To Know Happiness, We Must Focus our Attention on the Right Things!
Have you paid attention to your thoughts? Do you ever think about what you think about? Do you focus your attention on things that you have no control over? Do you talk trash to yourself? We all have unconscious thoughts that we need to be aware of. Those thoughts have a very powerful effect on our actions and our lives. We can steer our thoughts just like we can a car. First, however, we have to know what we are steering! God has given us the personal power to choose our thoughts and our actions. Although thoughts can be a little more tricky than choosing our actions – it is totally possible to get a handle on the process! Over the next week, pay attention to those quiet hidden thoughts that you have. I would encourage you to write them down. Beware that you might be surprised by some of those thoughts that are lurking in the background. Therefore, be sure that you don’t judge yourself based on those thoughts! Instead, be ready to identify those thoughts, get rid of the crummy ones, and replace them with positive self talk! Don’t expect to be a pro at redirecting your thoughts immediately! Keep practicing and paying attention and soon you will be great at keeping the kind of thoughts that will be positive and productive circulating in that amazing mind of yours!

Until a Person Can Say I Am What I Am Today Because of My Choices Yesterday…
We are all the result of our choices! Where are you today? What kind of choices have you made? Are you happy with those choices? I hope that you are. However, if you are less than pleased with your choices and/or you would like to make changes in your life, take some time to do some honest and sincere introspection. Once you give your life and your previous choices some time and attention, you will be in a position to understand the changes that you need to make. Undoubtedly, you will need to make some changes (we all do). True change is made most effectively with the Lord’s assistance! May all of your current and future choices bring you joy, peace, and happiness!

Every Time You Smile at Someone, It is an Action of Love!
There are lives that have been profoundly changed by a simple smile. Perhaps, today, it will be your smile that changes someone’s life! Even if it only helps to brighten someone’s day, I hope you will share your smile with everyone you meet today!

Be a Mother Who is Committed to Loving Her Children into Standing on Higher Ground…
I have come to believe in the power and influence of mothers. What we teach (or don’t teach) our children determines the welfare of our nation and of our world. Holding a child who needs comforted, protecting a young child from dangerous actions, changing dirty diapers; being there through thick and thin communicates more to the development of that child than any mortal can fully comprehend. In that light, I want to share an article written by Erma Bombeck about mothers that I truly love. I hope all of the mothers (biological and otherwise) out there have a wonderful day!
“When God Created Mothers”
When the Good Lord was creating mothers, He was into His sixth day of “overtime” when the angel appeared and said. “You’re doing a lot of fiddling around on this one.”
And God said, “Have you read the specs on this order?” She has to be completely washable, but not plastic. Have 180 moveable parts…all replaceable. Run on black coffee and leftovers. Have a lap that disappears when she stands up. A kiss that can cure anything from a broken leg to a disappointed love affair. And six pairs of hands.”
The angel shook her head slowly and said. “Six pairs of hands…. no way.”
It’s not the hands that are causing me problems,” God remarked, “it’s the three pairs of eyes that mothers have to have.”
That’s on the standard model?” asked the angel. God nodded.
One pair that sees through closed doors when she asks, ‘What are you kids doing in there?’ when she already knows. Another here in the back of her head that sees what she shouldn’t but what she has to know, and of course the ones here in front that can look at a child when he goofs up and say. ‘I understand and I love you’ without so much as uttering a word.”
God,” said the angel touching his sleeve gently, “Get some rest tomorrow….”
I can’t,” said God, “I’m so close to creating something so close to myself. Already I have one who heals herself when she is sick…can feed a family of six on one pound of hamburger…and can get a nine year old to stand under a shower.”
The angel circled the model of a mother very slowly. “It’s too soft,” she sighed.
But tough!” said God excitedly. “You can imagine what this mother can do or endure.”
Can it think?”
Not only can it think, but it can reason and compromise,” said the Creator.
Finally, the angel bent over and ran her finger across the cheek.
There’s a leak,” she pronounced. “I told You that You were trying to put too much into this model.”
It’s not a leak,” said the Lord, “It’s a tear.”
What’s it for?”
It’s for joy, sadness, disappointment, pain, loneliness, and pride.”
You are a genius, ” said the angel.
Somberly, God said, “I didn’t put it there.”

I Have Noticed That the Universe Loves Gratitude…
I have found that there is nothing better for improving your mindset and your life than exercising Gratitude! If you are having a hard time finding something to be grateful for – try looking at your life from a different angle. If you are have a difficult time looking at your life from a different angle, turn to the Lord. He can help you do it! If it doesn’t come easy for you, don’t give up! You can do it and you will be the beneficiary of incredible abundance once you get the hang of it!

I Am Realistic – I Expect Miracles
Do you expect miracles? I hope you do! Miracles are all around us and ever so prevalent when we learn to see them! You are a miracle and so am I! Just try to duplicate just one of God’s creations from scratch (without a seed, etc.). Think of your heart – each day is pumps enough blood to fill a 2000 gallon tank car. Think of the scent of a rose and your amazing nose that can smell that rose! Think of a newborn calf that can walk within minutes of birth! Think of a newborn baby and all that it will learn to do and understand within the first year of life! I hope that as we head into the weekend that you are able to look around you and bask in the miracles of your life!

A Single Footstep Does Not Create a Path…
Are you looking to change your life? To do so, you must change how you think! God has given you the ability to control your thoughts! It takes practice and intentional effort but you can do it! Just like a single footstep does not create a path in the sand, a single changed thought does not create a new way of thinking! You can identify thoughts that sabotage your life. Once you identify those thoughts or habitual ways of thinking, you can make a deliberate effort to replace them with thoughts that are positive and life-building! #Thoughts #Mental thoughts #Changeourlife #HenryDavidThoreau #Path #Change
