KILL ME TOMORROW- My #sixsunday this week

Kill Me TomorrowFor one more week, I’m going to visit my Read for a Cure book from Decadent Publishing. For the month of April, all publisher proceeds during this month will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life program.

Next week, I’ll begin posting snippets from DIVINELY RUINED, my newest release out with Entangled Publishing on April 26!

Last week, we left off with her punching him and telling him to get the heck out of her room. Here we are this week!

Here it is:

“Good punch. Some men might hold a grudge—but not me because I heal too fast.”

Indeed he did. A glance at his face revealed features as gorgeous as ever. This sucked for the self-pity party she’d been trying to throw.

She preferred him bloody and not so devilishly striking.

KILL ME TOMORROW- #sixsunday @decadentpub

Kill Me Tomorrow

Since my first ever published works, KILL ME TOMORROW, is the Decadent Publishing Read For a Cure for the month of April, I decided to revisit it this week for Six Sentence Sunday. What’s Read For a Cure, you might ask?

Well, Decadent Publishing donates the publisher proceeds from one book, every month, to Relay for Life. So, by reading the book of the month, you’re helping find a cure for cancer! Good cause, right?

Well, my book KILL ME TOMORROW is a 1NightStand book about enemies finding passion in each other’s arms, and maybe trying to find a way to hold off on their inclination to fight until the sun rises. This scene is from when they both realize what the other is.

Here you go!

“You are the Ice Jinn incapable of feeling anything for another?”

Fury overtook her features, and before he could lift a hand to fight, she stalked toward him and punched him in the nose. With a curse, he stumbled back.

She broke my freaking nose.

“Don’t call me that,” she said, stomping toward the bedroom, “and get out of my room.” She entered and slammed the door behind her, leaving him to stare in astonishment.

Review: MY SUPER SWEET SIXTEENTH CENTURY by Rachel Harris

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of the fabulous author's debut release, MY SUPER SWEET SIXTEENTH CENTURY. Not only is she my agent sister, but she's my publisher sister, too. And man, can the girl write!

At it's heart, MY SUPER SWEET SIXTEENTH CENTURY is about a fifteen year old trying to adjust to the changes in her life, and being scared to trust anyone after he mother left her and her father. Her father is a rich directer in Hollywood, and her future stepmother wants to throw her a huge party, like on MTV. Cat, being the type of girl who doesn't want any attention on her–especially on TV!–balks at the idea, but gives in after her father takes her to her favorite historical place on the earth–Florence, Italy.

Cat is a huge fan of art, being an artist herself, and goes off on a tour of Italy alone–and runs into a gypsy of all things! I won't tell you what happens next, but obviously you can tell from the title that she goes back to the sixteenth century. Not only does she make some awesome friends–and meets a super hottie, Lorenzo–but she also gets to learn a lot of hard lessons about life that change her outlook completely.

It's filled with plenty of laugh-out loud moments–her inner thoughts and Rachel's voice are extremely amusing–and it will have you cheering for Cat all the way through to the end. And it will have you begging for more.

But don't take my word for it, pre-order it now! http://www.amazon.com/My-Super-Sweet-Sixteenth-Century/dp/162061135X

5 out of 5 from me!

Cover Reveal: GRETA AND THE GOBLIN KING by Chloe Jacobs!

Today, we have the gorgeous, yummy, beautiful cover of a fellow author over at Entangled Publishing, a fabulous YA book called GRETA AND THE GOBLIN KING, by Chloe Jacobs! Look at it, isn't it simply gorgeous?! The book drops November 13, 2012, so be sure to grab it! Or, better yet, pre-order it at the link below! I know I will be, if for nothing else than that cover!

About the Author:

Chloe Jacobs is a native of nowhere and everywhere, having jumped around to practically every Province of Canada before finally settling in Ontario where she has now been living for a respectable number of years. Her husband and son are the two best people in the entire world, but they also make her wish she'd at least gotten a female cat. No such luck. And although the day job keeps her busy, she carves out as much time as possible to write. Bringing new characters to life and finding out what makes them tick and how badly she can make them suffer is one of her greatest pleasures, almost better than chocolate and fuzzy pink bunny slippers.

Blurb:

While trying to save her brother four years ago, Greta was thrown into the witch's fire herself, falling through a portal to a dangerous world where humans are the enemy, and every ogre, goblin, and ghoul has a dark side that comes out with the full moon.

To survive, seventeen-year-old Greta has hidden her humanity and taken the job of bounty hunter—and she's good at what she does. So good, she's caught the attention of Mylena's young Goblin King, the darkly enticing Isaac, who invades her dreams and undermines her determination to escape.

But Greta's not the only one looking to get out of Mylena. The full moon is mere days away, and an ancient evil knows she's the key to opening the portal. If Greta fails, she and the lost boys of Mylena will die. If she succeeds, no world will be safe from what follows her back…

BROKEN- #sixsunday

I've been having fun letting you get to know my characters from BROKEN, out now from Decadent Publishing. I think we need one last week with them, and then maybe we'll move on.

Matt returns from war broken–in more ways than one. His legs are ruined, possibly never to heal, and he's lost his fiancee. When his squad sets him up with a date through the 1NightStand service, he grudgingly accepts. But he's still worried he'll not be enough for his mystery woman.

When he meets Tiffany, he doesn't even know she's his date. Read below for his initial reaction.

When her green eyes met his, he stopped breathing at her sheer beauty. Once upon a time, he'd have taken advantage of the moment…first a sly smile, followed by an even smarter pick-up line. After a few drinks, he'd have been between her legs.

He'd been whole then. Now, he'd be lucky if he could entice anyone to screw him without the help of Madame Eve's service, let alone someone as stunning as his elevator goddess.

Frowning at the lust raising certain parts of his body, he lowered his attention to his clenched hands, determined not to look at her again.

There it is! I hope you liked it, and make sure to stop by everyone else's sites, as well! Happy Easter, if you celebrate it! :D

Happy Birthday Carrie Blog Hop!

So, it's Carrie Ann Ryan's Birthday, and to celebrate, around 60 of her author and blogger friends are hosting a hop for two days!! Whoot!

Each author is talking about our favorite birthdays or why we love (or hate) them. What does that mean for you as a reader?

Well, each author is giving away a prize at their blog. AND we're giving away TWO grand prizes.

1) A Kindle Touch

2) A $60 Amazon or Barnes & Noble Gift Card

Yep. You can comment on each blog and enter to win! How great is that? So on April 5th the hop begins and you have until 11:59PM on the 6th to participate!

So…my thoughts on birthdays?

Well, my favorite part about birthdays, as unpopular as it might be to say it, is PRESENTS. I love presents. I don't care how big they are, if they cost any money, but I just love the idea that someone out there thought enough of me to pick out something they thought I would like.

And I looooove surprises. I really do. I love not knowing what's inside that wrapping paper so much that I actually hold off opening the present as long as I can without being rude. I love the build-up and the excitement of finding out what I got. My favorite present lately?

Chocolate covered strawberries from Edible Delights from my hubby. Just LOOK at them. ~wipes drool off chin~

So, now that I've babbled on, what is your favorite part about birthdays? And since it's a birthday celebration, if you comment, you get answered for a chance to win one of three e-books of mine: RECLAIMED, KILL ME TOMORROW, or ABSOLUTION. More details are on the Books section of my website.

Check them out, and tell me which one you'd like to get! Prizes will be announced Saturday. And don't forget, every comment counts as an entry for the grand prizes: A Kindle Touch or a $60.00 gift card!
