Writing Updates!!!

Happy October by the way, and it’s my favorite month since I turn 28 this week. It’s hard to believe I’m that old at times. I graduated college in December, and got a full time job it’s retail though. Still something and it can take time for my books to take off and even find a better career. I hope to release the first Scarlet book by the end of the month, and it’s close to being done. Just need to put some details in, and in doing so book 2 has to be reworked. The Killer Contract Agency is introduced in book 1 now, and stuff will be explained more in book 2. I also have more plans for other series in the works, and I want to write books for the rest of my life. I have finally came closer to finishing then I have in a while, and I hope to publish more books. Besides books I also play video games and record gameplay for them too. I love video games. I play role playing games, horror, simulation, and even hidden object ones.

Venom Movie Review

I went to see the movie Venom starring Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams was Anne Weying, and it was a good movie. I loved the action scenes, and there was even humor. The opening scene started with a ship transporting Alien goo for this guy named Carlton Drake a rich tycoon who wanted to find ways to save humanity. First it was animals and the goo was an alien symbiote who needed hosts, and it was cool seeing the movie progress. The beginning of seeing someone lose everything, and then slowly change into Venom was a good transition. Tom Hardy played Eddie Brock who was a journalist with his own show. And I loved how they slowly showed his transformation. In the beginning I didn’t know what to think then it became clear why Venom was here on earth. There is definitely going to be a sequel in the end since it showed what is up next. I definitely recommend the movie so go see it!

10 Things You Only Get To Enjoy In October

October is definitely a spooky time!It’s finally here and Halloween is right around the corner. October is the month of Halloween where people dress up in costumes and go trick or treat. Kids knock on doors and get candy from strangers, and there are a ton of horror movies to watch on TV. Here are ten things to do in October! 1. Go on a hayride especially in October and even go on a haunted one to be scared out of your pants.2. Go to a bonfire and sit around the campfire telling scary stories. 3. Carve a pumpkin. 4. Watch nothing but horror movies!5. Go to a haunted house in an amusement park.6. Read horror novels to celebrate the month.7. Plan a costume for Halloween.8. To get in the spirit go to Halloween stores and get decorations for your house.9. Watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer to celebrate!10. The Predator 2018 Movie Review!!!

I went and saw The Predator yesterday, and I loved the movie. It’s good since it gave the old school feel to it. It also had The Predators real motivations on why they came to earth too. I saw Alien VS Predator already, and knew they enjoyed hunting the Xenomorphs as a form of proving they were great warriors. I also saw Predator VS Alien Requiem too when they took the fight to earth wiping out the species. This new one stars Quinn McKenna played by Boyd Holbrook, and he is on a mission in Mexico where he collides with the Alien, and the government tries to cover it up but he manages to send a few pieces back to his wife and son. His son is a genius and figures out how to activate the alien technology, and it becomes a fight to rescue the son. It had gore, action, and it was funny! I loved the ending since it teases the sequel, and a new technology to help win against the predators. It’s one of a kind and I loved every minute of it. There was action and a lot of gore. I definitely recommend it, and if you have seen it what did you think of it?

Searching Movie Review

Searching Movie Review!I went to see the movie Searching yesterday, and I really enjoyed it. The main character was a dad played by John Cho, and in the beginning it followed a family, and it was all done by computer. The whole movie was shot in computer scenes. You can see the dad logging into his computer and watch as he tried to find out what happened to his missing daughter which was done by logging into her social media and facetime conversations. It was a good movie and it kept me on the edge. The ending was surprising too and it was well put together. I definitely recommend you see it especially since it was an awesome thriller. It involved social media the entire time, and it was cool seeing a story enfold that way! I didn’t want to give spoilers and it was about a dad trying to find his daughter. So go see it especially if you are on the fence about it!

How to Transform Your Non-Reader Into a Reader: Guest Post By Fiona Ingram

As all parents know, books, reading, and comprehension skills are paramount in the development of their child’s learning abilities and imagination, and indeed in life learning and understanding of the world. But you know all that … so, how does one change a non-reader into an avid reader? Don't leave it up to school and the teachers. Kids spend more time at home than in school (believe it or not), so don’t lay the burden of your child’s literacy on the school. Literacy is so important that it is every parent’s duty to make sure their child reads and (hopefully) enjoys it.
What many parents don’t realize is that although a child can learn to read, enjoymentof reading is not automatic; it is learned by association. When a parent reads with a child, that feeling of togetherness, that special time, creates in the child a sense of enjoyment that they then associate with reading, and thus as they grow up, reading is associated with pleasure.

There may be several reasons why your child isn’t keen on reading. If you’ve ruled out physiological problems with eyes and attention span, then it could just be that your child perceives books as ‘boring’ and reading a chore. How do you change this?

• Capture the imagination of your child.You’ve seen how a child will sit for hours working out a game or puzzle that intrigues them. Excitement and interest are the keys to getting your child into those bookshelves. Take a look at what makes them light up, what makes them talk excitedly. You want to hold their attention, sustain their interest, and create a hunger for more and more books!

• Children follow by exampleso if you’re a reader, now make a point of your child seeing you read—except read (with avid interest) something you’d like them to read. Don’t put the television on as a matter of course. Rather sit with a book so they become curious as to what could possibly keep you so occupied. It’ll be natural for them to want to see (read) what has kept you so captivated. You can fuel this by exclaiming how much you can’t wait to continue the book if you have to interrupt with dinner or other commitments.

• Choose topics your child is interested in, even if it’s Miley Cyrus’ biography. Textbooks or school reading books may not be the spark to ignite your child’s imagination. Your child may also not be interested in the classics you loved as a child. It doesn’t matter what they read, as long as they read. Age appropriate magazines (get a subscription addressed directly to your child) are also suitable. Collectibles such as ‘part series’ (science, the planets, animals, music/pop stars) are also very good and keep the child’s interest ongoing.

• Invite your child to read with you.“I think you’ll like this!” is a wonderful inducement to make the child feel special—something he or she can share with a parent makes the child feel important. Together you can enjoy the marvelous world contained within those pages. Your child will find your enthusiasm infectious. (You could even let them ‘help’ you with one or two words you might be ‘struggling’ with.)

• Be innovative. For example, reading to each other or acting out the various characters’ parts will make it fun (children love acting), and if another parent or enthusiastic family members are the audience, the ‘cast’ must work hard to entertain. You could spend some time beforehand polishing your skills together, reading alternate paragraphs, or picking particular characters. This is a great moment to show off your Repertoire of Funny Voices as well. Make it more memorable by having a special dinner and getting your child to write out ‘invitations’ to the rest of the family.
Audio books are a wonderful way of helping your child concentrate and develop listening skills while you’re driving. After a few minutes, stop the tape and ask your child questions about what they just heard. Make it interesting by asking what they think will happen next, or what they would do in a certain situation. This will help your child engage in the literary process in a fun way.Shared laughter is an incredibly bonding and uplifting experience. By now your child should start seeing reading as a fun experience. Later, they will develop their own tastes and read on their own.

Fiona Ingram is a children’s author, but up until a few years ago, she was a journalist and editor. Something rather unexpected sparked her new career as an author—a family trip to Egypt with her mother and two young nephews. How Not To Treat A Fitting Room Person

Don't do these things at the fitting room...
One of the areas I work in from time to time is the fitting room, and here are some of the thing you should not do at them:● Don’t yell at the phone operator if another person in the department we transfer you to doesn’t pick up. We don’t control them not picking up. We don’t have any control over the schedule. They are most likely in another department since managers run then around like crazy. ● Don’t give me flack over the item limit. I don’t make the rules, and we have to enforce it for security reasons. ● We don’t have a directory of every item our store carries, and since we are the fitting room we don’t know what every department carries. Let us transfer you. ● Don’t ask for directions to our store since it’s called google, and the internet is your best friend. ● Wait patiently for a manager since they are busy running other departments. They will get to you just not right away.● If they don’t pick up right away hanging up then calling back isn’t going to help at all. Neither is being rude and accusing us of hanging up on you. We need to put you on hold. Don’t lie and say you got disconnected either since we know the truth. You got impatient and hung up. ● Don’t leave your clothes crumpled in the dressing room. Place it in the cart instead because it’s nice to do for the person after you, and I hate cleaning up after adults…● Clean up after yourself. Never use the fitting room as a bathroom, and please don’t think it’s a good place to have sex in…● Don’t leave bras on the floor, and put them on their pegs instead of leaving them for people to step on. ● Don’t be rude to the operator period since they are humans who need a job. Nothing wrong with that since people need to make money. ● Don’t ask me what I think of your outfit since I really don’t care. ● If we are helping you locate an item, be patient, and don’t hang up because when we are shorthanded we have to walk to the area which takes time. Don’t accuse us of hanging up since we aren’t near the phone. ● Okay, you don’t want an item leave it in the basket or on the place they have for it. ● Don’t get mad at us because you want to check out at the fitting room when it doesn’t have a register. ● Don’t get mad at us when the item you are price checking is different then you saw it on the shelf. We don’t control the prices…● Never try on undies especially the ones in the plastic packages. ● Never try on bathing suits without undies. ● No, I’m not checking your underwear so you can see the size. You put it on this morning you should know…● If you leave clothes and plan to buy them tell us, and don’t get mad if we take them and you didn’t tell us you plan on buying them. ● Please, don’t count out items to me like you think I’m stupid. I’m not a child despite looking like one. Don’t be rude to me like that.
Never ball up clothes and leave them on the seat either. Or on one of the pegs inside out. For the love of god clean up after yourself. And if there is no fitting room person no need to tell a retail person just go in your not 12. 

These are just some of the things I have issues with while working there, and don't do them at the fitting room. he fitting room also answers the phone too so just remember everyone is human. Also getting an attitude doesn't help since people do that daily to people behind the counter. Just be nice and clean up after yourself.
