Llangynidr Primary

I had a super time visiting Llangynidr Primary on Monday 15th September. It was a topsy-turvy day, with my assembly following four workshops rather than kicking things off.

Forest View Primary

It was my absolute pleasure to return to Forest View Primary today. I arrived to a real buzz in the air and spotted so many familiar faces. And whilst I was hidden out of sight behind one of my vertical banners, one of the pupils walked through the hall and excitedly announced, ‘I LOVED this assembly last year… and the book’.

Blackwell’s Oxford

B. Ware had a fantastic time at Blackwell’s Oxford on August 30th, introducing new readers and their parents to the Words of WARNING collection; handing out free stickers, bookmarks, and certificates; and talking all things books. She found it a real wrench to leave this stunning store at the end of the day but hopes to return next year once WARNING: Grandma’s Gone Bonkers has been published.

Ward End Library

My final library visit this summer was to Ward End Library, just a few miles from Shard End Library. But after a quiet start to the day at Shard End, I wasn’t expecting the 61 attendees who showed up for this afternoon session!!!

Shard End Library

My penultimate library visit this summer was to Shard End Library. It was a rather quiet morning, but I had a great time with the handful of children and parents that came along to join in with my activities.

Harborne Library

I spent a wonderful day at Harborne Library today. This library only has a small frontage, but the building itself is huge… and the children’s section has a whole floor to itself!!! I couldn’t believe how busy it was in there from the moment I arrived until the moment I left, with children continuing to pop in for a book, take part in the treasure hunt, and join in with my activities throughout the day.

St John’s Library

I had a lovely few hours at St John’s Library this morning, with Jack, Arianna, Lucas, Teddy, Thomas, William, Evie, and Arlo. (I hope I haven’t missed anyone out!)

Handsworth Library

Today, I hosted two activity sessions at Handsworth Library – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The children’s section in this library is huge, with a fantastic selection of books, light streaming in through the windows, and beautiful decorations throughout. It also boasts some super furniture including a number of quirky tables that fit together to make one giant one.

Williton Library

My third and final visit today was to Williton Library. This lovely library has recently located to across the road from where it used to be. But despite it being full of books, it was sadly empty of patrons whilst I was there. In fact, this visit turned out to be my quietest to date… with only one attendee!

Minehead Library

My second of three library visits today was to Minehead Library. Having not left myself much turnaround time after my earlier visit to Porlock Community Library, it was a bit of a mad dash to get there, park, and get set up. But it was lovely to see a number of children reading in the Children’s Section when I arrived.
