Money, Solo Travel and Happiness: how to shake it.
My stay at Anand Prakash ashram was an experience that I will never forget (and one I’d like to repeat.)
Money.
The loud sort, the coins, don’t seem to cut it these days.
After all, how far can you go on loonie, toonie, euro and pound coins? And in the US: dimes, nickels and quarters? And the bills, well, they’re as hard to come by as ever.

Road Trip: the backroads of Emilia Romagna, Italy
Countryside of Emilia Romagna
Bologna is a wonderful city to visit.
It’s also a city from which to visit the surrounding area.
It sits in the heart of Emilia Romagna, on the Via Emilia, the ancient road used during Roman times to travel from Rome to the north. There are towns every 30 km along the Via Emilia. The spacing of the towns was determined by the distance that Roman soldiers were expected to walk in a day.
