Interview with Liz Adams - Author of Adult Fairy Tales

Please welcome the talented Liz Adams to my blog today!  She's here to answer a few questions and talk about her smoking hot adult fairy tales.
Sue Lyndon:  Liz, what inspired you to start writing?Liz Adams:  When I was 14, my girlfriend and I found a dirty newspaper in the bushes. She and I returned to her house and giggled over the pictures of naked women. But when she read aloud some of the letters of men's fantasies, more than just my face got hot! She was gracious enough to let me keep the paper. That is, I pulled it out of her trash can when she wasn't looking. When I think back on it, she made such a show of throwing it away, she was probably going to retrieve it from the trash herself after I left! Anyhow, I really wore that newspaper down as I read those letters over and over. I finally tried writing out my own fantasies when I was 16. About a year later, I sent one to Penthouse Forum and it was published! I was so excited, I decided to work hard at improving my writing so I took up creative writing in UCLA.Sue Lyndon:  If you could be the heroine in one of your own books, who would it be and why? Liz Adams:  That would have to be Alice in my erotic version of Alice in Wonderland. I wrote most of my fantasies in that novella. All the naked men, the tasting, the touching, the licking, the thrusting, the long and thick of it, I put those dreamy images in Alice’s Sexual Discovery in a Wonderful Land.Sue Lyndon:  Do you write under a pen name?  If so, who knows about your naughty writing activities?Liz Adams:  Liz Adams is indeed my pen name. My book coaches, Beth and Ezra Barany (an amazing husband and wife team), suggested I have a pen name for a few reasons. In case I ever publish in a different genre, as I plan to do one day, it’s good to keep the erotica genre under a separate name. Also, it helps with avoiding stalkers (heh, heh). As to who knows about my naughty writing, I’m fortunate enough to have a supportive family. They all know about what I write. Even my parents. They would never read my erotica, though! Sue Lyndon:  Tell us a little bit about your newest release.

Liz Adams:  One of my most recent releases is an erotic version of Red Riding Hood, a short story. It’s adult fairy tale erotica meets Romeo and Juliet, where the love between a young woman and a werewolf is forbidden. Amy “Red” Riding is tired of being a virgin. Her best bet is a lycan named Sean. He’s perfect. Crystal blue eyes, dimpled smile, buff chest, and wicked bulge! But being in a community that frowns upon human-lycan relationships makes loving Sean more challenging than she ever imagined.

When it came to writing the forbidden love between Amy and Sean, I pictured the American attitude for love between a white woman and a black man before the civil rights movement. I asked my family what the common excuses were back then for why blacks had to be treated the way they were treated. I then incorporated those expressions like “everyone has their own place, blacks have their place, whites have theirs” into my fiction. I had one reviewer say how refreshing it was to read about a couple fighting for their love instead of against it.  What’s so exciting is that a group on Goodreads, Kinky World, has voted this short story to be their Book of the Month in October, 2012. My excerpt is down below. JSue Lyndon:  Where can readers find your newest release? Liz Adams:  The best place to find Amy “Red” Riding’s Hood is on Amazon. Http://amzn.to/EroticRedRidingHood. My erotic version of Alice in Wonderland is at http://amzn.to/AlicesSexualDiscovery.Sue Lyndon:  Tell us about your upcoming writing projects.Liz Adams:  I intend to write an erotic version of Alice Through the Looking Glass. I’m quite excited how that will turn out. Alice will gain X-ray vision (from having hit her head in the fall from the first book). Feeling like she can’t see her own soul as well as others who care about her do, she uses her X-ray vision while looking at a mirror. Hoping to see inside her soul, she ends up transporting into the mirror world.I also have outlined an erotic version of Goldilocks (working title is Goldie’s Locks). Goldie is a cunning thief who must resort to her skills of self-defense and persuasion to fight (and f**k) the bearish men who discover her.Excerpt from Amy “Red” Riding’s Hood:Four weeks ago she sought out to charm Sean at his farm, and found him working shirtless. He was stroking the earth with a hoe, his biceps flexing, a lock of his dark hair arcing over his forehead. Thunderballs! I could watch him forever. After taking a moment to hungrily watch the muscles in his back ripple in the warm sun, she finally called out his name from the road where she stood and waved.“Well, if it isn’t my old childhood playmate.” He stopped his work and leaned on the hoe, a half-smile slipping across his handsome face.Without hesitation, Amy sprinted to him across the tender earth and hugged him something fierce. Sean! She sighed in her heart. His hot, solid body pressed against her breasts. The naked skin of his back warm against her arms and palms, the scent of his manly sweat, she didn’t want to let go. He didn’t let go, either. At least, not at first. His strong arms felt good wrapped tight around her body. He ended their embrace, leaned back to look her in the face and spoke in his deep voice, “Why, Miss Amy Riding, you’re getting prettier and prettier every time I see you.”She felt her cheeks heat up. “That’s hard to believe considering I often run into you in town.”“I look forward to those moments, Red. It’s always fun talking to you.” He squeezed her shoulder.“Why wait? You should come visit me.” She gripped his muscular forearm and smirked. She didn’t think it would be appropriate to add: “I want to get to know those crystal blue eyes, dimpled smile, buff chest, and – wicked bulge of yours.”“I don’t think your parents would like that very much. Remember when we were kids playing innocent games of hide and seek? As soon as they found out you were spending your playtime in the lycan community, they took you away and I didn’t see you again for seasons.” He took her hand in his.“I remember.” She playfully swung their hands. “They worked hard at trying to explain what was so wrong with lycans. Forget my parents. I’m not a child anymore.”“I can see that,” Sean’s eyes traced up and down her body. Amy shivered in delight. “Still, it’s good to respect your parents’ wishes.”Amy shrugged. “So come at night after they’re asleep. You can come through my bedroom window.” Amy thought it cute how he blushed at the mention of her bedroom.“Your bedroom? That is, I…uh.... Anyway, aren’t you on the second floor?”“You can climb, Sean. It’s not that hard.”“No, but it’s starting to be.”Now it was her turn to blush. She gulped. “Oh, you are bad.”“That’s me. The big, bad wolf.”Her heart fluttered. She felt wet and giddy already. “I have yet to see just how big you are.”“Now who’s being bad?” He tickled her sides. She pulled away laughing.

Interview with Sharon Kleve, Author of The Corny Myers Series

Sue Lyndon: Hi, Sharon! Tell us a little bit about your newest release.

Sharon Kleve: Klutzy Love is a Paranormal Romance and the third book in the Corny Myers Series. It takes you back to when Corny and Steve first meet.

Corny is a hot chick with a great job that she loves. All that changed in the blink of an eye when her boss had an accident involving an oversized rubber band. She’s still a hot chick, but her boss is dead.

Steve Spears is a seasoned narcotics cop who ends up wanting to strangle Corny on a regular basis. After finding out Corny’s dream of opening a pet detective business, he decides he doesn’t want a girlfriend who routinely puts herself in danger. That’s his job!

Corny misses Steve, but she’s getting on with her life. She decides to get a month’s worth of dating out of the way in a single night, by combining her three favorite things—men, food, and alcohol.

Steve’s big gun and cop’s intuition saves Corny’s life, but not from another trip to the emergency room. He makes Corny promise never to get hurt again—she agreed, but has her fingers crossed behind her back.

Sue Lyndon: Where can readers find your newest release?

Sharon Kleve: Klutzy Love is available on Amazon, Amazon UK, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords.

Sue Lyndon: If you could be the hero/heroine in any novel, who would it be and why?

Sharon Kleve: I'd love to be Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum. To have two sexy, dangerous men like Joe Morelli and Ranger fighting over me would a girls dream.

My heroine in The Corny Myer Series is similar to Stephanie Plum, but with a psychic twist. She speaks to animals.

Sue Lyndon:  Do you like to listen to music while you write?

Sharon Kleve: Yes, I absolutely have to have music on while I write. I still have a day job and even there I have a small radio that I keep on low while I work. I have very eclectic taste in music. I like to write to Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Madonna, and Taylor Swift. I love pop music from the 60's, and 70's like Atlanta Rhythm Section 'So In To You' and Bobby Bloom 'Montego Bay'.

Sue Lyndon: Coffee or tea?

Sharon Kleve: I'm a Starbucks snob, through and through. (Double, tall, soy, latte)

Sue Lyndon: What inspired you to start writing?

Sharon Kleve: Well, because the little voices in my head tell me to—seriously, I’ve always talked to myself—now I put the voices on paper.

I was a late bloomer and didn’t start my love of reading until I was in my twenties and then I couldn’t get enough of the wonderfully, smutty Harlequin books with really sexy hot guys on the cover.

I’ve worked in the government sector for fifteen years and always dreamed of having a job that I could work from home. This crazy idea came to me one night, after reading a particularly sizzling romance. Why not try my hand at writing one? So, out of the blue I told my husband I was going to write a Harlequin novel. He said, “Okay.”

I figured I’d read enough of them, I could write one—no problem. Eight thousand words later; I realized it was harder than I thought. I also realized, I wasn’t writing what I was most comfortable with—animals.

I put my Harlequin attempt on the back burner and started writing “The Boss from Hell”. My boss, who I adored, had been fired and his replacement was a living-terror. It was really easy to come up with material to write about and of course I threw in a bunch of romance and of course animals. Ninety thousand words later I was still optimistic that I could write for a living, but I’d need a lot of support, my cat couldn’t give me. The support came in the form of Romance Writers of America and all the people involved in the local chapter.

Several of the members of my local chapter read my book and made numerous suggestions, one of them came from an independent publisher—Books to Go Now. She told me to put the novel aside for now and try my hand at a short story. That’s where I incorporated the paranormal aspect to my writing and it really clicked for me.

I submitted ‘Flamingo Blues’, as a Christmas short story to Books to Go Now and I was offered my first contract. ‘Be Mine’, a Valentine short story, is book two of ‘The Corny Meyers Series’ and in addition to a contract, I won the holiday contest too. Woo hoo! Klutzy Love is book three of ‘The Corny Myers Series’, which came out in August 2012.

That's why I started writing….

She's nervous but aroused by the promise of a spanking...

Today's six sentences come from Punished by the Cowboy, my erotic short story due out next month with Etopia Press.  It'll be included in the Halloween Erotic Anthology and will also be released as a stand alone.  In this story, the heroine meets the hero in an online dating community that caters to people with a spanking fetish.  And let's just say they have an eventful first date:)

The beautiful petite woman squirmed in her seat as she twirled one braid around her fingers in a nervous fashion. And she had plenty of reason to be nervous.

Jacob moved around the table toward Elizabeth and folded his arms across his chest, causing her to sink lower in her chair. The contrast of her pleading blue eyes against her silky black hair and dark skin was startling, and he'd found it difficult not to gawk at her all evening. The fringes decorating the breast of her shirt reflected in the light as her chest rose and fell in little puffs. The promise of a spanking had her aroused.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please check out other Six Sentence Sunday entries at www.sixsunday.com

Interview with Renee Rose - inside the mind of a spanking fiction author

Sue Lyndon:  Renee, tell us how you got started writing.  Did you start out writing spanking fiction, or did you experiment with other genres first?
Renee Rose:  I started off writing a straight romance, editing out the spankings that showed up in my head.  Then I discovered there was a spanking fiction genre and I heard the angels singing!  Right now I'm trying to see if that first manuscript can be converted back into spanking fiction.  There might be too much “non-spanko” plot in it, though... I fear it would be too long.  Sue Lyndon:  Tell us a little bit about your newest release.Renee Rose:  Deathless Love is about a local rock singer/closet spanko who gets involved with the owner of the club where she sings.  He is a perfect dominant to her, bringing all her fantasies to reality until the fact that he's a vampire seriously complicates their relationship. Here's a little snippet:
“Dom, I wasn't testing you, I swear!”
“I believe you, bambina. But I still have to spank you.”
She gave him her best puppy dog eyes. “You don't haveto spank me.”
He smirked. “Yes, I do. It will help you remember next time. Now, be a good girl and take off your clothes.”
She sat on the bed feeling defeated. “I don't wantto be spanked, Dom!”
“That's the bitch of it, isn't it?” he said lightly. “Come on, if I have to strip you and put you in position, I am going to make your butt even sorrier than it's going to be.”
Her belly flipped again. She scrambled off the bed and pulled off the t-shirt and boxer briefs she had borrowed from Dom since she didn't have a change of clothes there. Dom patted his knee. She went reluctantly to him and he guided her gently over his lap.
“Did you read any of those blogs?” he asked.
Odd time to start a conversation. “Ye-es.” she said from her muffled position.
“I learned all kinds of ways to spank you better. You gotta love the internet, right?” With that, he started spanking, still conversing with her as if they were sitting down over a cup of coffee for a chat.
Sue Lyndon:  Where can readers find Deathless Love?Renee Rose:  Amazon US, Amazon UK, Barnes & Noble, and Blushing Books
Sue Lyndon:  Do you listen to music while you write?  If so, who are you favorite artists?

Renee Rose:  I love music but I can't listen when I write because then I wouldn't hear the voices in my head.  <grin>

Sue Lyndon:  I assume you write under a pen name, as most erotic romance authors tend to do.  Are you open with your family and friends about your naughty writing activities?

Renee Rose:  I am horrible at keeping secrets!  I have told many friends-- I fear soon the whole town will know.  Egads, what will the other board members of the PTA say??  For family, I only told my dad.  My mom never, ever needs to find out... :)

Sue Lyndon:  Tell us about your upcoming projects.

Renee Rose:  I'm working on a regency, two medievals and brain storming an F/m sequel to Deathless Love.

Sue Lyndon:  Where can others find you?

Sue Lyndon:  Is there anything else you'd like to share with readers?

Renee Rose:  I love plantain chips and I'm getting fairly handy with a hula hoop.

The older, experienced Dom meets the young, inexperienced vanilla woman

I love to read about older men seducing younger, inexperienced women in erotic romance books.  Even better, I love to read about an older, experienced Dom who meets a young, inexperienced vanilla woman he can't get out of his head.  It's a trope I never seem to tire of, and I've written a few stories with this theme during the last year.  In my latest release, Tessa's Submission , the heroine is a twenty year old runaway who falls under the spell of her thirty-five year old employer, who happens to be an experienced Dom.

Here's an excerpt:

(Note:  Richard has just caught Tessa Googling his name and looking at pictures of him on the internet.)

“Maybe you didn’t hear me the first time, young lady. What are you doing?” Richard stood tall, glaring down at Tessa in disbelief. He’d expected the library to be empty at this hour, but instead he’d found the ripe temptation he’d been resisting for days gawking at pictures of him on the internet. Shirtless pictures, no less. This additional frustration fueled his annoyance.

She shrugged and looked at the floor. “I – I was curious about you. I’m sorry. Please don’t be mad.”

His shoulders relaxed as some of the tension drained out of him. It wasn’t fair to take his frustrations out on Tessa. God, why was she so young? He felt positively wicked as his eyes roved over her body. “I’m not mad,” he said. It wasn’t entirely the truth, but he wished to calm her fears. If she wasn’t comfortable around him, he didn’t stand a chance in hell with the lovely blonde goddess who’d unknowingly haunted his dreams all week.

“I’ll turn it off,” she offered, spinning back around to close the window and shut the computer down. After she accomplished this task, she rose up and met his eyes. “It’s late. I should get to bed.”

“Wait.” He grabbed her arm as she moved toward the door, reveling in the silky warmth of her bare skin under his fingers.

“Yes, Mr. Black?” Her voice wavered as she trembled under his touch.

“Why were you so curious about me?” The air in the room thinned as he awaited her response. She shifted to face him, holding his gaze for the longest while with a thoughtful look.

“You’ve been so kind to me these past few days – well, when you’re not bossing me around.” She blushed profusely. “I like you. I think you’re a nice man. But I only see you during meals and you never talk about your personal life. Curiosity got the best of me.”

He leaned forward and her breath hitched. “I’m not a nice man, Tessa.”

“I think you are,” she said, raising her chin. When he drew her closer with both hands, she didn’t resist.

“You have no idea the bad things I want to do to you.” His confession came out as a lusty rumble, and Tessa’s breathing quickened as she continued to stare into his eyes.

“What kind of things?” she whispered.

His lips brushed against her soft earlobe. “I want to tie you up and spank you. I want to make you beg. I want to fuck you until you scream. And other, much darker, dirtier things. Does that scare you, Tessa?” He leaned back to study her reaction. He saw disbelief, a hint of fear, confusion, and – to his delight – unbridled desire.

She fumbled. “I – I don’t know what to say.”

“Say what you’re thinking.”

“I’m thinking I’m kind of new at this, but I want you, Mr. Black.”

Kind of new at this? His eyes narrowed and he tilted her chin upwards. “Are you a virgin, Tessa?”

Laughter leapt from her throat, and Richard tightened his hold on her arms. He wanted an answer, and he didn’t find his question humorous. “I’m not a virgin,” she finally said, schooling her expression. “I’ve been with one other guy, but we only had sex twice.”

The idea of another man’s cock between Tessa’s thighs sent a surge of hot rage through Richard’s body. None of his previous conquests had affected him this way, and he was momentarily caught off-guard. “When?”

Her forehead wrinkled cutely as she appeared to ponder this question. “Um, about a year and a half ago. We didn’t date for very long. I caught him cheating.”

Well, that’s settled. Richard thanked the stars above she wasn’t a virgin. Before the night ended, he planned to fuck her six ways to Sunday. He still felt like a devil taking advantage of a naïve woman, but her lack of virginity made this escalating situation easier to live with, although his cock was telling the moral center of his brain to go jump off a cliff.

“He was an idiot,” Richard said, pressing his groin against her stomach. Tessa pushed back, causing him to moan. She smelled divine, her hair damp from a recent shower and the scent of body wash fresh on her skin.

“I know,” she replied, her eyes fixated on his mouth.

It was all the encouragement Richard needed. He captured her lips hard, exploring and tasting Tessa for the first time with a fervent, breathless kiss that left him hungry for more. His hands slid to cup her face, holding it in place as his tongue plunged deeper and he took control. Tessa melted into him, surrendering to his will as they joined in a dance as old as time. Still standing in the middle of the library, Richard gyrated his aching cock against her belly, and she rose up on her toes and jerked her hips forward. When she moaned into his mouth, his moral center took a nosedive off a high cliff, disappearing in a deep canyon. Sayonara.
He broke away, reluctantly. “Go lock the door.”

Tessa's Submission is the sequel to Valentine Submission , however both stories can stand alone and are available on Amazon, Amazon UK, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, and Kobo.

She's in trouble with her guardian again...

Today's six sentences come from Shana's Guardian .  It's currently a chapter a week story over on Bethany's Woodshed, but the completed novella will be released in a few months.  The story takes place in a post-Apocalyptic America.  The heroine in this story, Shana, was sent to live with an uncle she'd never met at the age of sixteen.  Daman was briefly married to Shana's aunt and they aren't related by blood, but since he was her only living relative, she's sent to live with him after her parents die when a plague sweeps through her settlement.  I love the characters in this story a lot and I can't wait until the book is released!

A shiver ran down her spine and warmth pulsed between her legs. The same apprehension, coupled with a physical arousal she’d rather not admit to, overcame her each time she worried about Daman’s reaction to her waywardness. He had instructed her to return home immediately after fetching the book, but she hadn’t obeyed him – for reasons that now seemed foolish.

Who was she kidding? Once she opened the door, she would be in for it. Deep.

Want more?  Chapter One of Shana's Guardian is available on Bethany's Woodshed here.

Long weekend, more time for kinky reading

I'm grateful for three day weekend.  I have plans to relax, attend a few cookouts with friends and family, and get lots of reading and writing time in.  I have spanking romance books by Celeste Jones, Renee Rose, and Constance Masters sitting on my Kindle begging to be read.  I'm also excited to have time to finish the latest Star Trek: Voyager pocket book that was released this week, The Eternal Tide.  Yep, my reading habits are all over the place:)

I'm also happy to share with everyone that my erotic spanking romance novella, Shana's Guardian, is a weekly story on Bethany's Woodshed right now.  A new chapter posts each week, and this week chapter 3 was posted.  It's for members only, but the completed novella will release with Blushing Books in a few months.  Want a sneak peek of Shana's Guardian?  Chapter 1 is posted for free:  Shana's Guardian, Chapter 1.

Hope everyone in the states has a nice Labor Day weekend filled with family and friends, good food, and kinky reading time!
