Okay, so I know that you see in the news or hear the awfu...

Okay, so I know that you see in the news or hear the awful stories about all the crazy creeper freaks out on the internet...but I have to say, I've met some of the most wonderful, amazing, funny, hysterical, sweet, smartassed, and you name it people ever.  I'm a tiny bit sad that very few of these people will I ever meet in person, and I have become so attached to them!  Other authors, bloggers, readers, publishers :) who understand at least some of what goes on inside my head! LOL People who I can be myself with, dirty mouth and all and it's okay!  People that get that I fall in love with my characters, people who encourage me to want to write even more!

So, with common sense on my side as well as a tech savvy husb, I forge friendships with people that are amazing and I wouldn't want to go back to the days before the internet.  I can't imagine how lonely writing was back not so many years ago.  It's a new day, where with just a few clicks someone is right there telling you that line was really funny, or that hero is to die for.  Somewhere when writer's block strikes, any number of people can bring you out of it.  A place where you can support one another's work so easily.  It's amazing.  I wish you all the best, whether writing, blogging, publishing or reading...I wouldn't be here, having the time of my life without you!

I've made such good friends, I am grateful for all of you :)

Hugs,
A

I was able to do an advance reading for Keri Ford's lates...

I was able to do an advance reading for Keri Ford's latest book, Rough Ride (on sale now).  Below is my 10 star review!  Have a great weekend.Hugs, A

OMG!  Hot, hot, hot!  Just like the cover!  Whew!  The continuation is finally here!  I fell in love with Keri Ford’s books a few months ago.  Her leading men are always smokin’ and her women just never have a chance, or vice versaJ.  I had been dying to get a hold of her new series Roughnecks ever since I read the last word of Chasing Her Trail.  I love how the characters in the Roughnecks series are connected to the Uninhibited in Apple Trail, Arkansas series.  I’m one that likes knowing more to the story even after the book is finished.Lane Iverson is a man’s man, strong and works hard.  But like they say, the harder they fight, the harder they fall.  But he’s got a secret that keeps him hurting, and only the right person is going save him from himself.Gretchen has loved well and lost.  But she’s got a heart of gold and sees a chance at happiness again in Lane.  I loved how she used the best weapon in a women’s arsenal to bring the man down—good old fashioned home cooking.  (Well, maybe the second best.) Their chemistry is magnetic and I love how Keri’s books grab the reader from the first page.  The sparks start flying instantly and you get to go along for the ride.       On a scale of 1 – 5, I give Rough Ride about a 10! [image error]

So I have a small spoiler from RTL - Carter's Treasure; but I just had to brag on my husband....

First... the excerpt from the book....

****

“I have to do sound testing here in a little while, but I want to give you something. I meant to as soon as I saw you last night, but I got so excited to see you again—I forgot.”
He sat her on his couch and she tucked her legs up underneath her, trying to calm herself. She was the world’s biggest child when it came to surprises and holidays. She watched as he crossed to the kitchen counter. When he turned, he held out the small green velvet box tied with a satin bow.
“You didn’t have to get me anything, Carter.”
“It will make me feel better.”
She tried not to grin nervously at what that meant. Reaching up a timid hand, she took the box from him and waited until he sat back down beside her.
“Come on. Open it.” He smiled.
Molly slowly pulled the end of the ribbon and the bow fell apart. With the box still in her hand, Carter opened it for her. She tried to see the beautiful necklace, but looking through the tears made it hard to see the little platinum and diamond cross pendant.
“It’s beautiful, Carter. Thank you.”
Carter took the box and removed the necklace himself. Molly held her hair up and turned so he could put it on for her. “Na. It’s selfish on my part, really. I don’t like the thought of you doing what you do on a bike without a little piece of me with you.”
She turned back to face him, her fingertips on the cross. Carter reached up with his thumb to wipe the tears rolling down her cheeks.
****

Now... if you look to the picture I labeled "Molly's cross"... that IS Molly's cross.  When I wrote the book, I just described what I saw in my head.  My sweet husband took those words and searched until he found it.  Today he surprised me with this necklace... Thank you for supporting me and my dream.  I love the symbolism behind the grand gesture... thank you from the bottom of my heart.....

Good morning friends! :)I've been tagged by K.E. Sax...

Good morning friends! :)

I've been tagged by K.E. Saxon with Melissa Smith's Seventh Deadly Plague! It's actually not as bad as it sounds (thank heavens!!)

Here are the basic rules.

Go to page 77 of your current MS. Go to line 7. Copy down the next 7 sentences–lines or paragraphs–and post them as they’re written. No cheating. Tag 7 other authors. Let them know.
*****

“Well, if your idea of hot looks like a boy, then okay.”
Carter turned to face her as they sat at the little plastic table. He squeezed her leg again and rubbed her arm with his other hand. He gave her a sweet smile. “You do not look like a boy, you’re ripped. I mean seriously, you’re muscular and toned from head to toe.”
“Yeah, and have no boobs. I’m not stupid, guys like big boobs.”
“You have no body fat on you. You’re not going to have big boobs, I know you know that.”
“Well still.”

*****

That's just awesome!  OMG, I'm still laughing at myself!  Now, like any good plague it says to pass it on!  Okay,,, so here are the 7 authors I'm tagging:

A.L. Jackson
Blue Remy
Mandy Baggot
Nicky Wells
Garry Kassay
Linn B. Halton
Nancy S. Thompson

Have fun all! xxoo
P.S.  Thanks to KE Saxon for including me on this! How fun ;) muwah!

So spring is coming in with bang here in KS! :)  And...

So spring is coming in with bang here in KS! :)  And with it.... ahhh motocross season! YES!

We were able to run down to OKLA last weekend and ride the sand dunes, another past time of ours.  Of course the bigger the group the better, and several of our family members were able to go.  I just can't tell you how much fun it is to get the kids all together, the camping, riding, cooking out!  So so so much fun!  Although we missed part of our group who was unable to go.  That whole having a baby the day before kinda took priority! LOL Welcome baby K, can't wait to get you into gear girl!

There was the email I had to send to my editor and pub and tell them I sorta tweaked my wrists and one arm after trying to follow my husb through the trails....Hitting something wrong in 3rd gear just sucks! LOL but I was okay and continued with edits thanks to my mi-fi! LOL Seriously.. go ride and then go write... it was the best!

Of course, I didn't not plan on having to put myself between my kids and 3 crazy ass freaks drag racing straight at us --  UGH.. who does that?  They waited until we were halfway across the open space and took off.  I'm telling myself they were drunk - pretty sad as it was 11:00 in the morning!  Needless to say, they missed us by about 2 feet or so,, (yeah, to damn close for my comfort!)

Anywho.. onto better news... its the first race of the season for little guy is this weekend and what's a motomom to do???  Well, there's the toyhauler to get ready, blankets washed up, snacks stashed etc... but the most important.. having his lucky gear washed up.  We only have how many sets, but no we gotta have the one set!  That's okay... It's hanging to dry right now!

I hope you all have sunshine this weekend and if you're riding... be safe!

Much Love,
A

Oh.. and P.S.!!!!!!  Edits are going amazing! Cover is designed if you haven't already seen it. Release date for Racing to Love - Carter's Treasure is 6/7/12...   and NOT only do I have the most wonderful, fabulous, amazing publisher ever (Sapphire Star Publishing)... my editor.... the woman walks on water as far as I'm concerned...... I would never have been able to do this all without her.  I love you A........

OMG! You can't make this shit up! LOL

So.... tonight I was sitting out in the parking lot of the tumble gym (it's an hour from home so,, yeah-I just sit!).  So here I sit, in the car, laptop on my lap, writing away.  In this edit/rewrite I'm changing a lot, and I'm really into this scene.  Now keep in mind two things... 1 - I HATE suspense. Can't handle it, don't like to read it, don't watch it on TV..  And 2--it's very windy in KS right now (VERY!)

So.. back to my story.. so I'm in the middle of this scene which has turned somewhat suspenseful - I KNOW! Crazy right.  All of the sudden something hits my car door - LOUDLY! I screamed bloody freaking murder!  And sat there - staring at the crazy lady staring back at me!  She scared the crap out of me and then stands there waiting for me to roll down the window!

Of course it was nice of her and all to apologize for the wind catching her door as she exited her car and it went slamming into mine.  But I wasn't yet breathing at this point and just sat there, looking stupid and my heart racing ninty-nothing! LOL

So there you go..... another day in my life.

Hugs,
A

P.S----Thanks to all that voted, the cover was shot this week by my friend Heidi Cantrel --- the color of roses.... RED!! :)  xxooooo
