Waiting for Mercy to be Released this Week!
I'm excited that Waiting for Mercy will be released this week on Amazon. Writing this book was harder than the first. With readers' expectations and hopes, I tried really hard to stick to my original plan with the storyline and I hope you guys like it.
I appreciated all the feedback from the first book and will look forward to hearing what you think about the second.
Additionally, my expectation is to release a chapter from Waiting for Mercy told from Flynn’s perspective, YAY! It’s written, I just need to tweak a few things. More information to come.
My next big release will be my new series, Remember. This book is also written but still needs to go to my editor. So I will keep you guys posted here, my website, facebook and twitter when the exact release date will be.
I've been a busy bee and I will be releasing a novella told from Flynn and Luke’s perspective before the release of Remember. This story will give you a little more insight into the boys.
In the meanwhile, I hope you enjoy Waiting for Mercy.

ePiracy
What is there to say? I wrote a book, which for me is an accomplishment in itself. Not everyone is going to love it. But I do. I took a lot of time and put a lot of thought into writing each word on each page.
I’ve been fighting a battle with my book being posted on the web for a while now. But today, a Goodread’s friend notified me of another website that has my book posted for free. My book sells for 99 cents. I get about 35 cents for each copy sold. I’m never going to be a millionaire, but it bothers me that some people feel the need to post my work for others to read without my permission. Obviously, I’m not the only author that this is happening to. So these are just my thoughts on the matter.
I get e-mails and posts through my website for copies of the book. And I believe I’m very generous in giving. So why is my kindness repaid with ePiracy?
This site today shows that my book was downloaded 101 times. I should be flattered. But I’m not. Having no control over what is being downloaded, I have no idea if that is an early version with several mistakes that have since been changed because I'm not going to download for fear of viruses. I found another over a half a dozen sites with epub and .pdf copies of my book today as well.
It’s very discouraging and I understand now why Stephanie Meyers didn’t finish Midnight Sun and just posted the unfinished work on her website. So now I will ponder what to do next.

And the Winner is.....
Sorry guys that it has taken me this long. I’ve been feverishly working to finish Waiting for Mercy.
Looking through the contest pages entries including those I received outside of Goodreads, I found some common themes.
Zac Efron, Alex Pettyfer, Chase Crawford, Charlie Hunnam and Ian Somerhalder were all mentioned several times, lol
With so many great pictures it was hard to choose just one.
Where should I start with Flynn? Besides his loveliness, I would say his hair, that faux Mohawk of his. When writing Beg for Mercy, I probably envisioned something on the lines of
But I must say this picture is also perfect and I could total see Flynn rocking his hair like this.
As far as his face, I have to agree with the Zac Efron. He certainly has the look and the hair isn’t a bad match either.
But I also want to mention one other picture which to me gives life to the attitude Flynn carries around. Charlie Hunnam seems to have that “I’m too sexy look on his face”.
Sandra posted a link for Thomas Dekkar. I must say he has been on my radar since he played John Conner in “Terminator” the tv series.

Luke, like Flynn has very distinctive hair. After writing Beg for Mercy and coming across a “you tube link” for a cast listing for my book I thought Alex Pettyfer was perfect in looks to fill that spot in my head.
However, when I saw Charlie Hunnam, I think I became a convert.
This picture I think picture captures Luke’s nature.
Chad Michael Murray could definitely be in the running for Luke.
Paul. Even I have to admit, it’s really hard to pin him down.
The baseball cap he always sporting.
His every day boy next door looks.
Or Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Hayden Christian isn’t a bad choice either
Then there is Sebastian.
Chase Crawford was cast a lot for multiple characters and I can see why. But if I had to choose the best fit for him, I think Sebastian is the spot.
Ian Somerhalder. He would makes a convincing Sebastian.
I must admit Ed Westwick really pulls off that look “just this side of danger”.
James Franco, I think also fits the bill.
And a picture that just grabbed me was this one. I could totally see Sebastian with longer hair.
Danielle had a pick for Sebastian that certainly got the demon element for sure check this link.

With all the great entries, I went through Rafflecopter to randomly choose a winner.

Almost Done!
I am finishing up with Waiting for Mercy. It's been a journey that's for sure. I have a few more details to add, then a re-read, off to the editor. The book will be out before I know it.
No rest for the weary. I will be onto finishing re-read edits on Remember. Charlize is such a different character than Mercy. I hope you guys will like her and her story. No love hexagon, lol!
But on to better things, today is the last day to enter the contest for the ARCs of WFM and the short story with Flynn/Luke. So if you are interested, post a picture of one or all of the guys from Beg for Mercy. I will announce the winner by this weekend. I did have some entries posted through my website and/or facebook, I need to include. Anyway, here is the link for all you new readers of Beg for Mercy.

Dismayed, Dishearten, and Discouraged
Beg for Mercy just had a face lift with a new cover. The plan was for the book to launch this week with the new cover design. A preview is on my facebook page. A proof was sent to me and I opened it today excited to see the new cover in book form.
To my utter surprise and dismay, the cover on the book I received was not my own. In fact the cover was an eye opener about things one can do with their partner on an intimate level. I’ll leave it at that. I laughed because I didn’t want to cry. I can only hope that my book was not mailed to anyone who has purchased it with that cover on it. I can't imagine a parent ordering the book for their teenager with that cover on it. Likewise although the title may be fitting, I hope my cover didn’t go out on this other author’s fully illustrated book, at least that what the book jacket suggest.
I’m really not sure what to say other than I thought it best to document this travesty. The distributor of the book is looking into the problem and hopefully no one else has received a book with the wrong cover. My family however is having fits of laughter at my expense. I guess if I posted the erroneous book cover, you might too!

What do you all think? And a Contest too!
Based on the reviews, I know a bunch of you all really like Flynn. I’m curious to see who you would cast for Flynn if this book were a movie.
To entice you, for those that post their picture of their likeness of Flynn or any of the boys (including Luke, Paul, Sebastian), I will randomly select a winner for an ARC of the Flynn & Luke short story and an ARC of Waiting for Mercy before either is published.
You can post here on Goodreads, my Facebook page or through my Website.
I’ll leave this contest open until the end of January. I’m looking forward to see what you all think!

Things that are happening around Goodreads!
Lots of things are happening and I grateful for every one of them.
I just thought I would mention to everyone that my book Beg for Mercy is one of the BOMs for the Goodreads Group Fantasy and YA Addicted Book Club .
Feel free to post your reviews of the book
http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/7...
Also there is a debate about who you would choose Flynn or Luke. (Don’t forget about Sebastian and Paul)
http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/7...
So far it’s close to a tie.
Also I am the RAGR Author of the Month at the Goodreads Group Fantasy and Vampire Book Club .
They have a question section. So if there were any questions that weren’t answered for you in my book you wanted to ask, post your questions there. Who knows, I may just give away some spoilers.

I’m still working hard towards finishing Waiting for Mercy. I also even started a short story on Flynn/Luke.
Thanks to all my followers on Twitter. If you’re interested in what I’m doing, check me out there. Sometimes I let loose some secrets. @shannondermott
