Today's six sentences come from
Shana's Guardian
. It's currently a chapter a week story over on Bethany's Woodshed, but the completed novella will be released in a few months. The story takes place in a post-Apocalyptic America. The heroine in this story, Shana, was sent to live with an uncle she'd never met at the age of sixteen. Daman was briefly married to Shana's aunt and they aren't related by blood, but since he was her only living relative, she's sent to live with him after her parents die when a plague sweeps through her settlement. I love the characters in this story a lot and I can't wait until the book is released!
A shiver ran down her spine and warmth pulsed between her legs. The same apprehension, coupled with a physical arousal she’d rather not admit to, overcame her each time she worried about Daman’s reaction to her waywardness. He had instructed her to return home immediately after fetching the book, but she hadn’t obeyed him – for reasons that now seemed foolish.
