#8Sunday: The Princess or her Doppelganger? Excerpt from BRYCE (Galactic Defenders) #books #scifiromance
Welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!
This month, I’ve been sharing excerpts from BRYCE: Galactic Defenders Book One. I sent Bryce to my editor this past week, and it should be back to me later this week. For this excerpt, I’ve skipped a couple of sentences from last week’s snippet.
Lalia? What in Gaspra was she doing so far from home? She was no stranger, and definitely not Terran. Or, perhaps she was simply a doppelganger of the woman he’d once loved. But, what if the missing princess had somehow made her way to a planet that didn’t believe life existed beyond their own? After she’d left Hemera, and him behind without so much as a goodbye, he’d searched everywhere, though not once did he think to look on Terra.
A ground-shattering bellow pierced the night. Bryce spun around, finding himself face-to-face with another Erebus. It stared at him with its beady, red eyes. Thick black goop dripped from the hole that was its mouth.
BRYCE: Galactic Defenders Book One
A dedicated Defender…
Bryce fell in love once, but after Lalia was ripped away from him, he locked his heart from feeling anything for anyone else. Instead, he devotes his life to the Galactic Alliance, killing every bloodthirsty Erebus he comes across.
A shunned princess…
Lalia Comosova fell in love with the wrong man. When her parents learned of her transgressions, they sent her to Earth to hide her error in judgment from the rest of the kingdom.
A second chance?
When these lovers are reunited after many years apart, they have a chance to find happiness together. But fate steps in and threatens to rip them apart as it did years ago.
COMING SOON!

#MySexySaturday: A job that’s out of this world in UNKNOWN FUTURES @DecadentPub #LGBT #romance #books
Hello and welcome to the 144th week of My Sexy Saturday.
Here are the details: every Saturday, published and unpublished authors will be sharing 7 words, sentences, or paragraphs from a work-in-progress or an already published story.
Today’s theme is…
MY SEXY SECRET
For today’s post, I’m sharing an excerpt from UNKNOWN FUTURES, a lesbian 1Night Stand romance story that is on sale for 99¢ this month.
Setup: Flavia works in a location she cannot tell anyone about, which makes her very lonely. But, all that is about to change for her.
V stared across the concourse, trying to spot her charges. She’d been told to expect three people through the portal from Earth, two Terran females and a Ginnunian male who might be disguised as a Terran. How would he look? The blue-skinned species had never needed to hide their identity on the space station. Would he still show a hint of his natural color, or would he resemble his traveling mates?
They’d all be easy to spot. V was only one of five people from Earth who worked at Space Service Headquarters. Every day, she saw thousands of Phanties, a species with large ears and a trunk like an elephant; Pillites, who reminded her of a giant pill bug; Goopers, blue blobs with eight short tentacles as feet, and many other species from around the universe. But Terrans could only make it out to the space station—perched on the far edge of the Milky Way from their home world—using a portal the government deemed classified.
She’d never dreamed of working off-planet back when she waitressed for a quaint Italian restaurant in New York while putting herself through grad school. But one unusually calm night, she’d served a man who’d reminded her of a character from Men in
Black. He’d appeared surprised when she’d understood his order—spoken in German.
While her other customers languished, he’d engaged her in friendly conversation. Charmed by his witty repartee, she’d revealed she spoke five different languages and was working two jobs to put herself through school. Along with a generous tip, he’d left his
card—containing only his name and number—with If you’re looking for a job that’s out of this world, call me written on the back. Thinking he was some kind of quack, she’d tossed the card in the trash before greeting a new table of customers.
He returned the next night and every evening for a week until she consented to sit down to listen to his job offer. Six months later, after completing rigorous training, she’d walked through the portal to serve as a concierge for the space station’s interstellar hotel. She hadn’t returned to Earth since then, her position so top secret she’d been unable to so much as tell her boss why she’d quit with no notice. Other than spending a few familiar holidays with her fellow Terrans, she almost never crossed paths with anyone from home.
She continued her education as well, overwhelmed and fascinated by ancient space history consisting of much more information than that of Earth. Still, she missed her own kind. Terrans were seen as inferior to those from other planets, governed by cowards who
hid the idea of other life in space, yet took full advantage of the technology. Thankfully, no one held her accountable for Earth’s deficiencies.
She was drawn back to the present as the crowd parted in front of her, like the Red Sea to reveal her charges. They walked along with the other new arrivals, oblivious to the multitude of curious looks they received. The blue, lanky Ginnunian male led his very pregnant terran wife toward her. Peering past the pair, V caught a glimpse of a darkhaired woman tucked closely behind them before the crowd closed in once again, grunting, squeaking, and clicking in communication.
She'd never dreamed of working off-planet. #Excerpt from UNKNOWN FUTURES by Jessica E. Subject

Chapter One
“Miss Jewel Barnaby?”
Her eyes darted toward the tall, austere man in surprise, nervous tension knotting her shoulders. She almost didn’t respond. No one had called her Jewel since she’d left the hospital two years ago. Instead they called her ugly, freak, or monster. The doctors had
done all they could, but despite the several surgeries and multiple, painful skin grafts, everyone in Prescott, Ontario would always know her as the girl who was splashed in the face with acid on the biggest night of her teenage life.
They’d been in his garage, grabbing blankets for the after-prom party. When he’d tried to get fresh with her, she’d had to tell him, a jock through and through, she wouldn’t sleep with him, that she’d preferred women. But he didn’t take no for an answer. Pinned
against his truck, her heart racing in panic, she kneed him in the groin. Doubled over, he’d grabbed sulfuric acid from a shelf behind him and splashed it in her face. Everything after that moment became a blur until she woke up in a hospital, groggy with painkillers, a tube stuck down her throat. She couldn’t see a thing with the bandages covering her eyes, but felt and heard her mother by her side.
From then on, some of her neighbors looked at her with disgust, sympathy, or fear. Others glanced away when she passed, as if she didn’t exist, including her old friends.
The chauffeur simply smiled at her as he reached for her two oversized suitcases. His professional, impassive demeanor calmed some of the butterflies dancing in her stomach.
Standing on the curb, she stared down the road, sure neighbors spied out their windows, wondering why a limo would be picking her up. I need a break from this place. As she slid over the leather seat of the Ford Excursion limousine, her stomach tightened. Madame Evangeline’s text had been brief. Pack for two weeks. The limo will meet you in front of your building in an hour. She’d had no time to do anything but change and throw clothes in a suitcase.
Until now. Had applying to 1Night Stand really been a good idea? She could end up with her date running away, screaming. And why had Madame Evangeline told her to pack for two weeks when her date was only supposed to last one night?
She had no one to report to, though, no one who would worry she’d be gone for so long. She didn’t have a job. When she handed in applications, she was often told the position had already been filled, and once she’d poked her head back in to ask a question and seen her resume being ripped up before she’d even left the building. All the university courses she took were through distance education. With so much free time, she often kept well ahead of her studies so she had no assignments due for another month.
Her parents wouldn’t miss her either; her mother had died a year before from breast cancer. They’d spent so much time together in the hospital. She’d been Jewel’s closest friend, her ally, the one person who’d accepted her unconditionally. And now she had no
one. Her father only cared about his bimbo of a girlfriend, and made sure to keep the airhead away from his lesbian daughter. Jewel rolled her eyes. She preferred a woman with a brain, not an ass wiggle and an annoying laugh.
She preferred a woman with a brain. UNKNOWN FUTURES by Jessica E. Subject is only #99cents! #LGBT #romance

In the last two years, though, she hadn’t had one date, not even a night out with friends. No one wanted to be seen with her, and after a day of stares at the local college, when she’d gone there to write an exam, she’d returned home and applied to the 1Night Stand dating service. She’d read an account of the wondrous matchmaking abilities of Madame Evangeline on a Yahoo group for burn victims. If Josh had found love, why couldn’t she?
Jewel had no idea what her date looked like or where she’d meet her. Looks really didn’t matter, but she wanted an age, a name, something…. And where was she going? Packing for the Sahara Desert was not the same as packing for the Arctic Circle, so she’d
included clothing for both and every climate in between.
When the limo merged onto the highway, she reached into her tote bag for her ereader. Taking her mind off the purpose of her trip might ease her rolling stomach. Throwing up in the luxurious car did not seem like a good idea. She loaded up the most recent book
from her favorite science fiction romance series—involving an alien species not as uptight about homosexuality as humans—and became lost in a world more hospitable than her own.

#MidWeekTease: Craving the Forbidden Fruit in BEYOND REACH #scifiromance #books
Happy Wednesday! It’s time for Mid Week Tease. Last night, I sent the manuscript for Bryce to my editor. I cannot wait to release it. It’s my longest story yet. But, I’m not sharing an excerpt from Bryce today. I share excerpts from that story on the weekend as part of Weekend Writing Warriors. Instead, I’m going to share an excerpt from the story that will release after Bryce, called Beyond Reach…
Setup: Xia is a Terran (from Earth) who was abandoned by her parents on the planet Culva. She was raised by natives, and has picked up their trade of erotic massage. Though, she dreams of a different life.
Xia trailed her hand up then down the Elikashe’s scaly thigh.
Sound asleep. Time to leave.
She slid off the bed. Clients had to pay extra to have her stay until morning, and even then, she tried to avoid falling asleep with them. Grabbing her tubes and bottles of massage oils and creams, she packed them away in her bag. After a long night, she yearned to go home, get as much sleep as possible before her next appointment.
Leaving her client’s suite, Xia headed down to the main floor of the guest quarters. She passed through the office to drop off her bag.
“Done already, Xia?”
Spinning on her heels, she faced Garesh, the muscular Culvan man—a level Four Suavito—who had trained her and several other level Ones in the art of erotic massage. If he hadn’t been like a father figure to her, she’d swoon over him like the rest of her classmates had. During their lessons, he’d worn only loose-fitting pants made of filmy palan, which exposed his golden, god-like body to his students. Sometimes, to illustrate his lessons of a male’s erogenous zones, he’d strip down to nothing. On those days, she’d tried to listen more than look. Creaming her panties over her instructor was not all right. What would Cyresse have said?
Xia knew there was something going on between the two of them. He spent a lot of time at the house of her guardian and mentor. But she’d never seen them touch each other intimately, and he stayed away when Cyresse entertained clients. If only she could figure out their relationship.
“Yeah, he’s asleep and my arms are sore. I’m going to need a full day off to recover.” Her last client had extremely knotted muscles under his scale-covered body. A feat for any masseur, whether they included a happy ending or not.
“No can do. I’ve already booked you a client. He’s from Ubetron, so you won’t have to dig so deep.” Garesh winked at her. “Wanted an experienced Suavita, but wasn’t willing to pay for Cyresse. Plus, she’s already booked.”
Xia groaned. Clients who weren’t willing to pay the high price usually expected more than they paid for. And one from Ubetron might not even want her anyway. “Um, Terrans and Ubetrons are enemies. Did you forget that?”
“Not at all.” He eyed the appointment book. “Says here he prefers a Terran.”
“Huh?” Did he plan to torture her?
“Some like to taste the forbidden fruit. It’s very common here.” He shooed her away. “Now go home and rest. He wants you for the entire night.”

I don’t have a blurb yet, but for anyone who thinks this story sounds familiar, it is a rewrite of An Unexpected Return. I am revising it into the darker story I originally wrote it as, and adding more to the end.

Hello! It’s Tuesday, and time for this week’s Weekly Writing Update. Before we get to it, I want to mention that I’m participating in a HUGE Sci-Fi and Fantasy promotion this weekend that includes five different retailers. So, be sure to come back for more on that starting Saturday.
BRYCE ~ I’m done revisions! Well, almost. I’m taking one more glance over it today to look for continuity issues and any glaring mistakes before sending it to my editor at Wizards in Publishing this evening. As for a word count, I finished the first draft at 30,536, and finished revisions yesterday at 37,090. It shouldn’t be much different by the end of today. So, I’ll have another story to update you on next week.
SALE ~ Today is the LAST DAY to get HER ALIEN HERO for 99¢ at Amazon and All Romance. Starting tomorrow, Unknown Futures will be on sale.
READING ~ I haven’t read anything this past week, dedicating all my time to finishing revisions on Bryce. But, I’m almost done listening to The Crusader’s Bride audio book by Claire Delacroix. I’m on the second last chapter, which is full of excitement. Here are the recent additions to my library…
Undiscovered by Anna Hackett (ebook)
The Last Star by Rick Yancey (audio book)
The Outliers by Kimberly McCreight (audio book)
GOALS FOR THE WEEK ~ I am going to send Bryce to my editors tonight, finish listening to The Crusader’s Bride, and start reading a new book. I think I’ll be working on Beyond Reach next, but I’ll be expanding the plot for Jager (Galactic Defenders Book Two) as well.
Please share what you have been up to this week. Are you reading or writing anything new?

#8Sunday: One Erebus down. Excerpt from BRYCE (Galactic Defenders) #books #scifiromance
Welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!
This month, I’ve been sharing excerpts from BRYCE: Galactic Defenders Book One. Remember, last week Bryce was jumping over patio furniture while chasing an Erebus, but he caught the woman who lived at the house by surprise, and she rushed at him. This excerpt directly follows from last week…
Just as the Erebus lumbered in front of him, he raised his weapon and fired. A clean shot to the middle. The creature dropped like a fallen log, crushing the furniture it landed on.
Bryce loaded the crossbow again. No time to celebrate the kill. He had to worry about the possibility of other Erebus in the area, along with the Terran woman who had seen him. Instead of running away screaming, as he’d expected her to do, she stared, wide-eyed in horror. Not at him, but the Erebus. Her body trembled as she slowly shuffled backward, mumbling incomprehensible words.
An unexpected sense of familiarity washed over him.

#MySexySaturday: He’s not done rescuing her in BENEATH THE STARRY SKY @DecadentPub #romance #books
Hello and welcome to the 143rd week of My Sexy Saturday.
Here are the details: every Saturday, published and unpublished authors will be sharing 7 words, sentences, or paragraphs from a work-in-progress or an already published story.
Today’s theme is…
COME AND GET MY SEXY
For today’s post, I’m sharing an excerpt from BENEATH THE STARRY SKY, a contemporary 1Night Stand erotic romance story.
Setup: Tamara and Josh are out in the woods, and when she trips on a tree root, Tamara’s wig falls off. (She has Alopecia Areata.) Josh tells her to leave it off, but Tamara is reluctant to go bald. Trying to convince her she’s just as beautiful without it, he asks her is she sees him as a freak with his scars.
“No.” How could he even think that about himself? He was the most gorgeous man she had ever seen. For the next month, hopefully longer, he’d be the star of her fantasies.
“Well, I feel the same about you. It doesn’t matter to me that you’re bald. I can see past that. Maybe others feel differently, but it’s only the two of us out here.” He brushed his lips across her neck. “In fact, I’d like to see the rest of you just as bare.”
A chill ran down her spine. She looked up at him, every part of her hoping she’d heard him correctly. Can this really be happening? Does he really not care that I’m bald?
“Now, you fell because you were lost in your thoughts. Did they have anything to do with me?” He wiggled his eyebrows, bringing a smile to her face. She hadn’t smiled without her wig on, ever.
“Maybe….” The situation was all too much to take. Nothing had gone as she’d expected. She needed to think. Turning out of his arms, she walked further up the path.
“Hey,” he called after her. “Get back here. I’m not done rescuing you yet.”
But she only wanted to run. “I guess you’ll have to catch me then.” She took off, this time watching where she placed her feet. The air blew past her cheeks, over her bald head, and she rediscovered her long lost freedom. Even as he chased her, she could not deny the exhilaration of finding herself again. Of being accepted. She didn’t dare look back to see where he was, but she heard the pounding of his feet not far behind her. “So much for my hero.”
You'll have to catch me then. #Excerpt from BENEATH THE STARRY SKY by Jessica E. Subject

BENEATH THE STARRY SKY
Left at the altar with bald patches on her head and her self-confidence stripped away, Tamara Johnson must pick up the pieces of her life and face her Alopecia Areata, the autoimmune disease causing her hair to fall out. She is convinced no man will date a bald woman and arranges a one-night stand through Madame Evangeline’s popular service, 1Night Stand. With her new wig held firmly in place, Tamara arrives at the Castillo Hotel in Las Vegas for a night of passion and pleasure. Anything more than one night would mean exposing her bald head, and she will never do that to any man again.
Running into the Castillo Hotel, away from the paparazzi constantly at his heels, Josh Summers wants to spend his next few days locked away from the flashing lights and screaming fans. When he finds an incredibly sexy woman lying on his hotel room bed in nothing but lingerie, he thinks management has made a mistake. Leaving her behind, he heads for the lobby to get the situation rectified. But an unexpected text from Madame Evangeline sends him back to his room. Though unsure whether the woman on the bed is really his perfect match or just another fan believing him to be like his character on television, he knows he must find out, even if it means he must risk telling her his own secrets. If Tamara can handle his imperfections, she just might be his ideal woman.

Our choices are rarely cut and dry.
Sara: As the daughter of Senator and presidential hopeful Jentsen Holbrook, I spent a good deal of my life under public scrutiny. What I wore. Where I went. Who I dated. It was just the way of things. I’d become what was expected of me, until I ran from my obligations and woke up one morning in Cross de Raven’s and Eryk Hale’s world, two hot guitarists from the mega-famous metal band, Cinder. For the first time, freedom to be myself was within my reach. And along with that? Inevitable scandal.
Eryk: True beauty walked into my life, more beauty than I ever deserved. I partied hard. Rocked harder. I wasn’t good enough to touch Sara’s petal-soft skin, hold on tight, or love her, but regardless of my bad boy ways, no one was going to stop me from trying.
Cross: Sometimes, no matter how hard we fight for what we want, love won’t save the day, and truth doesn’t always set you free. Then again… Maybe, just maybe, when you find the one you’ve been searching for, love can find a way.
Please Note: This book contains mature themes, explicit language and sexual scenes

Holy cow. The energy swirling through the dimly lit Tacoma Dome was a living, pulsing entity unlike anything I’d experienced before. Twenty thousand-plus people packed the space, chanting, “Cinder! Cinder!” while holding lighters and cellphones in the air, so many it was as if millions of fireflies took flight.
Briar and I stood in the VIP section with our after party passes—the wide logoed bracelets on our wrists—completely surrounded by warm bodies. Our bellies were being pressed into the barrier separating us from the security personnel outlining the front of the stage. Cobalt blue laser lights danced and smoke rolled like fog, making the details of the stage hard to see, even from our close vantage point.
Leaning into me, Briar placed her forehead to mine and smiled wide. “Isn’t this fucking awesome?”
“It is,” I agreed.
“You two going to slip each other the tongue?” some guy hollered from behind us.
Briar turned, giving him her signature hip cock—are you serious?—lift of brow. “You’d like that, wouldn’t you?”
“Hell yes.”
She flipped him a not so elegant bird. “Kiss this, asshat.”
“Bri,” I admonished, ready to throw myself in front of her if the guy went ballistic, but he laughed and turned his attention to the stage.
In front of us, shadows moved. The whine of a discordant guitar, followed by a “Ba-bump. Ba-bump,” reverberated from the domed ceiling.
“Oh my God!” Briar screeched in my ear as she latched on to my blouse, practically jumping in place, and almost removing the short, fluttery sleeve in the process. “This is it, babe.”
An unbelievably deep voice bellowed out a war cry that mixed into the sound of rumbling thunder and vibrated the floor beneath me.
Multiple LED screens lit up the entire backstage with a picture show of a churning fire, followed by devastating nuclear explosions. Along the side of the stage, real flames and sparks
shot into the air as a shirtless man, half-surrounded by a massive set of drums, lowered from above on a lit platform—muscled arms working, leg tapping.
The crowd went wild.
“That’s Sayer Adler,” Bri yelled near my ear. “Isn’t he gorgeous?”
I looked at the man pounding out a wicked beat, and decided—with his mussed, dark hair with platinum blond tips, sporting long sideburns highlighting a strong jaw, and a sculpted upper body covered in colorful tattoos—he was striking.
A huge flash of light and perfectly timed kaboom went off, drawing my gaze. As the smoke cleared, another member of the band came into view. “That’s Kris Kline. The bassist,” my bestie informed. Then two more men, with fingers flying over their respective guitars appeared together, leaning back to back within their own light show. “The hottie with the mirrored sunglasses and black tour beanie on his head is Cross de Raven. He’s lead guitar. And the other, Mr. I’d-do-him-in-a-heartbeat, is Eryk Hale, rhythm guitarist.”
The two of them had this inexplicable sensuality about them in the way they swayed together, which pretty much kept my attention trained on them until the last guy rose up from an opening in the floor, reminiscent of a leather-clad gladiator stopping center stage, causing the two guitarists to break apart—one going left, the other right.
Beside me, Briar wolf-whistled.
“Shit, yeah! I love you, Fade,” she screamed at the top of her lungs. Then my friend, never one to mince words, flashed sparkling eyes at me. “I so want to have that man’s baby!”
With a saucy wink, she returned her attention back to the action, threw her arm in the air, her fingers making devil horns, and started rocking her head, long hair swishing about her face.
The vocalist curled his ring-covered fingers around a freestanding microphone that looked like a burnt, twisted twig of a tree sprouting up in front of him, which he uprooted. I tried to soak in the experience as he did this combination of singing and screaming about annihilation. The lights, the sound, the penetrating vibrations, the feel of bodies in motion, and the way the members of Cinder worked every square inch of the stage was mesmerizing. I didn’t know much if anything about metal music, but it was clear they were talented.
Cross ground out an amazing sound on his guitar, palm sliding across the neck, fingers on the frets—his instrument dropping down between his muscular thighs as he lunged. Pure,
euphoric pleasure emanated from his handsome face, and a vivid image of him having hot, sweaty, sheet-clawing sex came to mind.
What in the heck is wrong with me?
I pushed the naughty thoughts aside and tore my gaze away from the guitar god, focusing on Eryk, only to find him making love to his guitar. Gah! I needed to get my mind out of the gutter.
Focus on something else.
I watched the drummer again. Slipped my attention to Fade. Moved my gaze over to the bassist. I also returned to watching Cross and Eryk. If they kept up their current high-powered pace of stomping, jumping, and leg lunges throughout the duration of the concert, they’d never need to darken a gym, because they were doing some killer cardio.
When the song ended, Fade bellowed, “How are you tonight, Tacoma?” in a gravelly voice.
The crowd went berserk.

#MidWeekTease: He’s late for their date in CELESTIAL SEDUCTION #romance #books
Happy Wednesday! It’s time for Mid Week Tease. Today, I’m going to share an excerpt from my first release (almost five years ago), CELESTIAL SEDUCTION.
Setup: After seeing a picture of her date, Carrie arrived at the hotel, anxious to meet him. But after two hours, he hadn’t shown up, so she decides to relax in the room’s whirlpool tub.
The door handle to the hotel room rattled. Carrie stopped reading and waited. She hadn’t ordered room service; they would knock anyway.
She shot upright as Frey, the man she recognized from his profile, burst into the room. “Sorry I’m late. I would have called you, but I couldn’t get any reception.”With eyes wide, he stared at her, a slight grin on his lips as she stood naked in front of him. She threw towels from the edge of the tub at him. “Turn around!” Trying to cover herself with her hands, warmth spread from her cheeks to her ears and down her neck.
He turned around and picked up something from the floor. As he sidestepped toward her, she cringed. “I’m just going to hand you a bathrobe. You might be more comfortable wearing that for now.”
For now? Yes, the one-night stand. Nerves attacked once again. Taking the robe, she wrapped it tightly around her body. He held out his hand to help her out of the tub, but she only stared at him. This man who’d left her waiting for hours wanted the date to go on? No apologies? Then she met his eyes, reminding her of tropical waters and captivating her very soul. She reached for him without any conscious thought.
“Why don’t we sit by the fireplace?” He led her to one of the loveseats in front of it.
She wanted to yell at him, put him in his place for disrespecting her, for stripping away more of her self-confidence, but she couldn’t form the words. Her heart pounded. He’s even better looking in person. With her hand held firmly in his, anger ebbed away with each step. Maybe the night would turn out better than she’d expected, so long as he didn’t disappoint her again. One night in the presence of this god-like man couldn’t hurt.

CELESTIAL SEDUCTION
At the end of his obligated commitment to the Space Service, Frey Berger decides to stay on Earth to further experience human emotions rather than return to Ginnun where his intended has already mated with another. Looking for real love and someone to accept him for what he is, Frey enlists in Madame Evangeline’s popular dating service. Although he does not understand the concept of a one-night stand, he hopes to find his perfect mate.
Carrie Cooper’s husband divorced her for someone who could provide him with children, leaving her with little self-confidence and no desire to let a man hurt her again. Her best friend convinces her to join a dating service, claiming Carrie needs to get laid, while not winding up with a broken heart since her date requires no commitment after the night is over.
Although several misunderstandings nearly derail them before the date has even begun, Carrie and Frey end up becoming closer than they ever believed possible. Still, Frey will need to convince Carrie that her perfect mate isn’t human at all, and that one night can lead to a forever love.
