Dismayed, Dishearten, and Discouraged
Beg for Mercy just had a face lift with a new cover. The plan was for the book to launch this week with the new cover design. A preview is on my facebook page. A proof was sent to me and I opened it today excited to see the new cover in book form.
To my utter surprise and dismay, the cover on the book I received was not my own. In fact the cover was an eye opener about things one can do with their partner on an intimate level. I’ll leave it at that. I laughed because I didn’t want to cry. I can only hope that my book was not mailed to anyone who has purchased it with that cover on it. I can't imagine a parent ordering the book for their teenager with that cover on it. Likewise although the title may be fitting, I hope my cover didn’t go out on this other author’s fully illustrated book, at least that what the book jacket suggest.
I’m really not sure what to say other than I thought it best to document this travesty. The distributor of the book is looking into the problem and hopefully no one else has received a book with the wrong cover. My family however is having fits of laughter at my expense. I guess if I posted the erroneous book cover, you might too!

Oh Wow Shannon, when you called them what did they say about this.
The guy was too busy laughing as I told him the title of the book and the author's name. The author's name must be a pen name as it is pretty interesting in itself. He could barely help me as he chuckled trying to contain himself from laughing outright. He did say I sounded awfully calm about it! Yes, this limited edition will go down in history at my house.

I have to say that I laughed at first but now that I think about it... It's really annoying for you. I hope it will go back in order soon.
Oh no! That's unfortunate. Since you received the proof, that means that the copies of the books haven't been printed yet, right?Hopefully things will get sorted out quickly! That way in the future you can look back on this and REALLY be able to laugh about it. Haha.
I'm really hoping no other copies have been printed. And belive me, the easiest thing to do is laugh. So I did, after my initial horror of it all. Thanks! =]
