Sexy, Sinful, Sunday Seven
I used to participate in a deal like this last year and unfortunately it ended. So I was thinking I'd just do something similar on my own....
This week, I'll go with the most current release; Mike's Way Back
So if you're not familiar with the Racing to Love series, I'll introduce you to Mike Sterling - or rather Detective Michael Sterling - AKA Carter's oldest brother in Carter's Treasure (RTL #1)......
A great many people wrote in either by the website or my email; amy@amygregoryauthor.com and told me that they fell in love with the teddy bear of a cop. I'd already started planning my next series, shorter, steamier books that were set in Mike's small hometown, so it was a relief to know he'd have some book girlfriends waiting for him!

Detective Mike Sterling walked away from his dream job telling himself it was to honor the promise he’d made his mother, while lying in a Chicago emergency room. A year later, he’s still fighting the demons that followed him back to his boyhood town. Taryn Watts is an award-winning designer, going from project to project, living from a suitcase. One glance was enough to know the baseball game he had zoned out on was now tied. Blinking, he separated his hellish past from present day and turned toward the bar to answer Jeff. His friend was holding up a fresh bottle, yet to be uncapped. Mike blinked twice, hardly letting Jeff’s chuckle register. Mike’s jaw wasn’t the only part of him to twitch.
It had nothing to do the second beer that the bartender just set on the counter for the waitress to deliver to him. No, it was all to do with the knockout in a black pencil skirt, toned bare legs and killer heels standing at the bar—talking to Jeff.

Well, it's been a long time comin'....but the final chapter in the Racing to Love dynasty is about to come to a close.
James Noland met his wife, best friend and the love of his life in college. It took a winding path with many cracks and bumps along the way but he was able to succeed in giving her a home full of children, laughter and love. Their family by choice, if not by blood.
Now it's come full circle and his eldest granddaughter has made the Noland Racing Academy her life's work, passion and love.
No one knows more than James, how one moment in time can alter the world, knocking it completely off its axis. And like in the past, James will do whatever it takes to put his family back together again.
She fell in love when she was three--they all saw it happen. But she's slipping further away from them all. Can that man be the one person who can save her? If not, Alex may be the one heart break James can't take.

Countdown is on!
Detective Mike Sterling is back in his hometown of Renlend, KS. But you know where you can find him soon? That's right... good ol Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
The Finding Perfect series books are a bit shorter than the Racing to Love novels. So the plan as it stands right now is to release two in ebook form, then a print copy of two, or possibly three stories in say a trilogy format for those who prefer print books vs ebooks.
I can't tell you how excited I am for this series to launch! I will admit, there will be less "angst" (although I try not to write with much anyway) in these books. They are more about the relationships within a community, finding a place to belong and someone to belong to. Oh...and they come with a heat warning! Bahahahahaaa (insert evil giggles here!) Oh yeah... much more heat. Well as much as I can get away with under my real name. When I finish the book under my pen,,,,well then---um. More on that another day! (again with the evil laughter!)
In case you forgot what he looks like..... I'll add: Lick the computer screen at your own risk. I cannot be held responsible for drool ruining keyboards either.

I'm STILL HERE! LMAO!
Hi Lovlies!
I've missed blogging...well, kind of LOL. Sometimes it's really hard for me to just run off random stuff, but I can assure you I've never been accused of being quiet!
I will apologize for being absent, between about five very hard things this past few months, I had to place priorities on all of my activities and well, as a mom, some of my things fell to the bottom of the list as I'm sure most people with kids (even 4-legged ones) understand. But, my dad is doing better, my (sister at heart & ear friend's son is stable (both of which I'll beg prayers of y'all!), kids are back at school and so on.
If you follow my FB, you'll also notice I've got two new children...so freaking adorable, but OMG! I totally forgot what puppies in the house was like! And I brought not one but two home! But I'm so in love with them, so even though the potty training is NOT going well...they've stolen my heart.
So onto huge news!
First...My dad was declared cancer free. He still has a long way to go in recovery, but still. My son (in my heart, AKA my friend's son) Braden's scans came back still clear of the neuroblastoma, and the pre-lukemia cells are still where we pray they stay. My sister (in my heart) Katie M has become an invaluable help to me as not only a friend but an author, she's been my saving grace this last two years and is publishing all my books for me. Which I can never thank her enough for! I have not only learned to shoot a compound bow, but mine is maxed out poundage wise so now it's just to up my accuracy and start whipping my husband's ass at league night... (NO I told him I won't hunt, that's for him & our son!) Our middle daughter...OMG, I may not get through this without tears, came to us and had enough in her savings to buy some water bottles she found online and donate the money to Braden's Hope for Childhood Cancer Foundation... I know right! As of yesterday...and Deliece (my dear friend and his momma) doesn't know this yet. The Gala is tonight for the foundation and middle is going to present a check to her for $2750.00!!!!!! Not too shabby for a 12yo! all on her own I might add! She's still got plenty to sell and when all is said and done, she'll have raised 15K! Yeah...See why I've been busy! BTW, Braden's Hope, when Deliece found out that there hadn't been a new medicine introduced to the market for childhood cancers in over 30 YES 30 YEARS! She set out to change that. His foundation isn't for medical bills or etc, it's purely for research so that no other parent will have to hear the words "NO KNOWN CURE".
Wow... that was a mouthful huh. Sorry I get to rambling!
And I guess my other news which I very excited about, but in my opinion isn't as big as the other REALLY important things like above....but Eli's Honor still continues to do really well, along with the other books in the Racing to Love series. BTW, Alex's Destiny will release on 11/1/13!!!!! I'll release her cover soon... I LOVE IT! In the meantime.....drum roll......
I have news about Mr. Michael Sterling...oh sorry, let me rephrase that... Detective Mike Sterling... AKA Carter Sterling's older brother!
He is releasing this week! I don't have an exact date, that will sort of fall to Amazon but will be this week. I'll post his cover and blurb below... His cover.... I'm really proud of. I think because I'm quite fond of the designer....You'll have to let me know what you think. Especially since it's not by a professional, it's not by someone who has done this 1000 times...but by a high school student. I finally convinced her she was talented and not to scoff at something that not all people can do. And that she could make money at it, and I did pay her I promise. Plus, it cost me an extra trip to Starbucks....
Thanks for always supporting me as a friend, (even if we've never met) writer, and my stories!

Eli's Honor is up and available for sale. and get this.... he's climbing up the charts and it was just overnight before I even said anything... That's all thanks to you! I have the most loyal readers and friends ever! I can't thank you enough!

How hot is that ---- RIGHT? oh wow, oh wow..... He was the one I fell hard for. I love Carter, he's my sweetie. Jesse, well, hell, Jess is just a freaking heartbreaker... But Eli. He's got a quiet, commanding personality that just sets me on fire. I know... seriously, I wrote the book and yeah, I shouldn't be like that but see, for those of you that know me.... you know I don't plot out anything. The characters come alive to me on paper. I don't see their true personalities until the book is about 3/4 done. It's then I sit back and go.. oh wow...I didn't see that coming! :D
I hope you all enjoy Eli.... and his journey back.
FYI.... while you are waiting for the final installment in the Racing to Love series - Alex's Destiny.... Which by the way... my big secret is revealed in Eli's Honor... hint hint... I will be releasing the first book in the 2nd series. The series name is Finding Perfect, and it's all about finding, well.. basically.. perfect. The perfect person, at the perfect time, and the perfect place to call home after being lost, lonely, overworked, whatever the case may be for each character. Here's a surprise for you.... many of you fell in love with a certain detective....Mike Sterling... AKA --- Carter Sterling's older brother. The first book of the new series is called Mike's Way Back. so... yep... you asked and you shall receive... here's a little tidbit for you on this new series. They're a bit shorter, and a whole lot steamier! Not that Eli isn't, but I upped the ante - a lot! Look for it in Sept/Oct :D

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!!!
Soooooo.....
I told you I'd be announcing some exciting news soon. Today is that day that I can finally talk about it.
After a year and a half with the great people of SSP, I have decided to brave the world of self publishing. Yikes! I know, but I'm so excited. I have all sorts of stuff coming from every direction. But the Racing to Love series is doing amazing, plus we have changed a bit of Carter's Treasure and added Saving Molly to the beginning of it. It is the prologue to the entire series and it's a must read. If' you've already purchased Carter's Treasure before, please email me at amy@amygregoryauthor.com and I'd be happy to email you that portion.
I've been so lucky to have gained so mainly loyal friends through this publishing process, I'm hoping to keep you busy reading! Eli's Honor will come out soon. We're saying 7/11, but it may be ready to go before then! Then....for those that fell in love with Mike...ah swoon... Carter's big brother that so many fell for! He's back! He's going to branch off and Mike's Way Back is the first book in the Finding Perfect series. Look for him in Aug/Sept, I'll keep you posted. But I'm sooooo pumped!
ahhhhh big breath... so much so fast! Oh and then Alex's Destiny will release probably in November....and I have to say... I told my husband, Alex is probably my pride and joy. I think because it's the last of the RTL series??? I don't know, but I cried so much writing that damn book. Ugh.... I hope you'll love it too.
As for right this moment, I'm working on book two of the Finding Perfect series, and wow, this little gal Gabby...oh holy hell, she's a firecracker!
So, thank you so much for your patience, your loyalty, everything! There was so much I couldn't say until today, and I am just so excited for what is to come for the rest of 2013 and in 2014! I'll keep you busy reading because, I LOVE writing.

Come dine with Sophie and Dan: Today’s treat is… Mouth-Melting, Tummy-Tingling Lasagna!Sophie’s Run Blogtour 2013
Hello there! My name is Sophie, and I am the main character in the Rock Star Romance Trilogy by Nicky Wells. It’s very nice to meet you, and a huge thank to my fabulous Sapphire Star Publishing sister, Amy Gregory, for hosting me here today.
Nicky, my author, is doing a blog tour for her second book, Sophie’s Run. No surprise there, I guess, it’s the done thing, right? Ah, but not this one. You see, Nicky was so blog-toured out from the first book only a few short months ago that she figured you wouldn’t want to read any more about her, her and her. Instead, she’s decided to take you on tour with me and Dan. It’s a journey of geographic and culinary exploration and it involves an awful lot of cooking on my part. Yes, cooking. The woman has me shackled in the kitchen, trying out all these recipes. “I write what I know,” she told me. “I know how to cook, I make you cook in the book, therefore you must learn to cook.”
True. Except slightly unfair, because today’s offering is Dan’s domain, Dan being the lead singer of legendary rock band Tuscq, and my main love interest throughout the course of the Trilogy. He cooks, and my, he’s great at it too. I was just as shocked as you no doubt are! Take a look at this excerpt from Sophie’s Run:
“I told you I could cook,” he announced, and opened the oven door with a flourish. I could just make out a dish filled to the brim with what looked like hot cheesy sauce. It smelled delicious. I took a closer peek but he shooed me away, telling me to sit down at the table, which he had already laid for two.“What is this?” I managed, totally taken aback.“Just a little treat,” Dan announced cheerfully, pulling the rack out of the oven and revealing a perfectly cooked, mouth-watering lasagna. “To apologize for my very bad behavior and my long sulk.” He set the steaming dish on the table, narrowly avoiding knocking over an open bottle of red wine.“I got garlic bread, too…” he continued, deftly retrieving it from the oven. “Oh, and salad.” He scurried to the fridge.
It was delicious, I can tell you. And wonderful amazing things happened afterwards; I did wonder if he put something strange in there but… nah, he wouldn’t. That’s all in the book though. Not the bit about me wondering, that just occurred to me right now. But the wonderful, amazing things. Anyway, I digress. I’m here to tell you how to make Dan’s Mouth-Melting, Tummy-Tingling Lasagna!
Here’s what you need to serve you and three of your best friends…
~Eight to ten fresh Lasagne sheets, whether home-made or shop-bought. Really, fresh makes ALL the difference.
For the filling:~500 grams of lean mince (I like steak mince, personally)~1 onion, finely chopped~two tins of chopped tomatoes~two generous tablespoonfuls of tomato puree/concentrate~two garlic cloves, crushed or slices~one stick of celery, finely chopped~one carrot, diced~two good quality beef stock cubes (I know, I sound like a snob, but the quality of the stock really makes the Lasagna great!)~herbs: parsley, basil, oregano, dried or fresh; use generously to taste~salt and pepper~a small teaspoon of ground cinnamon ~a dash of maple syrup (yes, you read that right!)~a dash of heat, whether from a small diced chilli, dried chilli powder or hot smoky paprika powder (my favorite); if you haven’t got any of those in the house, a few drops of Tabasco sauce will do~oh, and I nearly forgot: a generous glass of lovely red wine, yes, yes, yes!
To assemble the lasagna:~a medium size pot of half-fat crème fraiche~as much cheese as you like in your Lasagne, grated or sliced (Cheddar, Mozzarella, Gouda, Monterey Jack or any other good melting cheese will be great; you can always use a combination of several)~a small helping of grated Parmesan cheese for the very top of your Lasagna~Milk
…and here’s what you do:
In a large pan, fry the onion in some olive oil until they’re turning glassy, then add the celery, garlic and carrots. Add the mince in small helpings, allowing to brown. Some people like their mince really quite crispy; sometimes I go there, but most often I just make sure it’s all browned all over. Then pour on the tinned tomatoes; if you feel two lots isn’t enough, add another tin. This is all about your taste and your preferences!
Mix well, then stir in the tomato puree and add the stock cubes. (I use the gellified variety and they’re great!!). Add the herbs and spices, the bay leaf and the red wine and bring to a boil. Immediately turn down the heat, cover and leave to simmer for at least an hour, stirring occasionally
About twenty minutes before you want to start cooking, turn on your oven to about 180 centigrade/350 Fahrenheit.
Then you’re ready to assemble your Lasagna. Choose a suitably-sized, oven-proofed dish. By suitably sized I mean a dish big enough to accommodate your Lasagna sheets, but not so big that all the liquid runs out from your Lasagna and pools in the bottom of the dish away from the pasta. It also needs to be reasonably deep… You know what I mean! J If using shop-bought fresh Lasagna sheets, follow the instructions on the packet; some need soaking in boiling water for a few minutes, others are ready to go. And here’s what you do next.
Put a small glob of olive oil in the bottom of your dish. Put in the first Lasagna sheet. Pour on a tiny bit of milk, then put the next sheet on top. Now ladle on a generous helping of your mince-sauce-filling. Top with a few spoonfuls of crème fraiche and a handful of cheese. Place the next Lasagna sheet on top, pour on a bit of milk, place another sheet on top, and then add more meat filling. Repeat until you run out of sheets and/or your dish is full! When you’ve used the last sheet, put a bit more of your meat filling on top (be sure to save some for this purpose!) then add generous amounts of crème fraiche, lots and lots of cheese and a sprinkling of parmesan. Awesome!
Put in the oven and bake for about 20 to 30 minutes. There’s no hard and fast rule here, everything depends on your pasta as the sauce is already cooked and hot. After 20 minutes, try poking a knife in the middle; if it goes through easily, everything is bubbling merrily even in the middle, and you get the sense the pasta is cooked, you can probably eat. If you meet crunchy resistance, cook for another few minutes. Lovely!
