was all about Indy’s adventure’s with Pancho Villa, so when Kingdom of the Crystal Skull made that reference, I just about lost it. It really made me happy to hear that. Of course, I realize the comic adapted the screenplay of the episode and turned it into a comic, but still, what memories came back.

Empire of the Serpent is #4 in Action/Adventure in Germany!
You can download Empire of the Serpent no matter where you live — US, UK — via Amazon. In the meanwhile: thank you, Germany!
Dust McAlan and the Empire of the Serpent is free for Kindle today and tomorrow.
It’s the weekend: a holiday weekend, a movie weekend, and it’s also the anniversaries of a couple of adventurous films. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is 30, and Last Crusade is 25, so after you’ve gone and seen X-Men and done the barbeque bit, hop on to Amazon.com and get Dust McAlan and the Empire of the Serpent for free either today or tomorrow. Have a little extra entertainment and finish off the long weekend right.
Hey everyone, I’ve decided to leave Empire of the Serpent on free download mode for the rest of today and tomorrow. I’m just looking to get the book out there and read by folks, so if you don’t mind a few reblogs to help me put a little spotlight on this, I would be fantastically grateful. If you enjoy Indiana Jones or adventure stories of any kind, the book is all-ages, but would rate a PG-13 if you have little ones. All in all, I’m really proud of it, and you’ve already read it and wouldn’t mind leaving a starred review on Amazon, that would be also humblingly awesome. Many thank yous in advance!
EDIT: if you’re in the UK, it’s free to download as well. Share and share alike!

my childhood russian edition of lord...

my childhood russian edition of lord of the rings had the most amazing, medievally styled illustrations by sergey yuhimov.
i haven’t appreciated them when i was a child (i obviously wanted something more aesthetically obvious), but now i think they’re just - really badass. going to upload all i could find, in three posts.
ETA: Part 2 is even better! Don’t skip it.
Holy crow, these are sweet!
