Why I love paranormal romance and fun writing prompts for it!

I plan on writing more paranormal romance and my next project is the lore with mine and my boyfriends character. Then the 2nd Ghost Reaper book and I plan on writing more paranormal romance ones. I’ve even got an entire notebook with ideas about what to write. Writing prompts really help me get the juices flowing so if you write paranormal romance like me here are 50 prompts that seem fun to try for your next paranormal romance novel!

I've written 23 books so far!

Ghost Reapers is done and it is turned into my editor. Then after it is edited and I get the cover time to format and publish to Amazon, Draft2digital, Gumroad, Ko-fi and my discord shop! It wasn’t easy either this is one I worked on when I had a day job and recently I’ve been dedicating more time to my content and books. I’ve decided in between job stuff to work on my books and write and publish more. I wanted to write books and articles full time it is one of my dreams. I’ve been writing since I was in high school and now I can spend more time on it 23 books so far and many more. There are a ton of projects I want to work on too. Like mine and my boyfriend’s character lore, the second Ghost Reaper book and even a how to write book. 

This was huge too since it showed me how fast I could write. I even rewired the way I write my books by straight up typing instead of just hand write then type which takes longer. Also, I think the hard part comes after publishing a book since marketing is next. That isn’t easy. Also deciding if I want to order author copies or not and finding people to review my book! I’ll also be taking a writing class that one of my fave authors Kristen Cast is doing. She has a Writers Vault so I want to use it to help me make my books better. I’ve also been taking Nightmare Fuel by Autodesk they put together a course on how to write good horror novels. I’ve got a ton of writing craft books and prompts so I’m using my free time for self care and to making my writing better! That is all for now I’ll let you know when it is out!

When you are on a roll you are on a roll!

I’ve been working on myself now that I have all this time. I’m focusing on cleaning, organizing and working on the book Ghost Reapers it is one of my main projects and it isn’t easy. 11k words Ghost Reapers has a chosen one out for revenge to stop demons and bring back an evil sorcerer to stop demons from hurting the good Ghost Talkers. It is so much better now that I want to focus on my books more yes I’ll be applying to other jobs in between but I’ve been making more strides by saving and not worry as much about stuff. It is awesome focusing on my books. I now have enough time to do what I want to do, and see how long it tames me to write a rough draft. I love indie publishing so much since all I really pay for is editing and cover art the rest is free. So it doesn’t take much to get it up and running. Writing a book is easier then marketing but due to all the free time I can work on putting out more videos on Instagram, Tiktok and Youtube. I’ve also decided to stream more on Twitch vs Tiktok but that I might use for book stuff not games. Ghost Reapers is at 11,674 words and it is a chosen one slasher where they get revenge on the people who wronged them. I love revenge. It will be a fun book but I’m sure I’ll piss off alot of people but I don’t care honestly. It is something I need to write since there is a ton of writing projects I want to do. Hoping I can finish the book mid April maybe. I’ll have to see since it is hard not having steady income. I’ve been searching but it sucks so I’ve been focusing on streams and my books to take my mind off stuff. There will be more content coming it is just kind of hard to cope with stuff at times. I’ll do more articles I have plans on writing about the book process and streaming videos and articles. I’ve been streaming so much on Twitch I’m sure I can do that and book writing the rest of my life. Even got a new live 2D virtual model and a new main image for collabs in the works. Things are looking up and I’ll document it along the way!

Dumb Tweets on X!

I’m reading soo many dumbass tweets I’ll put them down here and my responses to them! I’m not using their handles since they don’t deserve my attention. Someone posted they used the f word the first time and this douche just had to reply:

It's more like a child's  balloon than a bomb, now.

That should endear you to those of both a low vocabulary & intellect, but if that's your target audience, & it sells books what does it matter to our society.

Remember, people who use obscenity & profanity can't or don't read.

I say cuss words and can read dipshit. Wrong take and opinion I’d be worried if you didn’t cuss my book has profanity since it is a rant book fuck off with the bs. 

Another commented on an authors appearance saying: 

if you don’t put in the effort to look decent while promoting your book, did you even put any effort into your book in the first place?

Wtffff….why would you ever want to say this? We don’t write looking like an office person this is the wrong field lol you aren’t even a writer or author so this opinion doesn’t matter and you are just trying to get attention from people. Some of my books were written in my pajamas and stuff I’m comfortable in no need to look presentable unless I am doing camera stuff…

Some people don’t read prologues so X was arguing about reading them or not. I have one only in my book Being a Vampire in Retail Sucks to recap events of previous books. 

If you don't have an outline before you start writing - you're not a writer. You're just an opportunist, pretending to be a writer. 

Lies people don’t need an outline they can just pants their way through a book. It also depends on the book and author. I used a paragraph for some and just pantsed my way through the rest. You are still a writer no matter what the person who said this is just an asshole wanting attention. 

Heck there will probably be more in the future. It seems like people just want to argue with people for no reason. Also, there was drama with the vtuber community and reaction channels going at it. Seems like there is a hot take with alot of people these days even saw a tweet that said Streamers aren’t therapists and even leaked private dms of a suicidal dude not even bothering to blur the names. 

So many people trying to say stuff for clout and it is annoying. But I’m still going to be me and write anyway. I’ll be working on my book Ghost Reaper since it is one of the first ones I want to finish. Unemployment sucks but it gives me time to stream and work on my books. I have an entire notebook and a shit ton of stories to work on so I’ll be doing that in between gaming and writing.

I republished some of my books on Amazon and Draft2digital here is why!

I made a decision to republish some of my books on Amazon and Draft2digtal since I missed having them on there. Also my layoff means more time to work on my back list of books and it means more people can rediscover my book. I also miss the feeling of paperbacks as well and I plan on continuing the Scarlet Summers series and even a spin off Killer Contract Agency book. They will be making a comeback in my book Ghost Reapers to help the Ghost Reapers with superpowers so she can take the souls with a magic sword. It is going to be fun to write. 

I orginially took it down because a spiteful person one starred my entire backlist out of spite and didn’t want to see it anymore. But honestly not having the books up kinda hurt since I want new readers to read it. Another annoying thing about writing is you have to have a thick skin due to people who act petty and spiteful and she tried to blame me for it when she started it. Like who tf just one stars books out of spite? Petty people. And honestly I don’t care at this point since yes my books needed work but they weren’t bad and they are apart of my history so I won’t let people bother me anymore in that way. You will get people like that and it is nature anyways I have more books in store and a book of ideas so I’ll be working through those and taking people along for the ride. I want to do a book about my author journey and put in all my books and my thoughts while writing them. I also want to put in my blogs too since I’ve been blogging since 2010 and it has been a long ass author journey. Full of petty bullies and alcohol and how I went from writing books during high school and college to writing books in between working. Now I can write books full time almost but I’ll need to put in the work so it takes off!

How I left my toxic relationship in 2019 and thrived after!

I also did a video about it:

I dated who I thought was the best guy in the entire world, and it was fine at first. Then it got annoying since he didn’t want me to have guy friends since he was paranoid about cheating. I wasn’t. He would go off on me for not texting him sooner, and would accuse me of cheating when I was doing chores. It was even the little things, and he even got mad about a towel not being straight and the shower curtain not being closed. He got mad over me spilling something on the floor. And the day before my birthday he got drunk and tried to fight his step dad, and he yelled at me since I woke up his aunt because of his mom who wanted me to. He even twisted my arm almost out of my socket, and I forgave him. I even hated asking myself why my arm hurt and it was because of him. He would also put me down about my job, and asked why he was with me like he didn’t want to be with me. He apparently couldn’t dump me, and he would constantly insult my intelligence as well, and called me worthless. The last straw though was one of the days when he got drunk he got into an argument with me because I didn’t want to move in yet. And he argued with me about it calling me names yet again just because I live with my parents and have a degree and still work retail. My mom was trying to stand up for me and he slammed the door in her face. And then got mad about the whole mom stuff, and I told him I didn’t want to end up treating my mom the way he treated his since he called her a piece of sh** and shut her out. He pushed me into a wall, and the cops were even called. So my mom takes me to get an emergency protective order, and when it ran out I gave his stuff to his aunt. His aunt gave his stuff to me. The day after he kept calling my work and saying it’s an emergency, and that was before the warrant was served. And then he tried to get to me through my close friends so they had to get involved, and I haven’t heard from him since I paid off the lease to his phone. So that is my story. I still think about it, and the memory of him pushing me into a wall still sticks with me sometimes. Heck apparently he is married with a kid and I feel sorry for them. 

I found the love of my life finally after I met him on Twitter and we are both streamers too. I moved in with him and this is one of the healthiest relationships I’ve ever been in too. He is showing me what a real man is like and not one just using me for money like the scammer along time ago did. It is a breath of fresh air. 

These are my tips:

It is important to nail down a niche when it comes to creating content!

I love social media in fact as of now I have 2,524 on Tiktok. 1,210 for my main Youtube where I talk about a variety of topics like writing, books, food and reactions. And there is my gaming channel WolfieWitchcatplays which has 1,098 and it is my exclusive gaming channel. I play cozy and horror games. Made Youtube partner with both my gaming and book channels and yet it feels like things are stalled due to life. Like I don’t make much with the partner program either since I don’t post consistently. 

Being laid off gives me time to think about what I want to do and where I want to go with my Youtube and Tiktok channels. Also, Tiktok can be tempermental and I had a dream I was taken from the app so it got me to thinking. I think I’m doing something wrong with posting about multiple topics since audiences are different. They are different for food and writing/books. I am going to create separate channels for food, reactions and keep gaming and writing/books separate! I now have the ability to run multiple channels due to all this time on my hands and I’ll post the results full links below! I also don’t want people unsubbing since they were expecting food and I did a book post instead. It also has to deal with finding an audience too. Being all over the place isn’t good to grow.

How I write my books plotter or panster?

I’ve written 20+ books and they are all different some following formulas like my AngelWitch series but a dumbass called them copy pastas nope! They aren’t and series follow a specific formula too like getting the AngelWitch and then reciving their rock to contribute to stopping the bad guy. I don’t know why but I love writing about soulmates and people getting out of bad relationships and finding someone better. I also like to write about revenge against people who wronged me. Petty but it is my way of getting over stuff so to speak. I’ll be working on my Ghost Reaper story more tomorrow and accidentally found another series but more revengy. Some books are more different then others but it all starts out with me outlining my books and then writing it from there. You can say I’m a little bit of both honestly. 

I plan out some books and some I just say fuck it and see what happens. Funny enough it all starts out with me getting a cute notebook and then writing out my chapters or outlines. It is fun to be creative and now that I don’t have a day job in between doing job apps I’ll be getting my writing up and going since I have enough projects to take my books full time it all requires time and producing novels. Heck I use to think that time was the enemy and having a day job sucked all creativity away from me. I was so tired after work I barely wrote. I’d try during the weekends but it was hard. Now I can properly write my books since I have all this time and really see if I can take it full time. Some series I can map out easily others can take time. I also have a book of ideas so I’ll never run out of them. I will use a notebook for all my outlines and even take notes to put in when I type it out. I love writing and I hope I can do this full time one day and become as successful as Stephen King one day!

It is nice finally having me time now I can spend my days writing and streaming and see what I can really do tomorrow will be a writing day!

Grief is back and it is for a different reason!

I always knew it would be there since after losing my mom 4 years ago I haven’t been the same since. 

Grief will always be there around certain times no matter what but I didn’t expect to feel it for a different reason. Being laid off is a loss and I am experiencing grief all over again. Laid off is one of the worst feelings in the world it is also even more worse knowing you tried to improve and now it seems like 4 years wasted. I’ll never have faith in a day job again. Someone told me it was stable and a paycheck lies only stable until they don’t need you. Then you are tossed aside like nothing heck I was referred to as a resource. It was sooo tramatic losing it. Like stability gone and now I have to figure out what I want to do. 

All the familiar emotions were there since I was angry, sad, depressed. I didn’t want to do anything. It sucks but it is what it is honestly since there is nothing I can do about it. It is my last week then after this no more day job. I’m not going to say work since I want to work but in a different way. Grief is just the worst feeling. Everyone is urging me to fill out endless apps to jobs just to have something. I don’t want to keep going with the rat race it just depresses me even more. Self-care is important during grief, feeling emotions and eventually things get better. I’ll be able to go outside and explore a new state it sucks it happened when I just moved into my own place. But maybe it means there is something better in store!

 Luckily there is always writing and content. So many story ideas I can play with and there are a ton of games out I can even make my Youtube gaming channel with a ton of content too and a ton of writing, reading vlogs and even food and booze reviews. There is also a ton of content I can react to as well.

I’ll even do an unemployment diary for Medium and Substack, Ko-fi, Youtube and Tiktok subs. There is so many more ways to make money other then a boring 9–5 job anyway. I needed the time to work on my stuff mainly and I can see how fast I can write a book. It should give me a purpose to get out of my grief stuff. Time to give it my all with books and articles!

I’ll admit when I first found out I was laid off and my last day was the 9th I cried and drank alot trying to process everything. Like why me when I did everything I could to improve. And why now when I just fucking moved in with my boyfriend to another state and got my own place. But I’ll be getting pay for a bit and there is still some money coming in till April so there is hope. But it also gave me time to think about what I really wanted to do and it isn’t slaving away for some company who doesn’t care about me. The job stressed me out and made me hate life, and I was getting high blood pressure. It was caused by my day job since it felt like I was blamed for stuff out of my control. But after having time to process stuff I think it is for the best since it will actually give me time to focus on what I love doing gaming streams, Youtube, my books and writing Medium articles. I’ll be doing what I love and one of my projects will be the Ghost Reaper book. Then I’ll be doing the lore with me and my boyfriends VTuber character and then finally my Author project book. I’ll be pretty much posting all my blogs in a book and all the processes to publishing a book from start to finish. This time allows me to work on myself and my writing! I’ll be getting a new gaming desktop too so I can stream properly I got all the parts for it before I got laid off and with it I’ll be able to make streaming and writing priorities it is something I want to do for myself. I needed me time I was burning out with the day job and not having alot of free time to do what I wanted to do so stay tuned. I’ll be writing articles daily and taking you along for the ride!
