Dreams
Today, let's talk about dreams. How many of you out there dream? or rather I should put it as: how many of you out there do not dream?
For those who do, the next and the obvious question is what actions do you take to make that dream come true? and for those who do not dream, my question to them would be why on earth are you not dreaming?
For the former, they have taken the first step and need to go ahead pursuig the same and for the latter my advice would be if you are not dreaming then you are not living.
So, guys! Start Dreaming and go after your dreams, for when you do achieve them, that is the most wonderful of moments in your lives that you can ever experience.

My interview publsihed in inext (Dainik Jagran) :)
This is the first time someone has taken my interview and this is the first time that I am seeing myself on a newspaper. It is indeed a good feeling and a sense of achievement and accomplishment.
But what comes in my mind right now are the famous lines of Robert Frost:
"And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep"

The Final Hurdle
How often have we felt that we are so near the thing that we have always wanted, yet so far? I have encountered numerous situations in my life where I have felt just the same.
It is this final stage that makes us all so nervous and sends jitters in our body, whether it be hitting the winning runs while playing cricket or be it trying to emerge victorious in any situation.
This situation is accompanied with a plethora of emotions which makes us all very anxious at the same time gives us strength and motivation to go ahead and achieve the goal.
And such situations set a lot of demands on individuals which if followed help them overcome their tension and stress, one being to remain patient and control one's excitement evolving from the very thought of being so near to the goal and another one to remain calm and composed when the actual situation arrives.
At the end of the day, one must always remember: "karm karo fal ki chinta na karo" and trust me if you have worked really hard for something you are sure going to achieve it

A Tribute to Friendship: Beete Lamhe
How often have you heard people reminiscing : "those were the times". And more often than not, they are talking about those beautiful memories from their college/school days which we all cherish and treasure throughout our lives.
Today was one such morning, and indeed the reminiscence bug was all out to hit me head-on. While going through my daily exercise routine, the memories from the past started to occupy my mind.
It was not before 20 minutes, that I realized that I had gone to another world altogether. At the end of these 20 minutes, there was a smile on my face and I felt quite relaxed and energized.
So, here is a tribute to all my friends who have been there, done that
:
"Khushk hawa mein achanak yoon nami kahan se aagayi,
bejaan pade is dil mien yoon zindagi kahan se aa gayi,
saath beete tum logon ke wo pal hi hain mere doston,
jinki yaad aaj bheed mein bhi tanha mujhe bana gayi" ——- courtesy satythegreat

Cloud 9 really Exists!!!!
I never used to believe the concept of cloud 9 before this. But today, the early hour feeling confirmed beyond any doubt that something like this really exists. It is not often that I get up in the morning so thrilled and excited.
And the reason was the beautiful ring that I saw clad in my finger this very morning, which instantaneously reminded me of the beautiful girl whom I am so lucky to have got engaged with.
A few days back, one of my friends had told me about the romanticism that he used to derive from the word fiance, having gone through the same emotions. Then, I didn't believe him much, but today, I would like to completely agree with him.
This certainly puts it beyond the slightest of doubts that I am truly in love
, which makes me wonder and at the same time respect the positive nature of this very beautiful emotion which we all call love.
My advice to everyone out there would be: when this emotion can change lives for good then why not start loving?

Available: NOT ANYMORE ;)
I think I will never forget what transpired on the 20th of Feb. I would not like to label it as "The Day" as it is yet to come, but in all senses of the word, it was a day which I cannot forget all my life.
Clad in a Golden kurta, I indeed was the Guest of Honour for the day. It was a feeling that one could only experience on his/her own. It was the first time that my every action was being watched by the audiences who had gathered at the venue for the occasion.
Ranging from being treated like a prince to being flocked around by all my dear saalis, I felt like I was a VIP, which makes me wonder how good one feels when he/she is given so much of importance.
Around 9 p.m. the moment when I held my to-be-wife's hand and started to adorn her finger with a ring, the feeling finally sank it…
Mr. Kush Srivastava, you are engaged now to a beautiful lady whom you are supposed to love forever and ever

2 Days to Go ;)
On one hand, some of my friends tell me that it is the most beautiful of things that can happen to a man. On the other, some tell me that this will be the end of all the freedom that I have enjoyed so far.
What ever might be the interpretation, I am sure that I am in for a totally new life, a life which every guy would dream of but would not accept and acknowledge the very act of dreaming (masculinity as we call it).
But surely, this is one of the things that a guy looks forward to, having a good wife and a good life indeed. So, am I all set? This very significant question was asked to me yesterday by very own brother.
To be frank, I didn't have an answer. And being who I am and being the person who believes in taking on life as it comes, I am sure I am all set

My Dil goes mmmmmm ;)
Some people call it silly, some might call it crazy, some might call it madness, some might call it immaturity, but I call it Love. Anyone and everyone who has fallen in love knows what I am talking about and are well aware of the symptoms of the very feeling and emotion.
You start expecting a call from your loved one everytime your phone gives a buzz. You start to dream about things that you would have not otherwise done. You tend to become more calm and patient and the things that used to annoy you earlier, you tend to ignore them and become more forgiving.
Lot of positives come out of this emotion, and in turn makes one a better person at the end of the day. But there are always two sides of the same coin. Negatives tend to accompany positives. And it is these negatives that one should be wary off and should ensure that these don't take over our mind and body.
So, let us come together on this Valentine and celebrate this beautiful emotion, extracting all the positives from the same.
Wishing you all a very Happy Valentines Day

Yesterday was the First Time for Me
Yesterday was indeed a very special day for me as a person. It was yesterday that I got my first opportunity to deliver a lecture on a topic that is so close to every person who dreams of scaling heights some day in his/her life and become successful in all senses of the word.
It was indeed a challenging task to define success and in turn motivate the audience to tread the path which would ensure a higher probability of their success. It starts right after having an aim in life, because right after that, the desire to achieve the goal and fulfill one's aim starts taking control of one's mind and body, and one starts to adopt the virtues of self-discipline and hard work.
So far so good. But there was another aspect of success, which was more towards the philosophical nature of the subjective topic. And this was to ensure that success leads to happiness and in turn satisfaction, as at the end of the day, satisfaction is the key to one's happiness, which I consider should be the prime goal of every individual on this planet.
The question was how can one derive satisfaction and in turn happiness from the smaller things in life e.g. receiving a wake up call from one's girlfriend expressing her emotions towards the guy can mean much more than say a promotion or a pay hike.
So, its really important to understand that life is much more than just getting caught up in this vicious circle of success and failure. As I always believe, its all about celebrating life and our very existence.
So why not get out there; say, believe and practice: "Three Cheers to Life".

The First Time
They say that there is always a first time. And when it comes, it all depends on how one can hold onto his/her nerves, as at the end of the day, no one looks at the factors that go behind the consequences of holding one's nerves, its just the results that become starkly visible and stare us right in our faces.
And then our worth is decided by those same results. Somehow I am very perplexed with this whole societal concept of worth, but let's not go into that, for, it stands this way at least in the current scheme of things and hopefully might change sometime in the future.
As it stands one needs to make a good impression the very first time, and for the same reason, it is often that we come under extreme pressure emanating from our families to start with.
The question is how to deal with this kind of a situation? Is there any ready made formula which can ensure that we emerge victorious from the same?
No matter how much we rehearse, no matter how many mock tests we take, no matter how much we pray, the only thing that matters is one's performance in a situation. It all starts from the preparation stage.
A good preparation would ensure that one remains confident when the time comes. And then one should leave it to his/her destiny.
As has been appropriately cited in the Bhagvad Geeta, "karm karo fal ki chinta na karo".
