Psalms 62…He is My Rock
I have found no better refuge and no better foundation to build my life on than that of my Lord. He never steers me wrong. His guidance is always 100% accurate. His love for me is unwavering. I have seen His perfection and it is not just myth – it is reality. There is no better coach, mentor and friend. There is no better family member. No matter what I do and no matter what thanks I have to offer, I will never be able to do enough and give enough thanks for the gifts, strength, and abundance that I receive from Him daily.

Missed Opportunities…
I enjoyed creating today’s meme! I also appreciate the work ethic example that Thomas Edison provided to mankind. He certainly wasn’t afraid of work and he wasn’t afraid of failing! The ability to work is such a gift! Lessons learned from failure are also gifts! I hope as we head into the weekend that you and I will reflect on this last week and all of the gifts that were provided to us through our experiences and the strength that was lent to us by the Lord! Have a Great Weekend!

Dare to Move Mountains!!!
I am often guilty of looking at a project that is mine to accomplish or create and becoming overwhelmed. At my age, I have been a part of a lot of projects! Being that I am no newcomer to the concept of projects, you might think that I should be used to the whole concept. What I have found, however, is that each project is not just a project; it is a growth experience. Growth always means something new or enlarging my skill set. The last several years it has meant learning to utilize new technologies! Is there anyone out there who finds keeping up with all of the new social media and technologies a piece of cake? If so, I am in awe of you! For me, it seems I just get the hang of something and then it changes or there’s something additional I need to learn! I remember when I was first married, just learning to cook and manage a home was a HUGE challenge for me. Now, as I work to learn new things, cooking and homemaking are my comfort zone. Life would be so easy if that’s all I had to do! What I have learned is that the new end of an experience is never easy and was never meant to be. And, if I just attack a project by determining what the end result needs to be and break it into the steps that need to be accomplished, it all becomes manageable. Very few things can be accomplished overnight or in one giant leap. But mountains can be moved a rock at a time!

Never Be Afraid…
Corrie Ten Boom is one of my heroes. I remember reading her book, The Hiding Place, when I was somewhere around 12 years old. Even at that young age, I recognized the incredible strength that Corrie, her sister, and others exercised in their efforts to hide and protect their Jewish friends. Corrie and those who worked with her were mortal Saviors. She was a very special person and I believe that she was able to do the amazing things she did and continue to have the special attitude that she had throughout her life because she knew in whom she could trust. I don’t know what experiences Corrie had prior to her efforts to hide Jews from the Nazis but I feel confident that her experiences had taught her that God could be trusted to guide her no matter what the situation was. Having seen God during my near death experience, I know of His perfection and I too know that we can trust Him to guide us. Before my near death experience, I often had a difficult time imagining how God could direct my life when I knew He had so many other lives that He was a part of. I also struggled in my confidence to trust that He could or would do a better job of managing my life than I was capable of on my own. However, in heaven, I saw clearly His perfect abilities. I know now that when I entrust my life to God, He will walk beside me and help me create a life far more superior and filled with greater joy, satisfaction and meaning. He will take my little agate self and transform me into a diamond. The good news is that all that He is able to do for me, He is able to do for you and for all mankind! Our Divine Father is no respecter of persons. He loves each of His children perfectly – He stands at all times ever ready to assist and guide us!

Friends…
The weekend is coming and when I think of weekends, I always think of gathering with family and friends! As I mentioned in an earlier post this week, I love Abraham Lincoln! I love how he was such an example of addressing adversity in positive ways. Sometimes relationships struggle; most often those relationships are with family, friends or associates. There are many ways to heal those relationships. Where abuse is present, the story changes and we won’t deal with that today. However, when we are only dealing with personality conflicts and such there are multiple strategies that can be used. Exercising patience, compassion and love are always positive moves. I have found that utilizing prayer and God’s guidance are key to finding the right strategy and finding the answers I need! If you are having relationship issues, I hope and pray that you will reach out to God and make the effort bring greater love and peace into your life!

Attitude Determines How High You Fly!!!
Attitude has a powerful influence on what we do and who we become. It plays hand in hand with our belief system. If you want to succeed – you must have the attitude of a winner. If you want to fail, all you have to do is have the attitude of a loser. We are not born with our attitudes; but we do come to earth with inherent personalities. In heaven, before we were born, we all believed in our ability to succeed; that is why we agreed to be born into this world. Attitudes can be learned and they can be practiced. It may not be an overnight process, but it can be a successful process if we want it to be bad enough. What attitude do you want to have? What success are you meant to manifest? What “Altitude” do you want to climb to? It’s all within your reach and God is standing by to help you! #Attitude, #Zig Ziglar, #Personal potential, #personal growth

Do You Have Gratitude?!!
Did you wake up in pain today? Perhaps your day started out on the wrong side of the bed? Sorry to hear about that – but now it’s time to smile and move on! Pain can be overcome; be thankful that your body is well enough to send a signal to you that something is wrong! I would love to be able to interview Abraham Lincoln! In spite of the incredible difficulties he had to face throughout his life, he selflessly moved forward with the work he felt compelled to do . His life is an inspiration to me. I wonder if he thought about being an inspiring example to a woman of the future while he dwelt on the issues of the civil war? I doubt he ever thought about me and you specifically; but I am sure that rather than dwelling on his personal miseries, he made the future of this nation his highest priority. I understand the term difficult. I also understand pain – having spent 15 years of my life with 24/7 migraines. Had it been my decision to wait until someone else found a magic pill or to feel sorry for myself while expecting others to solve my problems, I would still be suffering from migraine headaches or be dead. The truth is that I had to be my own major resource. My husband and family love me dearly but they didn’t grasp the pain I was in and they were not motivated to find answers for me. I ‘m not looking for sympathy here, just know that reading piles of books and searching the internet and making phone calls are about the last thing that I “felt” like doing during that time of my life. I now look back on that time of my life and I am so very grateful for it! Do I want to repeat that experience? NO! However, I learned from that experience that sometimes perspective must be changed in order to find solutions. I learned that to truly heal, alternative medicine is leaps and bounds ahead of allopathic medicine (MD’s)! I have learned the truly powerful substances that herbs are and I stand in awe of God’s creations and His obvious desire to provide for our needs through his creations (which are clearly superior to man’s pharmaceuticals). We all have problems and trials and difficulties! We also have blessings and gifts and an almost infinite list of things to be grateful for! So if you are having a bad day, stop, take a deep breath and start counting your blessings!
