Write Faster and Better!
Hey guys! As I work on finishing up THE BET, I've found myself using a couple of resources that I want to share.
I'm sure most of you have heard about it before, but Write or Die is a a fabulous, FREE website that forces you to keep writing, or you get "punished". writeordie.com also has an offline version, which is what I use, but it costs $10. Price Change!
In less than 20 days, The Bet will go live! I'm very, very excited about this. However, this will also means I'll be making changes.
Starting November 13th, 2011, The Broken will go from $0.99 to $2.99.
At $2.99, I only have to sell about 1 book for every 5 I was selling before to make the same amount of money. Even if my sales rate decreases by 80%, I'll still be making the same amount. However, I'm hoping that people who buy The Bet will enjoy my writing style and go buy The Broken , and vice...

Affliction's Sons as original fic? And a lj tip!
So, I keep considering changing Affliction's Sons (and Boldun) into an original fic. With THE BET, I was working with a VERY old fanfic that I changed dramatically before publishing. In AS's case, I'd only be really changing the fandom related stuff, not the actual storyline, so I feel like if I were to publish it, I should take down the fanfic version. Certainly, if I were publishing with a publisher I'd HAVE to, but as a self-publisher, leaving it up is a possibility. So, I dunno. What do y...

Ethics of Fanfic
So, I've been thinking about fanfic lately. Specifically, I've been thinking about my fanfic and the fact that I have used it to gather an audience that I hope will buy my original fics. And my question is whether it is ethical to use fanfic to market myself... sort-of making money off of my fanfic, which is obviously a major no-no.
