Cynthia Wright is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the two Rakes & Rebels series, 12 intertwining historical romances starring the irresistible Raveneau & Beauvisage families. She has also written beloved series set during the Renaissance and in the American West. Romantic Times Magazine hails Cynthia's novels as "Romance the way it was meant to be."

Cynthia recently released RETURN OF THE LOST BRIDE, Book 4 in her Crowns & Kilts series, set in 16th century Scotland. Proud Highlander Ciaran MacLeod is falling in love…with Violette, the plain lass he wed for convenience. But when the honor of his clan is at stake, will he put her aside for another? And, coming in the spring of 2020: Lennox’s romance (as yet untitled).

I think I would say that it was believing in myself. I started writing my first book,CAROLINE, at 21. I had no idea then how hard it was to sell a novel to a New York publisher - and I wasn't at all sure I would even get that far. When I finished the book, some people I knew (like my own dad!) reminded me that the odds were against me. They were afraid I'd be hurt & disappointed by rejection. But I decided I had nothing to lose, and that I'd written the kind of book I wanted to read. CAROLINE was rejected by several publishers - and I was submitting it without an agent, which was very tough in those days - but eventually an editor at Ballantine Books read it and took a chance on me. CAROLINE went on to be their bestselling title in December of 1977. :-)(less)

I have thought about it, but haven't attempted a children's book. My older grandson, Noah, is a talented artist and I've suggested to him that together we might be able to write a book - even just for fun. So far, he hasn't taken me up on it, but maybe this will be the year! (less)
