Dou-lhe 4 estrelas.Gostei da história no geral, principalmente porque não foi uma narrativa parada; houve sempre alguma coisa a acontecer. Contudo, não consegui ultrapassar aquela sensação que me tem acompanhado ao longo dos últimos livros: esta saga já se arrastou por demasiado tempo. Até a própria personagem ‘Sookie’ é-nos por vezes apresentada cansada! De facto, anseio um bocado pelo desfecho desta série. Espero que o próximo volume saia em breve.
REVIEWI just read the 11th volume of Sookie Stackhouse Series on April 24, 2012. I rate it four stars.I enjoyed the story overall, mainly because this wasn’t a still narrative; there was always something happening. However, I could not overcome that feeling that has accompanied me over the last few books: this saga has been dragging on for too long. Even the character ‘Sookie’ sometimes is presented to us feeling tired! In fact, I’m yearning a bit for the outcome of this series.I hope the next book comes out soon.

Que razões te levaram a criá-lo? Queria compartilhar o meu amor pela leitura - e ter uma presença na web que combina comigo e aquilo de que mais gosto.
O que podem os visitantes encontrar no blogue?Maioritariamente críticas de livros, debates, promoções, e outros tópicos relacionados com livros, alguns posts de ensino relacionados com a área.
Que balanço fazes desde que criaste este espaço até hoje? Tem sido muito divertido, às vezes desafiante, adorei tornar-me parte de uma comunidade (outros grandes bloggers lá fora), conhecer outras pessoas que partilham a minha paixão por livros e ensino.
Quais as maiores dificuldades que encontraste enquanto blogger? Às vezes tenho prazos pelos quais tenho realmente que me esforçar; às vezes tenho que tomar decisões difíceis sobre o que quero publicar/ discutir, organização…Qual a maior alegria que o teu blogue te deu?Tornar-me parte de uma comunidade maior.

What reasons led you to create it? Wanted to share my love for reading - and to have a presence on the web that fit me & what I am all about.
What can visitors find in the blog? Most book reviews, discussions, promotions, & other book related topics, some teaching related posts.
How did things go since you created this space until today? So much fun, at times challenging, love becoming part of a community (other great bloggers out there), meeting other people who share my passion of books and teaching.
What were the biggest difficulties you found as a blogger? Sometimes I have timelines that I really have to push myself, sometimes I have to make hard decisions on what I want to post / discuss, organization…
What’s the greatest joy your blog has given you? Becoming part of a larger community.

CRÍTICALi esta novelette de Jackie Williams no dia 13 de maio de 2012. Atribuo-lhe uma classificação de quatro estrelas.Com 14,440 palavras, esta é a estória de uma rapaz maltratado a quem é concedida a falsa dádiva de que tudo pode correr como gostaria. Esta vai ser uma faca de dois gumes.Gostei de Bertram e dos dramas por ele enfrentados. Quantas crianças há por aí vítimas de bullying, negligenciadas pelos pais e humilhadas pelos professores? São realidades que muitas vezes nos passam ao lado e que podem muito bem ser vividas por alguém que vive perto de nós, ou até pertence à nossa família. Agradou-me ver abordada a vertente social.Quanto à parte da magia, primeiro dei por mim a desejar que as duas bruxas que cuidam de Bertram fossem más; depois fiquei com pena do que o destino lhes reservou. A mudar alguma coisa, criaria um romance entre uma das bruxas e o pai biológico do rapaz para lhe dar uma “boa” família.

With 14.440 words, this is the story of an abused boy who is granted the false gift that everything can go just as he would like it to be. This will be a double-edged sword.
I liked Bertram and the dramas faced by him. How many kids are bullied, neglected by their parents, and humiliated by teachers? These are realities that we often fail to spot, and that may be experienced by someone who lives near us, or even belong to our own family. I was pleased to see these social aspects approached.As for the part of the magic, first I found myself wishing that the two witches who took care of Bertram were bad; then I felt sorry for what the fate had in store for them. If I could change something, I’d maybe create a romance between one of the witches and the boy's biological father in order to give him a "good" family.

CRÍTICAAcabei de ler este livro a 18 de Abril de 2012. Dou-lhe quatro estrelas.Esta é uma série que sigo desde o início e não me tem desiludido. Claro que tem livros mais interessantes do que outros, mas tem estado à altura das expectativas. O último volume também não me desapontou.Gostei principalmente do facto de que a Zoey parece finalmente ter-se decidido por um único namorado. Não há dramas românticos como havia nos anteriores, o que foi um alívio, porque já começava a deixar-me cansada tanta indecisão. Contudo, o final deste no que concerne a Heath leva-me a perguntar se o drama não estará de regresso no próximo.Também me agradou o desfecho reservado a Refaim. Veremos como correm as coisas para o rapaz/ corvo daqui em diante.
REVIEWI finished reading this book on April 18, 2012. I rate it four stars.
This is a series that I follow from the beginning and it has not disappointed me. Of course it has some books more interesting than others, but it has been up to my expectations. The last volume also did not disappoint me.
I especially enjoyed the fact that Zoey seems finally to have decided by a single boyfriend. There are no romantic dramas as there was earlier, which was a relief, because I was already beginning to get tired of so much indecision. However, the end of this book, in what comes to Heath, leads me to wonder if the drama will be back in the next volume.
I also liked the outcome reserved for Rephaim. We'll see how things go for the boy/ crow hereafter.

Olá! Quando nasceu o teu blogue?Olá! O meu blog nasceu oficialmente (pelo primeiro post) em Dezembro de 2009. Começou com uma vertente mais pagã/ mitológica para acabar a ser um blogue altamente pessoal que reflete todo o meu gosto pelas diferentes artes (música, livros, filosofias, etc).
Que razões te levaram a criá-lo?Principalmente a necessidade que tinha de me expressar na altura. Não criei para ser lida por centenas de pessoas como acabo por ser agora, mas sim porque havia parte dos meus pensamentos e reflexões que queria ver expostos.
O que podem os visitantes encontrar no blogue?Basicamente podem encontrar um pouco de tudo do que eu gosto. Muita informação sobre livros, opiniões, entrevistas a autores portugueses, um ou outro artigo escrito por mim, passatempos, textos sobre as várias mitologias, uma exploração mais aprofundada sobre o druidismo e outros mais gerais do paganismo, música, arte, entre outros.
Que balanço fazes desde que criaste este espaço até hoje?É-me quase impossível não olhar para trás e perguntar a mim mesma 'Que raio é que se passou para de um blogzinho pequeno sobre paganismo e mitologia, passar a um blog minimamente famoso com centenas de leitores?' O crescimento foi brutal e sinceramente quase não dei conta da dimensão que ele tomou. Acho que o balanço só pode ser positivo o que me dá forças para continuar.
Quais as maiores dificuldades que encontraste enquanto blogger?Enquanto blogger as maiores dificuldades têm sido sempre as mesmas: manter o blogue o mais atualizado possível. Já me aconteceu em 2011 ter uma série de comentários feios por causa de uma opinião que eu tinha elaborado e muitos discordaram com ela, mas facilmente ficou resolvido e, como se vê, o blogue continua a crescer.
Qual a maior alegria que o teu blogue te deu?As várias amizades que criei levando a que algumas portas se abrissem para um mundo completamente novo para mim - o mundo literário. Fiz apresentações literárias de obras de Samuel Pimenta, Filipe Faria, Fábio Ventura; estive num debate na Feira do Livro de Lisboa de 2010 sobre a literatura Fantástica; escrevi recensões para revistas/antologias, pequenas contribuições aqui e ali e preparo-me neste momento para escrever um artigo de uma dimensão um pouco maior para uma fanzine. Este reconhecimento do meu trabalho e do meu esforço não me podia dar alegria maior.


INTERVIEW WITH SOFIA
Hello! When was your blog born?Hello! My blog was born officially (by the first post) in December 2009. It started with a more pagan/ mythological site, and it ended up being a highly personal blog that reflects my taste for all the different arts (music, books, philosophy, etc.).
What reasons led you to create it?Especially the urge to express myself at the time. I didn’t create it to be read by hundreds of people as I am now, but because there was part of my thoughts and reflections that I wanted to see exposed.
What can visitors find in your blog?Basically, they can find a little of everything that I like. Lots of information about books, reviews, interviews with Portuguese authors, one or another article written by me, giveaways, texts on the various mythologies, a deeper exploration of Druidism and other more general of paganism, music, art, among others.
How did things go since this space was created until today?It is almost impossible to me not to look back and ask myself 'What the hell happened for a little blog over paganism and mythology become minimally popular, with hundreds of readers?' Growth was brutal and, honestly, I hardly realized the extent it took. I think that the balance can only be positive, which gives me strength to continue.
What were the biggest difficulties you found as a blogger?As a blogger, the greatest difficulties have always been the same: keeping the blog updated as possible. In 2011 I had a lot of bad comments, because of a review I did and many disagreed with it; but it was easily solved, and as you can see, the blog continues to grow.
What’s the greatest joy that your blog has given you?The many friendships I created, leading to some doors that opened to a whole new world for me - the literary world. I presented literary works of Samuel Pimenta, Filipe Faria, Fabio Ventura; I was in a debate in Lisbon Book Fair 2010 about fantastic literature; I wrote book reviews for magazines/ anthologies; small contributions here and there; and I’m preparing at this moment to write an article slightly bigger for a fanzine. This recognition of my work and my effort could give me no greater joy.

Olá a todos!Quando surgiu a rubrica 3Capas, mencionei nesse post que tencionava apostar na criação de outras novas áreas. Apresento-vos então “Livros&Blogues”! Todos os domingos irei dar a conhecer um blogue dedicado à literatura, que incida essencialmente sobre críticas literárias, divulgação de livros e apresentação de autores. O objetivo é, em primeiro lugar, dar destaque aos bloggers que dão o seu contributo para que os livros cheguem mais longe; é uma espécie de reconhecimento pela sua dedicação. Em segundo, o intento desta vertente é servir de ponte, operando em dois sentidos: ao mesmo tempo que ajuda a divulgar estes blogues, ajuda também os leitores a descobri-los para que os possam seguir.O primeiro post de “Livros&Blogues” será publicado já este domingo, dia 10 de junho. Fiquem atentos para saberem qual vai ser o blogue a estrear esta rubrica. Espero que seja do vosso agrado!

Hi, everyone!When the 3Covers area was born, I mentioned in that post that I intended to bet in the creation of other new areas. I present you then "Books&Blogs"! Every Sunday I will present a blog devoted to literature, focusing mainly on reviews, promotion of books and presentation of authors. The goal is, in first place, to highlight bloggers who make their contribution so that books reach further; is a kind of recognition for their dedication. Second, the intent of this component is to serve as a bridge, operating in both directions: at the same time that it helps to divulge these blogs, it also helps readers to discover them so that they can follow them.The first post of "Books&Blogs" will be published this Sunday, June 10.
