A Cooking Post: Cheese Crackers

I found this recipe over at Brit & Co., and I had to try it right away. It helped that I had a block of cheddar cheese in the frig. Brit’s post has three flavors, but I had only cheddar, so that’s all I made.

Brit also used cookie cutters to make cute shapes (did she have tiny little cookie cutters? I can’t tell from her pictures), but I just went with a knife and simple rectangles/squares. Mine are more or less the same size as Cheeze-its. Also, I think mine are too thick. I can never measure...

A Bit of Midnight Musing

Time for a little philosophical rambling.

I was feeling down last night. In general, I’m quite content with my life and the people in it. It wasn’t anything like that bothering me. It was more a general malaise, a sort of disturbance at the state of the world. Of how people treat each other. There is so much acrimony going on, especially here in America.

All human bei...

Correction to Last Post

This comes from never using my own contact form. I told everyone to attach a jpeg of their bookcover, but you can’t attach anything with that form. Sorry! I’ll contact you about getting the jpeg.

A Meme on Reading

I picked up this meme from Book View Cafe. I’ll post my answers here. If you want to play, go ahead and post on your blog or leave a comment with your answers. If you post on your blog, let me know in the comments that you did it!

• What are you currently reading?

Firebird by Jack McDevitt. This is not quite true, since I’m not reading it at this time. Let’s say I’m reading it, but taking a break. This is because it’s on my husband’s Kindle, so if I want to read it, I have to wait until he’s re...

Our Little Acorn: Picture Communication for Pagan Kids

I thought I’d pass this along, in case there are any artists among my readers (or if you know one) who might be interested in this project. The need is for someone who can do Picture Communication Symbols (PCS).

From CSA to HMO | Rodale Institute

This is a great idea. We need to get more health insurance companies to participate. I’m going to figure out how to send this to Kaiser.

The Fairies of Donamorgh

A few people have asked me about the fairies in Moon Over Donamorgh. They aren’t your normal Disney fairies at all, but they also don’t fit into the usual Seelie or Unseelie lexicon. If you haven’t read Moon Over Donamorgh yet (why haven’t you? Go buy it, now!), here’s how Bashen is described when Seamus first meets him:

(Seamus) never saw movement, but he suddenly knew that he wasn’t alone, that someone waited next to him with amused patience. Seamus turned his head to the side and then down,...
