Paper and ink
It's the last two days of my The Thrifty Mom's Guide to Style ebook giveaway -- comment and tweet to get a copy (scroll down this post to see how.)
Anyhoo, the ebook is doing well and I'm astounded by the different formats in which it's available. (Quick round up: Kindle, Android smartphone; iPhone and iPad, oh my!) I've only just recently converted to the Kindle (life-changing experience -- my commutes have never been more fun) and I have to say that ebooks are really the wave of the future. I still love paper and ink books, especially graphic novels, but just consider: this week I finished A Game of Thrones, read while commuting to work, while pumping milk (TMI sorry), while taking quick five minute work breaks. I would've never thought to lug a 500++ page book to work before and would've driven myself nuts thinking of the next twist in the tale as it lay in my home library, waiting for me to get home. So thank you, technology, for letting me bring a whole library with me wherever I go!

If the Shoe Fits, Manila Bulletin book review
I really, really need to get my files in order! I've got so much stuff lying around that I need to collate into some semblance of a portfolio. One of those things is this -- a copy of a book review of If The Shoe Fits, published in The Manila Bulletin back in 2008. Download the PDF here.
In the meantime, here's to putting up a good and proper writer's website and folio...soon!

Fools Like Us
Fools Like Us was published in the Philippine Graphic in 2004. Prior to this story I was into writing angry, angsty, violent stuff, and when this came out my friends were surprised at the "softer" tone I was taking. Little did anyone predict I'd soon write - and enjoy writing! - chick lit! Read the full text of Fools Like Ushere.

Second Geeks Are Evil Podcast, 2008(ish) or 2009?
After If The Shoe Fits came out I came back to do another Geeks Are Evil podcast with AG and Carla, where we talk about the dangers of being friends with a chick lit author (warning: YOU MAY BECOME MATERIAL), character growth and the very important role the Sweet Valley series, RL Stine and other YA books had in our education as writers. Download here.

Geeks are Evil podcast, 2007
Back in 2007 when Pink Shoes and The Hagette first came out I had the pleasure of talking with AG of the now-defunct Anansi Girl blog. We did a podcast with friends Carla and Mike about how I started writing, how Pink Shoes and the Hagette came about, chick lit's maligned reputation and lots of other topics. It was my first time to be "interviewed" about the books (although it was more of a fun chat with friends) so I sound so nervous and slow! But it's nice to revisit those early days. If you want to give the podcast a go (warning: this is an hour long!) you can download it from here.
