So I’ve spent the last year writing/editing a trilogy of stories involving this guy called Dust McAlan.

Right now I’m a hundred and twenty-five pages deep into the third story. They’re all connected, despite each one being a different story with new characters and different MacGuffins. But Dust, man, Dust is fun. He’s so much fun to write.

I keep thinking to myself, “Man, I need to stop writing in this world and figure out something else to write.” But it’s just so much fun. I’ve always wanted to be Indiana Jones and follow ancient artifacts into adventure, and now I’ve got that guy that I get to write and be.

I think that, once I finish the third story in the trilogy, I’m going to take some time off of writing. Shake it loose. It’s tough, because my brain is thinking ahead and wants to do a fourth book already. I know exactly how it would go, how it would work. That’s fun, but also kinda scary. Like I can’t pull myself away from this series. It’s just going and going.

Like an adventure.

Whew! Anyways. So that’s what I’m up to right now.
