Affliction's Sons as original fic? And a lj tip!

So, I keep considering changing Affliction's Sons (and Boldun) into an original fic. With THE BET, I was working with a VERY old fanfic that I changed dramatically before publishing. In AS's case, I'd only be really changing the fandom related stuff, not the actual storyline, so I feel like if I were to publish it, I should take down the fanfic version. Certainly, if I were publishing with a publisher I'd HAVE to, but as a self-publisher, leaving it up is a possibility. So, I dunno. What do y...
