Spotlight Saturday with Suz deMello (Sue Swift)
Please give Suz deMello (Sue Swift) a warm welcome to my blog today for Spotlight Saturday! She's stopped by to chat about her erotic romance novel, Queen of Shadow, and to answer a few questions about herself.
Suz, who are a few of your favorite authors?
You go right for the tough questions! Too many to list, really. JK Rowling, Ursula LeGuin, Chris Moore, and Carl Hiaasen are a few.
Do you like to listen to music while you write?
I love music but find it distracting when I write. I think silence is underrated.
If you could be the heroine in any romance or erotic romance novel, who would it be and why?
Of my heroines, I’d choose Audryn of Queen of Shadow. What’s not to like about being young, beautiful and a queen?
Janus is a planet which lacks both tilt and spin, and its Shadowlands are the pewter band of dusk dividing the violently hot Lightside of the planet from its Darkside, imprisoned by eternal night. Because of the peculiar conformation of the planet, birthrates are low and indiscriminate mating encouraged.
Audryn, Queen of Shadow has reached that time in her life when she must choose a King to rule with her or fail to bear an heir, casting not only her realm but all of Janus into chaos.
Despite her duty, she is reluctant to share power, even a bit distrustful. Janus’ nobles vie for Audryn’s hand. Although she enjoys trysting with all her suitors, none seize her heart.
Then Storne, the warrior Prince of Darkness, arrives to claim her as his bride.
Will his masterful ways allure or repel the willful Queen?
Coffee or tea?

What are your favorite genres?
I don’t write in it, but I love to read YA paranormal.
What genres have you written in?
LOL, almost everything! I love to explore writing. I’ve written traditional “sweet” romance, comedy, romantic suspense, mystery, paranormal (including futuristic and vampire fiction) , fan fic, historical, paranormal and erotica, including BDSM, ménage, kink…you name it, I’ve probably explored it as a writer. The only genres in which I haven’t written that I can think of are YA and inspirational.
Star Trek or Star Wars?
Both but I’m really a Trekker from way back. I’ve actually attended conferences and Halloween parties dressed as a Vulcan. I was madly in love with Mr. Spock at age thirteen—I have a thing for geeks.
Do you write under a pen name? If so, who knows about your naughty writing activities?
I write using the names Sue Swift for “straight” romance and Suz deMello for more erotic fare. I hope everyone knows! I’m not ashamed of writing erotica, nor am I afraid that some crazed fan will come along and enact what I’ve written….which would be really weird. There’s a great deal of unjustified fear in the world.
Tell us about your upcoming writing projects.
I’m working on the sequel to Temptation in Tartan, vampire historical erotic romance with a touch of BDSM. Temptation will be released by Ellora’s Cave later this year.
Please feel free to leave Suz a nice comment:)

Six Sentence Sunday ~ 6/10/2012
My most popular release,
Valentine Submission
, finally became available on Barnes and Noble a few days ago. It was released back in February and did the Amazon Prime thing for a while, but I'm happy that Nook readers will finally be able to check it out. Today's six sentences aren't from Valentine Submission, but instead from a sequel I'm working on right now, tentatively titled
Tessa's Submission
.

You have five minutes.” He spun on his heel and left Tessa standing alone in the middle of the great, extravagantly decorated room.
You have five minutes. His strict command left her confused and turned on at the same time. The confident way he carried himself, the intense glimmer in his eyes, and the deep, authoritative tone of his voice had her creaming in her panties.
The prospect of spending three weeks under the same roof with Mr. Black left her terrified and excited at the same time.
***
Hope you enjoyed that! You can find the first book, Valentine Submission , on Amazon here and on Barnes and Noble here.
xoxo Sue

Spotlight Saturday with Dianna Hardy
I'm excited to welcome Dianna Hardy to my blog today for Spotlight Saturday. She's here to answer a few questions and talk about The Witching Pen Novellas and her upcoming releases in 2013.
Dianna, who are a few of your favorite authors?I’m a huge fan of J R Ward, Larissa Ione and Heather Killough-Walden. I like realistic and snazzy dialogue with a punch, and heroes and heroines who are amusing as well as sexy.Tell us a little bit about your newest release.
It’s not really that new anymore, lol! But I’m working hard on The Witching Pen Novellas, which is a quirky, London-based paranormal romance trilogy. The final installment is due out at the end of August so I’m plugging away at the third book, The Demon Bride. The photo you see in this post is the paperback cover for the book. It’s a challenge because the characters are quite intense and so is the plot, so I’m trying to fit in a whole load of action into about 60,000 words, although I’m never strict with my word count. I like my writing quite fast-paced – my books tend to read a bit like a TV series. You can read all about The Witching Pen World and characters here at the website: http://www.thewitchingpen.co.uk It’s receiving some great reviews, and I couldn’t be happier :)What inspired you to start writing?I’ve always written – no inspiration needed. But what inspired me to start publishing was seeing how possible it was to distribute your own eBooks and print books nowadays. I’ve always wanted to be an author, ever since I was little, and after the birth of my daughter and being on maternity leave, I finally had the time.Where can others connect with you?WEBSITE: http://www.diannahardy.comFACEBOOK (very active): http://www.facebook.com/authordiannahardyTWITTER (very active): http://www.twitter.com/thewitchingpenBLOGGER: http://www.blog.diannahardy.comHow do you go about choosing names for your characters?I’ve never had a problem with that actually, lol! Names just tend to pop into my head. What are your favorite genres?Paranormal romance and urban fantasy, also horror, and anything with dark romance or fantasy in it, with a healthy amount of erotic thrown in.Star Trek or Star Wars?Star Wars! Luke Skywalker was my first crush when I was five ;)Tell us about your upcoming writing projects. In 2013, I have three novels due out, all of them hot, action-packed urban fantasies. The Last Angel is the spin-off to The Witching Pen Novellas, and more info can be found at http://www.thelastangel.co.uk Project Veil is also upcoming. It’s a little bit sci-fi and a little bit dystopian. There’ll also be romance in it, but the romance won’t be the focus. You can keep up to date with everything on my own site http://www.diannahardy.com
Dianna Hardy is a multi-genre author of paranormal things, dark things, poetic things, sexy things, taboo things, and sometimes funny things. She writes about witches, demons and angels. All info can be found on her website DiannaHardy.com

Six Sentence Sunday ~ 6/3/2012
Today's snippet comes from my erotic romance novella, Dark Without You . It'll be out with Etopia Press in a few months.
He ignored her whimpers of protest as he guided her over his lap, but was pleased she didn’t resist physically. Her sweet, albeit reluctant, submission was a precious gift, and it moved a previously unaffected place in his soul. The profound depth of his feelings for Alice at this moment caused his heart to skip a beat as he rubbed gentle circles on her back. “I’m going to take your temperature first,” he said, his voice thick with emotion and lust.“Um, what do you mean?” Her innocent question brought a smile to his face.
Did I write a naughty scene with a thermometer? Oh yes, yes I did. ::Evil grin::
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week, everyone!

Spotlight Saturday with Katie O'Connor
I'm excited to welcome fellow Etopia Press author Katie O'Connor to my blog today for Spotlight Saturday. Please give her a warm welcome! Katie's here to talk about her latest release, The Gift, and to answer a few questions. She was also kind enough to let me guest blog over on Katie Oh! today.
Katie, who are a few of your favorite authors?
I love Robert Heinlein, and Anne McCaffrey for the fabulous worlds they create. My favorite erotica author is Rhian Cahill. I’ll read pretty much anything, but I detest inconsistencies. If your heroine’s house burned down last week, she better not be seen wearing last year’s Halloween costume tomorrow.
Do you like to listen to music while you write?
I usually have my little pink iPod playing while I write. I love classic rock and late 80s early 90s country music. I have a secret passion for the crazy music from Newfoundland. But I have to say, I do my best writing while ‘watching’ my husband play lacrosse. (Must be all those sweaty men.)
Tell us a little bit about your newest release.
My newest book is my first published book, it is called the Gift. It was published by Etopia Press in December of 2011. It is an erotic romance novella about a woman with fantasy and how she makes it come true. In a nutshell: Two women, two men. Are their hearts big enough to share?

Back Cover Blurb:
Sammy Jarvis is harboring a secret fantasy and desperately wants to make it a reality. Finally she finds the courage to ask her adoring husband for a special Christmas gift, one that will make her dreams come true.
She wants Nick to help her find a woman to make love with.
What is a man to do? Stymied, Nick turns to his old college lover Carl. While brainstorming the problem, Nick and Carl take a trip down memory lane to the time when they were lovers.
With their rekindled desires satisfied for the moment, they devise a plan for Sammy to meet Carl’s girlfriend Gina.
When Sammy and Gin meet, clothing begins to fly. Being with Gina is everything that Sammy had imagined, but now she wants more. She’s set her cap on Carl as well.
Sammy’s heart is big enough to encompass them all, but is there room in her marriage to Nick to accommodate her new-found love for Gina and Carl, or will this tangled lover’s heap destroy them all?
Excerpt:
Nick watched his wife wiggle in her seat in the back of the taxi. It was only mid-November, but tonight had been his company’s Christmas party. A few years ago, his employer had started holding it early to reduce the holiday party load. It was a little untraditional, but Nick always enjoyed an evening of socializing and visiting with friends. So did his wife.
Sammy had consumed a fair amount of wine with her dinner and followed up with a couple of spiced rum and ginger ales. She wasn’t drunk by a long stretch, but she was definitely in a good mood and more than a bit horny. The evening had been long, the company and food fabulous. He smiled, remembering the way she had wiggled and danced to the music of the band. She loved music and dancing. Nick loved the way alcohol and dancing combined to turn his wife into a horny little minx. He leaned against the corner of the door, watching her, and noticed the cabbie was having trouble keeping his eyes off her.
She wiggled and twisted, and he knew she was doing it deliberately to turn him on. Knowing the driver was watching just added fuel to her fire. Her blue eyes flashed, and her curly blonde hair was starting to come undone from its fancy up-do. She had a sexy, come hither, I need to be fucked look, and it was driving Nick to distraction.
She hadn’t always been like this. Nick recalled their college days when they had first met. Sammy had been hot, but unsure of her sexuality and very inexperienced. It was this combination that had first attracted him to her. One look at her hot body and her shy smile and he was a goner. He knew instantly that she was going to become very important in his life. He just hadn’t realized she would become his wife.
Tonight he recalled their first few dates with a smile and an almost gleeful mental rubbing of his hands to think of the sexy siren she had become. She had grown from a shy almost-virgin to a red-hot mama, and it was all for him. She dressed sexily, coming close to sleazy when they went out, but she never quite crossed the line to tramp. She simply looked hot. He had overheard a couple men at the party talking about wanting her, and it only made Nick want her more.
They pulled up in front of their house, and Sammy shimmied to the front of the seat, her skirt sliding up to reveal the full length of her toned legs. She leaned forward to thank the driver, giving him a hot, sexy smile and a full view of the sexy red bra covering her generous breasts.
Nick almost laughed when the man knocked ten dollars off the cost of the ride. He paid the man, tipped him generously, and followed Sammy’s wiggling ass into the house. Ten minutes later, Sammy unceremoniously stripped him of his clothing and pushed him backward onto the bed. She pulled off her dress, slipped out of her panties, and kneeled over him.
“I’ve decided what I want for Christmas.” Sammy eased herself down on her husband’s long, thick cock. Allowing just the head to slip inside her, she paused, her legs burning with the effort it took to hold herself perched in a squat above him without sheathing him fully inside and grinding against him. She wiggled back and forth a bit, her small motions threatening to dislodge him. “I don’t want you to buy me a gift.” She wiggled again. “Instead, I want you to do something for me.”
“Ah, is this really the time to ask a favor?” He growled up at her, tugging on her hips in a vain attempt to draw her down onto his hardness. After two weeks out of town on a project, he was near to bursting with need. “Come on,” he pleaded, “slide down onto me.”
Compliant for a second, she eased another inch inside herself, biting her lip to keep her own arousal at bay. This wouldn’t work if she gave in now and let him have what they both needed so badly. She had to stay strong and resist the urge to take him hard, right now.
“I want you to do something for me,” she repeated, easing upward, allowing his erection to slip until she was hovering with him barely broaching her entrance. “Come on, Nick, tell me you’ll do this—” Her words were a plea and a demand all at once. Come on, dammit, agree before I orgasm and lose my power over you. She wiggled a little, her hands coming up to cup her breasts, fingers kneading and tweaking her nipples. She pushed up on her breasts, pushing them over the top of her bra. She pulled a little, stretching her breasts toward him in the way that always drove him wild.
Nick groaned and reached up to cup her breasts himself. Sammy eased away from him and waggled her finger. “Nothing for you until you agree…” She trailed off enticingly, swivelling her hips, her hands tangling in her blonde curls and messing her hair sexily.
“Dammit, Sammy,” he swore up at her. “I’ve been waiting for this for weeks.”

Coffee or tea?
Definitely coffee. I am a total grouch and entirely non-functional without my morning cuppa. I love sitting in my favorite breakfast restaurant and sucking back the coffee while I write. I put in two hours of good work and then am joined for breakfast by a friend.

What is your ultimate writing goal?
I’m not sure I really have a writing goal; writing is just part of who I am. I have so many ideas rattling around in my head that I have to put them onto paper or my head would explode. I am just excited to be published. It makes me happy when I hear from a reader who enjoyed my story. It is exciting to know that I am entertaining people with my words.
Star Trek or Star Wars?
Definitely Star Trek … so many good series, such fabulous and far out plots. How can anyone not love Star Trek? (Especially the newest movie with the Lickable Captain Kirk! Yummy!)
Do you write under a pen name? If so, who knows about your naughty writing activities?
Katie O’Connor is my pen name. Almost everyone I know is aware that I write erotica (also known as cliterature.) But, not many people know my pen name, some of them would be embarrassed by what I write, others would want to know if I have really done everything that I write about. (As if!) I sure as hell don’t want the reprobates my husband plays lacrosse with reading what I write, it is bad enough that they know that I write erotica. And my mother will never be allowed to read what I write. Can you imagine? I would just die if she read it, it would be even worse if she liked it!
Tell us about your upcoming writing projects.
Works in progress: there are so many of them! *giggle*
It won’t be long before Corralling the Cowboy; an erotic short story is ready for publication. The next book I have coming out is called Tessa’s Trio. As you might have guessed from the title, it is more smut. It is the first in my Gallery Girls Series of erotic romances. You can expect to see both Tessa’s Trio, and Corralling The Cowboy to be published in next few months, watch my website for details.
BLURB for Tessa’s Trio: (Note: this is unedited as it is still a work in progress.)
Tessa Dupree has given up on men, and has sworn off them forever. Worse than that, she has given up on love.
But life has a way of throwing you a curve ball when you least expected it. Celebrating a sports victory in a local pub with her friends, Tessa meets Peter and is instantly decimated by her attraction to him and by the fantastic, earth-shaking sex she shares with him in the pub’s parking lot. Sadly, she realizes that she forgot to get Peter’s phone number in her rush to escape when a police officer interrupts their bliss. Now she has no way to contact Peter.
With Peter temporarily inaccessible, Tessa is stunned to discover that she’s falling in love with her best friend. She’s known Rob since sixth grade and not once had she thought of him sexually, let alone romantically. Now she’s on fire for him, and realizes that he has been the invisible standard she has graded all her boyfriends on, a standard that made them all sub-standard.
Attending a party to welcome Rob home from his overseas tour of duty, Tessa bumps into Rob’s friend Mitch. When he informs her that he is the cop that interrupted her and Peter in the parking lot, Tessa is mortified. When he confesses his attraction for her, she is stunned to realize that her attraction to him is as great as the attraction she feels for Rob and Peter.
Much to her surprise, Mitch declares his intention to court Tessa, even though his friends are also chasing her heart, and Tessa is stunned. Mitch and Rob reluctantly agree to the twisted three-way competition for her heart, but Tessa finds she is unable to choose between them. But when push comes to shove, they work together and find a compromise, all way for all of them to stay with Tessa and share her loving and generous heart.
Please feel free to leave Katie a nice comment:)

Six Sentence Sunday ~ 5/27/2012
Today's six sentences come from a western romance novella I wrote, A Firm Husband, originally published on SpankingRomance.com about a year ago. It's now available on the Blushing Books website and on Amazon.
"I am going to teach you a lesson, Miss Sutton – over my knee.”
Clara’s eyes bulged of their own accord and she lowered her chin a notch, suddenly short of breath. She was very aware of Mr. Davies – physically – and second guessed her prior boldness. He was tall and muscular, his starched white shirt hugging his broad chest underneath a leather. His hair color matched that of his eyes. And the resolve in those dark brown eyes was frightening.
Hope you enjoyed those six. A Firm Husband has lots of spanking and steamy sex...so if that's your thing, please give it a look!
Thanks for stopping by:)

Spotlight Saturday with Penny Lockwood Ehrenkranz
Please help me give a warm welcome to Penny Lockwood Ehrenkranz. She's stopped by to answer a few questions and talk about her latest release, Mirror, Mirror.
Penny, who are a few of your favorite authors? My favorite authors tend to change after a period of time. Currently, I’m loving Jim Butcher, Kim Harrison, Devon Monk, and George R. R. Martin.
Tell us a little bit about your newest release. My latest release is from MuseItUp Publishing: Mirror, Mirror.BLURB: MIRROR, MIRRORLindsey Baker is intrigued by everything about the middle ages, but when she purchases an antique mirror and a costume to attend a Renaissance Faire, she suddenly finds herself transported back in time. There she finds she’s been called by a witch to right a terrible wrong.
Graham loves Prudence, but he can’t marry her because he’s landed gentry, and she is only the baker’s daughter. Before Lindsey can return to her own time, she must convince Graham to marry against his father’s wishes. Unfortunately, she also finds herself falling for the handsome gentleman.
Can she find her way back to her own time, or will she be stuck in a time when women had no rights?EXCERPT: MIRROR, MIRROR“Fool-born child! Watch where you are walking. The master will have your hide for getting mud all over his clean shirts.”Someone pulled her ear—hard—and Lindsey yelped with pain. She was tugged up into a kneeling, then standing position, before she opened her eyes. She realized in the first moment she was no longer in Oregon.“Where is your cap? If the master sees you with your hair hanging down all over your face, he will switch us both.”She stared wide-eyed as a large, buxom woman bent down, picked up dirty white shirts from the ground, and thrust them into Lindsey’s arms.“‘Tis not here. Take my extra one.” The woman grabbed Lindsey’s hair, balled it, and shoved it into a long, sleeve-like cap, which came to Lindsey’s forehead and fell down around her shoulders. Balancing the load of shirts with one hand, she felt the cap. Not a shred of her hair was showing.“Um, thanks,” she said.“Well, donna be thanking me now. You just watch what you be doing next time, clumsy girl. Now march back into the washhouse and get the mud off those shirts. When you have finished, hang them out to dry. Then get you into the kitchen and help cook with dinner.” The woman brushed her hands off; then she smoothed her apron and marched through a courtyard toward a large stone house.Dumbfounded, Lindsey stood where the woman left her. She looked down at herself and saw she still wore her second-hand clothes from St. Vincent de Paul’s. Her feet were bare. Then she noticed the woman walking away from her was also barefooted. Despite the muddy courtyard, the air was warm and so was the soil. But where am I? As she looked around, the structure of the buildings reminded her of pictures from her British History course in college. In the opposite direction from which the woman took, Lindsey noticed a path leading to a small outbuilding. Smoke rose from a chimney. She trudged back to the washhouse, opened the door but stepped back outside when her eyes began to tear, and the heat blasted her face. Do people actually work under these conditions? With the door opened, some of the smoke and steam cleared, and she was able to see a large wooden tub sitting on metal legs straddling hot coals. Lindsey dumped the load of shirts into the tub, picked up a stick and stirred the load in the water. Before long, her muscles ached, and she had blisters on her hands. Once the tears began, there was no stopping them. Until this point, she hadn’t thought much beyond putting one foot in front of the other. She collapsed on a small overturned crate and with head in hands, had a good cry. With red, puffy eyes, and stuffed nose, Lindsey looked up when the door opened. A wizened old woman leaning on a cane shuffled in. She looked at Lindsey with questioning eyes. “Is it really you, Mistress?” she asked.“What do you mean? Who am I supposed to be?” Lindsey responded between sobs. The old woman began to dance. “It worked! It worked!”Lindsey wiped the tears from her eyes with the bottom of her skirt. “What worked?” she asked, realizing this woman might know what happened.“Why the summoning I did for Mistress Prudence. So you’re the one, eh?” The old woman pinched Lindsey’s cheek and turned Lindsey’s face from side to side to get a good look. “Well you do look like the young Mistress. When are you from, then?”“You did say when, not where?”“Of course. I know you’re not from now, foolish simpkin. I brung you here.”“This morning it was 2011. I’m not sure what year it is now.”“‘Tis the year 1421, and you need to get busy, little missy. You need to get the Master to accept Prudence as his bride. Soon as you do, we can send you back from whence you came.”Lindsey stood and looked down at the little woman. “Just how do you propose I do that? Who is this master, anyway?”“Why, he be the master of the house. He loves our Prudence, he does, but his father wants him to marry for money. He’s just distraught our Master is. I wager you be a smart woman. You can get our Master to marry you. I canna help you anymore, but I’ll be watching you.” The crone turned and shuffled toward the door.Where can readers find your newest release?Mirror, Mirror can be found at the MuseItUp Bookstore here.at Amazon hereand online at other booksellers such as Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, etc.Coffee or tea?I actually enjoy both. I start my day with a cup of coffee and then drink herbal, green, and white tea during the day and evening. My favorite is Vanilla Chai. What inspired you to start writing?Like most writers, I’ve been writing since I was a child. My father used to make up bedtime stories for us, and I think that stuck with me when I was old enough to write my own sentences. As a child, I was (and still am) an avid reader. I dreamt of the day, I would be able to entertain other people with my stories the way I was entertained. Life got in the way for a number of years, and I didn’t start writing professionally until 1993. Since then, I’ve written for both adults and children, fiction and non-fiction.Where can others connect with you?Website: http://pennylockwoodehrenkranz.yolasite.comBlog: http://pennylockwoodehrenkranz.blogspot.comFacebook: www. facebook.com/penny.ehrenkranz Twitter: @PennyEhrenkranzWhat is your ultimate writing goal?I hope to entertain my readers, no matter which genre I’m writing. In addition to romance, I also enjoy writing fantasy, soft science fiction, light horror, and paranormal. All of my stories tend to have a touch of romance (except maybe the horror), so I guess I also hope readers will feel good after they read them. How do you go about choosing names for your characters?I have a book of names that I consult, but I also pay attention when I meet someone. If the person has an unusual name, I make a note of it. I worked for several years in our county’s juvenile justice system and often came across unusual spellings of names. If one intrigued me, I added it to my list. Sometimes, I just play around with common names and switch the letters, to make the name less common. What genres have you written in?Romance: contemporary, time travel, and historical, Fantasy, Soft Science Fiction, Light Horror, and Children’s: paranormal mystery; contemporary, picture books. (I do not write erotica or any form of “steamy” sex scenes.)Star Trek or Star Wars? That’s a tough one, but I think I have to say the original Star Wars. I can still remember sitting in a theatre in New York City the first time I saw it. I was awestruck. My friends and I must have seen it at least five times after that on the big screen. Years later, my husband and I bought the DVD collection.

Spotlight Saturday with Lea Barrymire
Please give Lea Barrymire a warm welcome to my blog today for Spotlight Saturday. She's here to answer a few questions and talk about her latest erotic romance release, Half in Love.
Do you like to listen to music while you write?I absolutely listen to music while I write. Usually I vary my playlists to match the mood of the scene, but honestly give me some Korn or Rob Zombie and I’m a happy camper. Anything alternative or hard works well for my writing style. I like to have the distraction of a strong beat playing in the background. I’m sure there’s something to that from a psychological standpoint, but I just know it works.Tell us a little bit about your newest release. My newest novel, Half in Love, released out May 10th from Siren Publishing. It’s a paranormal/shifter erotic romance about Willie, and yes she’s a girl, a cougar shifter who finds her mate in the most unlikely of circumstances. Here’s the blurb: Willie Krenshaw wanted nothing more than a few minutes watching the waters of Lake Erie after a long workday. What she ended up with was a drugged male vampire and an itch to be a Good Samaritan. When her inner kitty starts sniffing around at the male she's helping, she knows Fate's evil sense of humor is in full swing. Being a shifter-vampire hybrid is hard enough, but having a male vampire as her fated mate is just too much.Nickola, the vampire she assists, finds her breathtaking and does all he can to push Fate's agenda.Stephen is the male vampire Nickola is investigating for the Council. He takes aim at the couple, intent on pulling Nick to his side or killing him. Between Stephen's scheming and the Council's interest in Willie, can they survive the chaos long enough to test the depths of their passions?Where can readers find your newest release?Half in Love was published through Siren Publishing and will hit Amazon, Barnes and Nobles, etc. in a few weeks. It can be purchased now in all e-book formats through Siren BookStrand, http://www.sirenbookstrand.com/half-in-loveCoffee or tea?Coffee, definitely! A little cream, dash of sugar and I’m all good.Where can others connect with you?I’ve become quite the Twitter addict! You can find me on Twitter, Facebook, my Blog and email.Website: www.leabarrymire.comBlog: http://leabarrymire.blogspot.com Twitter: @leabarrymireFacebook: http://www.facebook.com/lea.barrymireEmail: leabarrymire@gmail.comHow do you go about choosing names for your characters?Don’t laugh, but the characters tend to give me their names. Yes, I am one of “those” writers that have enough extra people living in my head to fill a small town. If a character doesn’t have a name then I start tossing ideas around, asking who ever is sitting with me at the time, etc. until a name strikes me and the character agrees. I’ve had to change names a couple of times for characters that didn’t like the original one I gave them. What genres have you written in?I really enjoy writing paranormal and sci-fi, but I’ve dabbled in BDSM and ménage. I like reading paranormal and sci-fi, so I tend to think of those stories first when I’m daydreaming up ideas. The ménage is by far the hardest type of story for me to write. There’s something about writing sexual acts between so many bodies that is hard, pun totally intended.Do you write under a pen name?I do write under a pen name. Most of my family knows I write erotica, and if they ask I tell them my pen name, but there aren’t too many people out there that can connect the two. It’s all cloak and daggers, smoke and mirrors.Tell us about your upcoming writing projects.I have the first book in a paranormal/ futuristic series coming out on June 12th. The series features super soldiers that were engineered in a lab through genetic manipulation. They are designed with altered genes that give them heightened senses and skills. The doctors had also figured out how to unlock psychic abilities. One of the genes the doctors inadvertently unlock is a primal, animalistic gene that is triggered when a perfect match, or mate, is detected. Cain is the first of these men to exhibit the symptoms of this gene.Other than Cain I have lots of things in the works. His brother-in-arms, Adam, will be getting his story written next. Willie, from Half in Love, will be getting a sequel, well, really Alex is getting a story but don’t tell Willie. She’ll be pissed that the jerk gets his own book. Her story is releasing May 29 from Siren BookStrand.I have a BDSM Quickie story being published by Ellora’s Cave in the near future. Oh, and I tried my hand at their EC for Men series with a sexy prostitute named Destiny. Her book, Another Taste of Destiny, will be coming soon as well.Thank you so much for having me on your blog. I’m super excited that my first interview as a published author is debuting on your page!

Six Sentence Sunday ~ 5/13/2012
Did you know I have an erotic romance novella called
Dark Without You
coming out in a few months from Etopia Press? Here's an R-rated snippet from the story:
" When she drifted back to reality, he was rubbing her bottom and telling her what a good girl she was. She sniffled and lay limp over his lap, her brain momentarily turned to mush.“I’m going to do something new today, Alice,” he said, his hand leaving her for a moment. She perked up and was about to ask questions when a cool trickle of lube ran down her crevice. She tensed as his finger probed her bottom hole. She felt him apply more lubrication and was startled as he began to push something inside her. "Hope you enjoyed that! If you're in the mood for a spanking romance novella and haven't yet read my first release from Etopia Press, Mountain Devil , please check it out. It's on Amazon, B&N, Bookstrand, Sony E-reader, Kobo, and All Romance.

Spotlight Saturday with Morticia Knight
I'm excited to have Morticia Knight visit my blog today for Spotlight Saturday. Please give her a warm welcome! Morticia writes HOT bdsm and ménage stories. She's here today to answer a few questions and talk about her short story, "The Perfect Third", recently published in the
All Together Now
ménage anthology from Total E-Bound.
Morticia, who are a few of your favorite authors?
I could go on for days answering this question! When I was younger, it was all about Stephen King, I couldn’t get enough. Recently, the authors that got me back into romance are Karen Marie Moning and Elizabeth Hoyt, I like their snarky, strong and smart heroines. The hunks aren’t bad either! In erotica, there are so many diverse and interesting authors out there, but I have to admit that it was “The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty” by A.N. Roquelare (Anne Rice) that introduced me to the concept that erotica could be legitimate literature - written and read by educated women.
Tell us a little bit about your newest release.
I am very honored to be a part of the All Together Now ménage anthology from Total-E-Bound Publishing that was just released this week. My story, “The Perfect Third” is part of this cool collection that explores ménage in a variety of interesting situations – and eras!
Here's an adult excerpt:
Denise had been begging for what they were about to do for a long time, but they always wanted to make sure a girl knew what she was getting into—or, more accurately, what was getting into her—before they attempted it.
“Hold on, boys,” she said lasciviously. “If we’re going to do what I think we’re going to do, I want to use some of my toys.”
Lorne was puzzled, but Antony looked almost insulted.
“I’m sure you’ll get plenty of pleasure from what our cocks are about to do to you,” said Antony, trying not to let his pride bring the evening to a halt.
“Oh, sugar, I know they will! It’s just that, well, you boys are so…organic in your tastes. I’ve wanted to add a little more spice to things for a while. I promise you, it’s purely to heighten what I’m already sure will be sensational.”
Antony looked at Lorne to gauge his reaction. Lorne merely shrugged as if to say ‘Why not?’
“Sure, babe, tell us what you want.”
“Okay, Lorne darling. Antony’s already nice and ready for me here. Do you mind grabbing my little bag of tricks over by my closet door?”
Lorne looked in the direction she was pointing and saw a small black tote. He picked it up, and when he unzipped the top to view the contents he got the complete picture of what she wanted. Their kinky little Denise liked it rough. Lorne and Antony had very little in the way of taboos, but BDSM had never been their first choice with a date. They both truly loved women, and would never do anything to hurt or degrade one. But if that was something the woman wanted, they would do their best to please her.
“Any requests?”
He could see Antony sitting up on the bed, straining around Denise to try to get a good look at what was going on. The evening had taken an interesting turn.

What inspired you to start writing?
I was alone a lot as a child – both parents worked long hours, I didn’t have siblings near my age, and I was often left with senior citizen babysitters. One had to invent a much better scenario than that! So, in the beginning, it was picture stories with captions, and I moved on from there. Sorry – no graphic pics in the new book!

What genres have you written in?
Contemporary ménage, paranormal, M/M, M/F and BDSM. I have an entire BDSM series available at Amazon (Bound by Pleasure) that is still nagging at me for more sequels. Those characters are not done yet. I’ve also started toying with some historical ideas, but none of them have knocked me down and dragged me to the computer yet, so we’ll see.
Star Trek or Star Wars?
Lord of the Rings. Sorry – I’m a very militant LOTR geek.
Do you write under a pen name? If so, who knows about your naughty writing activities?
You didn’t believe that Morticia was my real name? Tee-hee. A few friends and family know what I do – but only the hubby, my #1 fan, and a couple very close friends know the actual name. Until I win the Pulitzer, I need to maintain a certain persona at my day gig!
Tell us about your upcoming writing projects.
I have a 3 book series called “Uniform Encounters” that will be contemporary M/M and MMF. It’s – you guessed it – all about those hunky guys in uniform. It will include firemen, police and paramedics. I also have an MMF Halloween story out at a publisher right now – it has a great paranormal slant, and I really fell in love with the boys in this one. *Crossing my fingers*. Thanks for having me Sue!
