New Name?

So, I have a question for you.

Project X, a backburner book of mine, is actually more of a YA series than an adult series. It is technically in-between, as some of the characters are in their twenties and others are still 18/19. And when marketing, I'd want to market to both audiences since it is in the middle.

My question for you then is, should I publish it under a different name? I wouldn't want some preteen to read Project X and then go buy my other books thinking they'll be similar, only t...

How Crying Over THE HUNGER GAMES Helped Me Write

I'm coming off hiatus. I apologize for my abrupt departure, but I was having major personal and writing issues.

Thankfully, my personal problems have begun to clear themselves up. Only, when I tried to get back to writing THE BET, I found myself trapped by writers block. I couldn't focus on it, couldn't even think about it. And that is because of another story I've been working on.

This story, which I'll call Project X, is the book that made me want to write original fic. It's the book that has...

Hiatus/Book on Hold

Hey guys,

I'm struggling terribly with work and school stress right now, and it's causing major issues with my anxiety and depression. THE BET isn't ready for public consumption, and I'm not in a good place to get it there right now. As of right now, I'm on hiatus, and the book is on hold--possibly until after the holidays.

I'll tell you all more about it when I get back, but right now, I'm in such a bad place that even typing this is zapping what little energy I have.

Talk to you soon!

Amazon

So, my short story "Powerless" finally went free for the Kindle last week. Since then, 2400 people have downloaded it! I'm so excited to have my writing in the hands of so many people!

"Powerless" has also gotten 2 reviews from the free promotion. One person said it was short but good. The other person complained that it was way too short, and that she was upset for the rest of the night because it was so short.

Um, okay? It says in the description that it's only 5,000 words long. And that it's...

Excerpt: The Bet

In honor of thanksgiving, I want to thank you all for your support in my publishing journey. So, I am posting here for your enjoyment, the first five chapters of THE BET (nearly 10,000 words!).

For a covert group of private investigators, Stanton's office was remarkably prominent. Jason crossed the lobby of the Lindsey building, noting the extravagant decorations. Gilded mirrors lined the walls and plush carpeting softened the floor beneath his feet. The Lindsey building was known t...

POWERLESS is free for Kindle!

Hey guys!

POWERLESS is free for the Kindle right now! If you have a Kindle, or the Kindle app, please go download it! The higher I get on the free erotica list, the more people will see my book and download it and hopefully become fans!

Also, thank you to those who helped make POWERLESS free and those who bought POWERLESS before it went free! =)

Plot Bunnies Needed!

So, I'm hard at work... procrastinating on everything I should be doing. lol!

But seriously, I'm struggling with finishing a few key scenes, so I'm hoping to unblock by writing a couple of flash fiction shorts.

Thus, I'm having an open call for plotbunnies! Gimme some image or scene you'd like to see written, and if it sparks my fancy, I'll scribble a few words for it!

Legal Disclaimer: These may eventually be published, after editing, so if you decide to donate a plot bunny, you are giving me p...

Irritated

My mother drives me crazy. I live at home to save money, and she seems to think that because I live at home, I'm still a child.

I have been nagged about going to sleep and doing my school work all week, and it's driving me crazy. Her excuse is that I get grumpy when I don't sleep, and she has to put up with it, and that if she had been around to nag me about the class the first time, I wouldn't have failed it. I fail one class in my entire school career, and I never hear the end of it.

In reali...

Release Date Changing...

Hey Guys,

I'm short on time at the moment, due to finals for my classes. I don't want to release a shoddy book, so I'm moving the release date for THE BET to December 11th.

Sorry! Good things take time, and all that. =)

Mental Health

Mental health is something that people don't talk about, except in terms of jokes or insults. "You're crazy!" can be a gentle jibe or a harsh attack, but it's never just a statement of a fact.

I have mental health issues. I have extremely low self-esteem, near constant clinical depression, social anxiety, and anxiety attacks. There is not a day in my life when I feel normal.

When I try to talk to people about my disorders, they get uncomfortable. Some change the topic. Others say "I'm sorry," a...
