You Tube!

So it’s been a while. I thought I would check in. For those of you who like You Tube, I had a fan create a movie trailer for my book. What’s crazy is this fan had over a million hits on her Breaking Dawn trailer. She recently posted a Hunger Games trailer that is also doing well. If you interested in seeing her idea of a movie trailer of my book, the link is

I love the spin the bottle scene. She found a scene with a girl who could be Maggie. I really also loved the end where the couple ended up almost looking like my book cover. Very creative. I love the guys she chose too, particularly Sebastian. Anyway, check it out.

Also, I like to thank BookWhisper for posting a review of my book on her blog! Thanks.

A Good Book and Music

I saw this thread http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/7... on Goodreads and it got me to thinking.

If I had to choose a song for Mercy (Beg for Mercy) what would it be? I couldn’t think of just one. But I thought of a few songs based on the lyrics and emotions they invoked in me. Of course it's past midnight, who knows how I'll feel in the morning. Don’t use the associated music videos as basis for my choices, because I didn’t. Just the some of the words.

I can’t explain my choices, but they feel right.

Mercy and Flynn - “Clocks” by Coldplay.
Mercy and Luke – “Here with Me” by Dido
Mercy and Paul – “With or Without You” by U2
Mercy and Sebastian – “Hurricane” by Thirty Seconds to Mars

Check out the thread and add you choice for a song for your favorite book!

Much needed Updates!!!

So my past editors are in the wind and a new editor dawning on the horizon. Sometimes you need to take actions in your own hands.

I want to thank everyone for their feedback for my debut novel, Beg for Mercy. I want to let everyone know much needed updated were made to the book including bonus excerpt material. For those that already own the book on Nook and Kindle. You should be able to refresh your book without repurchase to get the updated version.

For Nook lovers, I simply deleted the book and re-downloaded it. For Kindle, I actually contacted customer support and they sent me the updated version at no charge. I don’t have a Kindle so I am not sure if you can just delete it and re-download like the Nook. Give it a try.

Enjoy the updated book for the first time or enjoy the bonus content if you don’t already have it.

Happy Reading!

Reviews Ramblings.....

I’m the curious sort. Browsing the Goodreads site, I’m always on the look out for something good to read. When I come upon a possible book, I check out the reviews and comments. I’ve noticed a growing trend of authors responding (good and bad) directly to reviews by their readers using the comment section under the review.

What I’m wondering is what you as the reader feel about that?

I think if I wrote a stellar review for an author I really like, I might be thrilled that the author commented on my review letting me know they appreciate it and read it.

But what if I wrote a bad review? Even if the author thanked me, would I want that? I don’t know. I might just feel really bad. And I can’t have it both ways.

My next question is the reviews, who are they for? Do you write reviews for potential readers, the author, or both????

I’m just curious what etiquette is appropriate for authors when it comes to their reviews. Should the author thank the reviewer or not? Certainly all feedback I receive is appreciated. But I think the answers I seek can only come from all the readers out there.

And the winner is.....

And the winner is……

Bookmouse

She won the “Name a Character in my next installment of the Cambion series” contest. Her name was randomly selected from a pool of correct responses of the trivia questions. The name she’d given for an upcoming character in my series was Rune. Oh, this name was really exciting. There were other great suggested names.

Thanks everybody for participating.

Happy Reading!!!!

A day of Remembrance

I’m so happy football is back! I’m not a crazy fan but I do enjoy the game. While writing towards my deadline this past Sunday, I had the games on the in the background. Are you ready for some football!

On a serious note, I'd be remise if not to mention the tenth anniversary of one of the worst tragedies in our countries history. If not for the men in women in uniform putting their lives on the line to protect our freedoms, where would we be? So I’d like to send a thank you. It certainly isn’t enough for all that they do.

On that same note, I’d also like to thank the other heroes of our great land. Those that teach, serve, and protect all of us. Teachers, Men and Women of Law Enforcement, Firefighters, and EMTs. All of these people are paid far less than they are worth to the future of our country. So thank you!

One personal sadness for me, an actor that I enjoyed watching in the series Spartacus, one that I went on to watch him in Gabriel after becoming a fan of his died on Sunday. Andy Whitfield, born in Wales but a resident of Sydney, Australia, died of non-Hodgkins lymphoma at age 39, leaving behind a wife and two kids. He will be sadly missed. His greatness in the arena of acting was abounding when he was taken from us. I wish him and his family peace and comfort in this tragic time.

It is these reminders that we all should remember ‘We aren’t promised tomorrow, so it’s important what we do today.’

You can find me on Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter Now

Check out my Facebook page to find pictures I posted of models that closely resemble what I had in mind for some of the characters in Beg for Mercy. These aren't exact renditions, but I thought for fun I post the pictures to see what you guys thought. I am not 100% on the picture of Sebastian. But I found the picture eerily creepy enough I had to post.

Let me know if you like the pictures or had better suggestions.
