BROKEN- #sixsunday

Broken

Last week I introduced you to my crippled war-hero, Matt, and his 1NightStand who charms him, despite his resolve to get what he came for and go.

Again, this week's Six Sunday Snippet comes from BROKEN, out now from Decadent Publishing. This story holds a very dear place in my heart, and I adore it. The hero, Matt, is truly a hero, and crippled from fighting in war. Though he feels he is less than whole with his legs useless, he longs for someone who can look past his wheelchair–and see the man inside of it for what he is.

A man with needs and who longs for love. Enter Tiffany, and the famous 1NightStand company. This is when he discovers she's his date for the night–after he has already insulted her and told her to go away.

Enjoy!

"Look, lady, I might not be able to stalk away from you, but I'll run over your fucking feet if you don't move right now," Matt growled.

"You have a lot of fury built up inside you, and I can think of better ways to relive the tension than arguing in the hallway. Why don't we go into our room?"

"I told you—" When he digested her words, he gawked at her. "What do you mean; our room?"

"Oh, didn't I mention I'm your date?" Tiffany asked.

Don't forget to stop by everyone else's sites as well, since tons of fabulous authors participate in this fun game!

This story is near and dear to my heart–one of my favorites ever. It involves a hot, crippled war-hero, and the woman who makes him feel whole again. It's a short one, part of the 1NightStand series–maybe 50 pages–so you can read it fast and quick.

Tell me your favorite part! CONTEST!

I want to have a fun little game where you tell me of a book of mine you read, and then–without spoilers–tell me what your favorite part was! I'm interested to see what kind of answers I get about each book, and if there is a majority of you who like the same parts.

Can be any of my books, or more than one! Everyone who enters gets a chance to win a free book from me–either one of my releases already out, or you can save it for an upcoming release! Your choice.

Each book you name with your favorite part qualifies as an entry, so if you read them all, feel free to use them all. But please enter each book as a separate comment so I can keep track of commenters, and how many entries they get.

Contest ends Monday, April 2nd at noon. Make sure to spread the word–this will be fun!

BROKEN- #sixsunday

Broken

This week's Six Sunday Snippet comes from BROKEN, out 3/30 from Decadent Publishing.

What you see below is from their first meeting in the elevator–right before things heat up. He doesn't realize she is his date for the night, and thinks she is far too gorgeous to want a crippled man in her bed. Boy, was he wrong…

Enjoy!

His voice came out more curt than he'd intended. "No, the Marines."

"Ooh-rah," she murmured. She studied the numbers and clucked her tongue, which left him free to study her profile and marvel at her perfection.

If only he could…there was no point finishing such a futile thought. He couldn't-and wouldn't.

I hope you enjoyed the snippet, and come back next week for more of Matt and Tiffany! Don't forget to check out all the other fabulous Six Sentence entries!

You left me and just come back, expecting to pick up where we left off. Well, I refuse! I moved on."

Winston dropped her wrist and covered his face in his hands. She could hear him mumbling something, but she couldn't make it out. He dropped his hands, capturing her wrist again. "You can't move on. You're bloody married."

She blinked rapidly, the fullness of her situation finally hitting her. She'd never get away from him. Not now. She'd be stuck in a loveless marriage with a man who thought she was a whore. "You were gone. I thought that I could—"

Winston slashed a hand through the air. "Well, you can't! I'm back. I'm not leaving. And you're damn well not leaving…

CONSEQUENCES OF RUINATION: #sixsunday

This week, I bring you another sneak peek at my latest finished project, a Historical Romance tentatively titled CONSEQUENCES OF RUINATION. This novel is almost finished, just needs a few scenes added in for wordage. Below, you see my main characters talking on their wedding night. As you can see, it's quite thrilling.

Enjoy!

"I seek only to please you," Julia whispered, licking her lips.

"In that case…go to the bedroom and prepare yourself for me," he said.

Spinning on her heel, she exited the room in a hurry, as if scared he might give chase. If she only knew how close he was to ravishing her on the piano, she would have bolted minutes ago.

Hell, years ago.

She had no clue what she had gotten herself into, the bloody innocent chit.

Now that you've read my snippet, hop around and check out all the other amazing author's six sentences. I might be sparse today, comment-wise, but I'll read all of my comments later tonight when I come home! I am going to my twin nephew's fifth birthday party!

Happy reading!

St. Patrick's Day Blog Hop!

Hello, and welcome to the St. Patrick's Day Blog Hop!
Today, I am part of the 120 authors offering tons of various prizes, limitless in their diversity and their awesomeness. I'll tell you what I'm giving away soon, but first, let's talk beer.

Usually, I'm a strictly white wine type of girl, but something about the magic of St. Patrick's Day makes me wake immediately thirsty for a beer. Yes, at eight AM. That's what I do differently for the day, in addition to green everything.

What are your favorite traditions?

PRIZES!

Individual prizes from authors vary in size, shape and format. The list includes swag packs, gift cards, ebooks, print books, jewelry, and much more. The prize I'm giving away on my site is either a free copy of KILL ME TOMORROW or RECLAIMED. Find out more about them in the books section of my website. To give you a taste of my writing, here's an excerpt from a recent release of mine that has hit the bestseller list on Barnes and Noble, a sweet and short novella called ON ONE CONDITION. TO ENTER TO WIN A FREE BOOK, AND A CHANCE AT THE GRAND PRIZE, LEAVE A COMMENT TELLING ME WHICH BOOK YOU WOULD LIKE!

EXCERPT:
Valentine's Day, 2011The moment she rolled over, Johanna regretted last night. It wasn't just the bright light stabbing through her window and straight into her eyes. It wasn't even the pounding headache that made her fairly certain she'd drunk the entire contents of the bar last night. Hell, it wasn't even that it was Valentine's Day, the entire reason she and her friends had decided to toast the town with a lot of drinking and less dancing—on her part, anyway.

No, it was the bright green eyes and handsome face looking back at her, and the small smile on pulse-poundingly full lips.

Son of a bitch.

"Oh," Johanna said. "Oh, crap."

"Hey there." British accent. Her weakness. "I'm sorry, but I don't remember your name. I'm—"

Raising a hand, she groaned and sat up, pulling the sheet over her chest. Her hip rubbed against something hard and hot, and coarse body hair. Shoot me. Shoot me now.

"We probably didn't share names," she responded. "Look. I don't usually do this. Let's skip the uncomfortable bullshit and say goodbye."

His lips quirked. "For someone who doesn't do this a lot, you sure have the 'get the hell out of my apartment' speech figured out."

She stared him down. The withering look that could cow every kindergarten student she'd ever taught had zero effect on him. He only stared back at her, raising a brow.

"Please," she said. Mortification made her curt. "Get out."

He chuckled. "You Americans are quite bossy, you know."

She hid her face in her raised knees. "Yep."

"Don't you know who I am?"

She snorted and rolled her eyes. Typical egotistical male. "Didn't we already cover this?"

She heard a chuckle, followed by the rustle of clothing. Peek. No, don't peek. Don't peek at all. She couldn't. She wasn't that kind of woman. She held her breath and kept her head down until she heard the rasp of a zipper.

When she looked up he was standing at her bedside, offering a business card. "If you ever want to—"

"Nope. Keep your card."

He shook his head. "Happy Valentine's Day."

Her fingers clenched against a pillow. Another word out of his mouth, and she'd throw it at his head. "Yeah. Same to you."

Giving her one last lingering look, he left. She held her breath until she heard the front door click shut. She sucked in a whoosh of air and collapsed back on the bed.

Holy shit.

MORE PRIZES!

We also have TWO Grand Prizes for TWO different winners!
