More Fun with a Paper Bag I’ve Never Had
It was a wet 4th of July morning but spirits were not dampened in the least.

Chautauqua: Coming Up Against Myself
Some of the principles behind Chautauqua.

But now that I travel solo this idiosyncrasy could be a little more serious. I have had to face this foible and find ways to overcome it.
Done. Over the past few years, I have addressed this and other practical travel issues.

Falling in Love with Dr. Frank
Rkatsiteli, one of the world’s oldest grape varieties.
While traveling in the Finger Lakes, I fell in love with a doctor.
Well, more specifically, I fell in love with the wines that bear his name. The good doctor is actually no longer among us. Luckily, his children and grandchildren have carried on the family business.
Dr. Konstantin Frank came to the United States from the Ukraine in the early 50s. Armed with a PhD in viticulture, he set about revolutionizing grape growing in the Finger Lakes....

Best Accommodation for Solo travelers
Couchsurfing doesn’t mean that you have to stay on a couch. Sometimes you get your own room.

Fortunately, there are a few alternatives that will keep your cost of accommodation down. I’ve written about them in many places. Here is a short list with links to articles that give you more detail.
