Rachel Harris' COVER REVEAL for MY SUPER SWEET 16th CENTURY!!
Rachel Harris, one of my fabulous friends from Entangled Publishing, is revealing her cover for her debut release, My Super Sweet 16th Century! Isn't it simply gorgeous?
Blurb:
On the precipice of her sixteenth birthday, the last thing lone wolf Cat Crawford wants is an extravagant gala thrown by her bubbly stepmother and well-meaning father. So even though Cat knows the family's trip to Florence, Italy, is a peace offering, she embraces the magical city and all it offers. But when her curiosity leads her to an unusual gypsy tent, she exits . . . right into Renaissance Firenze.
Thrust into the sixteenth century armed with only a backpack full of contraband future items, Cat joins up with her ancestors, the sweet Alessandra and protective Cipriano, and soon falls for the gorgeous aspiring artist Lorenzo. But when the much-older Niccolo starts sniffing around, Cat realizes that an unwanted birthday party is nothing compared to an unwanted suitor full of creeptastic amore.
Can she find her way back to modern times before her Italian adventure turns into an Italian forever?
Excerpt:
Alessandra jerks back like I just suggested she prance around the square naked or something. "No! I believe I understand your meaning, and Lorenzo is certainly not my suitor. He is like a brother to me—the three of us grew up together."
She resumes walking and I fall in step beside her, understanding there has to be more to the story. And as we near the end of the row, I finally ask, "If you're not into the guy, then what's the problem?"
At that same moment, a rich, deep chuckle hits my ears. My stomach involuntarily clenches and my gaze sharpens on the back of this mysterious Lorenzo.
Alessandra sighs. "That is the problem." She places her hand on my arm and solemnly looks me in the eyes. "You must be careful. Lorenzo is beautiful, and it is not uncommon for a girl to walk away from meeting him with a piece of her heart left behind. But he is just eighteen, and not yet ready for marriage." I roll my eyes and laugh, then realize she's serious. "Yeah, I assure you, there's no danger on my end. I'm not exactly looking for marriage myself." Because that would be crazy-town.
Alessandra wrinkles her nose as if she doesn't believe me, but she removes her hand. We close the distance and Cipriano flashes me an open, honest to goodness, lighthearted smile.
"Lorenzo, this is the cousin I was telling you about."
Slowly the guy turns and I fall head first into the richest chocolate-brown eyes I've ever seen. He blinks and long, luscious lashes feather across his bronzed cheeks. I can feel myself gawking, but I physically can't drag my eyes away. Lorenzo doesn't smirk or act all conceited, either. He simply stares back, his eyes casually skimming over me, causing my skin to warm and break out in a whole body tingle.
Time seems to stop, and the sounds of the market mute. Alessandra was right. This boy is beautiful.
And he's looking at me.

Lisa Burstein's, from Entangled Publishing, PRETTY AMY cover REVEAL!
I have a cover reveal by the FABULOUS Lisa Burstein! She's a friend of mine–and also over at Entangled Publishing! Without further ado, here it is! Isn't it gorgeous?
About the Author:
Lisa Burstein is a tea seller by day and a writer by night. She wrote her first story when she was in second grade. It was a Thanksgiving tale from the point of view of the turkey from freezer to oven to plate. It was scandalous.
She was a lot like Amy when she was in high school.
She is still a lot like Amy.
Blurb:
Amy is fine living in the shadows of beautiful Lila and uber-cool Cassie, because at least she's somewhat beautiful and uber-cool by association. But when their dates stand them up for prom, and the girls take matters into their own hands, earning them a night in jail outfitted in satin, stilettos, and Spanx. Amy discovers even a prom spent in handcuffs might be better than the humiliating rehabilitation techniques now filling up her summer. Worse, with Lila and Cassie parentally banned, Amy feels like she has nothing–like she is nothing.
Navigating unlikely alliances with her new coworker, two very different boys, and possibly even her parents, Amy struggles to decide if it's worth being a best friend when it makes you a public enemy. Bringing readers along on an often hilarious and heartwarming journey, Amy finds that maybe getting a life only happens once you think your life is over.

Excerpt:
What's going on?" "I'll tell you everything. But not until I get you inside. Take me to your place."
She laughed. "Hell, no." Worried or not, he would get nowhere near her apartment ever again. "I told you when I kicked you out you'd never be welcome inside my house again. Nothing has changed. I'm a big girl, I can handle myself." She took a step away and once again he took her by the elbow.
This time, Joseph didn't halt but grabbed her and dragged her behind him. "No, you can't. And if you won't take me to your place, I'll just lead the way. Either way, I'm getting in." He tugged her toward the red-roofed, stucco building Eva lived in, and she tensed.
"Go to hell!" She struggled against his hold, but he didn't even pause. She tried to dig her heels into the cement and yanked her arm but failed to free herself from his grip. "I'll scream."
He leaned toward her, getting in her face. "You wouldn't dare." Without waiting for her reaction, he continued to escort her toward her building.
She opened her mouth, took a deep breath, and yelled, "Help—"
Joseph stopped, eyes wide, he spun her until she rested against the wall of a nearby building. She had time to yelp before he crushed his lips to hers and thrust his tongue inside her mouth.
She pushed against his shoulders, and he groaned, deepening the kiss. She longed to bite his tongue, to kick him in the balls, but damn it, he felt so good. It might have been six weeks since he'd last kissed her, but her body remembered him well—including all the feelings he brought out within her—and wanted more.
She pulled him closer while he slid his palms down her back and cupped her buttocks, hauling her up tight against his erection. She groaned in unison with him. He tore his mouth away and nibbled on her right ear.
"God, Eva, I've missed you so much." Nothing he could have said would have sobered her more. Man, but he had some cojones telling her he missed her! He'd cheated on her, not the other way around. She jerked out of his hold and slapped him hard across the face.

This week, I'm visiting On One Condition, now out with Entangled Publishing. The story is about Johanna, an American who is scared of relationships, and Damon, a viscount in desperate need of a wife. Together, they jump into a clear-cut marriage of convenience…which turns into anything but.
Without futher ado, here's my six. It take place on their second date. Yes, second.
Tugging on her uneven dress, she asked, "Uh, are you okay?"
He nodded briskly, rising to his feet. "I have something to ask you. Don't freak out."
"Okay…"
Never dropping his gaze from hers, he lowered himself to one knee. "Johanna, will you marry me?"
And that's where I have to stop! On One Condition is out now with Entangled Publishing!
