Misplaced Princess - Mari Carr & Lexxie Couper
It's Release Day for Mari Carr & Lexxie Couper!!!!! This has been a much awaited book for me, see below and find out what I mean!!
Misplaced PrincessMari Carr & Lexxie Couper
Foreign Affairs, Book One
Annie Prince has impetuously flown halfway ’round the world to visit a sexy cowboy she met online—only to find herself stranded in Sydney. Seems she and Dylan crossed wires, and he’s on his way to New York. His twin, Hunter, saves the day and whisks her back to the family cattle station. Hunter’s as easy on the eyes as Dylan, and even easier to talk to. Annie might have flown to Oz to meet one brother, but soon sparks are flying with the other.
Hunter considered Dylan a dumb arse for jetting off to America for some stranger—until he met Annie. Turns out the New Yorker is a smart, funny, hard-working jillaroo…and hotter than the Aussie desert. Hunter’s not normally one to poach his brother’s women, but he can’t keep his hands, lips, tongue and other body parts off this sexy city girl.
When raging lust leads to emotional attachment, where does that leave Annie and Hunter when her vacation comes to an end—or when Dylan finds out?
By reading any further, you are stating that you are at least 18 years of age. If you are under the age of 18, it is necessary to exit this site.

Hunter ran his finger down the pretty blonde’s arm, enjoying the flirting and easy banter. He’d hit the bar after seeing his idiot brother off at his gate. They’d flown the station helicopter to Sydney, leaving so early this morning it had still been dark. Hunter had a couple of hours to kill while he waited for the flight mechanic to refuel the chopper and clear him for takeoff.“So you live on a cattle station?” the blonde asked. He’d forgotten her name the second she’d said it. One of these days he was going to have to learn to pay attention to details like that.“Yep. Farpoint Creek. My family’s owned it forever. Established it back in the 1800s.”The woman feigned interest, but Hunter could see the disdain in her eyes. She was clearly a city girl and the idea of living out whoop whoop in the Outback was less than appealing to her. Lucky for both of them, he wasn’t considering taking this game of slap and tickle out of the airport. She leaned closer, accidentally brushing the side of his arm with her breast. They’d started their flirting at different tables. Then he’d joined her. After a few minutes of sexual innuendoes, he’d given up his seat across the table and moved over to share her side of the booth.“You know, I’m a member of the Qantas Club.”“Is that right?” he asked.“I was actually thinking of heading over there and freshening up before my flight. They have showers in the lounge.”“Showers, eh? Bit bloody fancy.”She dragged her hand along his leg, starting at his knee and working her way up. He liked a woman who knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to grab it. His dick twitched when her hand crept closer.“Wish I had someone to wash my back,” she purred. He started to offer his sudsy services, but something on the PA caught his attention. “What did she say?”“What did who say?”The PA announcement was repeated. Dylan Sullivan, please meet your party at the customer service desk located at terminal one. What the hell? Dylan wasn’t here. At least, he bloody well shouldn’t be.Hunter reluctantly pushed the woman away while silently cursing his brother. “Sorry, love, but I gotta go do something.” Dylan would pay dearly for costing him a shower with this beauty in the high flyer’s club. He retrieved his hat from the table and put it back on his head.“You’re leaving?”Hunter nodded regretfully. “Yeah. Afraid it can’t be helped.” He threw enough cash on the table to cover both of their drinks and a generous tip for the waitress. “Sorry.”He walked toward terminal one, trying to figure out why Dylan wasn’t jetting away from Sydney, getting closer to making one of the dumbest mistakes of his life. He’d loaded his brother on a plane headed for New York over an hour ago.Hunter had spent most of their morning trek to Sydney trying to convince Dylan that taking off halfway around the world to hook up with some broad he’d met on one of those stupid online dating services made him look pretty desperate. He’d also pointed out that precious little could come of this trip, besides getting a piece of New York tail. Dylan lived and worked on Farpoint Creek cattle station. In Australia. Trying to hook up with some American chick wasn’t exactly practical.Dylan, ever the romantic idiot, seemed to think Annie had the potential to be his soul mate. Jesus, his brother had actually used those words—soul mate—and was supposed to be headed to New York to prove that asinine fact.Had Dylan missed his plane? Hunter couldn’t figure out how. They’d made it to the departure gate in plenty of time. And if so, why would he page himself rather than ask the customer service rep to page Hunter? Maybe Dylan had given his own name as well and the lady had fucked it up.He glanced at the crowd standing around the service desk as he walked toward the terminal. He and Dylan weren’t lacking in the height department. If his dickhead brother was around, he sure as hell wasn’t standing up; he’d tower over these people. Add the fact he and Dylan hardly ever took off their bloody hats and Hunter should be able to spot him a mile away.He started to get in line at the desk to ask who’d paged Dylan when a woman walked up to him.“You’re here!” she said.Hunter tried to place the woman’s face. She looked vaguely familiar. “I am?” His mother claimed he’d been cursed with a sarcastic streak as wide as Farpoint since the day he was born. While his mum found it annoying, Hunter had never found a good reason to curb that personality trait. The pretty woman smiled. “I was starting to worry.”Before he could tell her she had the wrong bloke and should go ahead and hang on to her anxiety, she took a step closer and threw her arms around him.The hard-on Hunter had managed to batten down as he’d walked away from his potential shower partner reemerged when her firm breasts brushed against his chest. Bloody hell. Who knew the airport was such a great place to pick up women? He might have to fly to Sydney International more often.Never one to pass up an opportunity, he accepted the embrace, loosely wrapping his arms around her back. The lovely lady was just the right height for him and had some sexy curves. He liked a woman with meat on her bones. She pulled away slightly and he started to release her, but she kept her arms wrapped around him and upped the ante, kissing him.It started as a sweet, friendly kiss, but Hunter wasn’t having any of that shit. She smelled and tasted too good. He grasped her soft face and held her close. He turned his head and deepened the kiss, pressing her lips open so he could get an even better taste. He was thrilled when her tongue met his halfway. Jesus. This chick could kiss.

Six Sentence Sunday is here again... here's #2 in Racing to Love - Carter's Treasure
Last week Carter saw a glimpse of Molly and his heart AND hormones started racing. So here's Molly's immediate reaction to him....enjoy and have a great weekend!
He had Hollywood good looks that could have landed himon TV, and gorgeous ice-blue eyes with long eyelashes that would make any girls heart startpounding on the spot. He must have known she was staring at him from behind her sunglasses, because he flashed her this killer smile that did something funny to her stomach. She swallowed hard. She didn’t notice guys except to figure out which ones to avoid, and she had no idea why she was suddenly fixated on this one. “Um, what did you say,James?”Then the guy winked at her.
Yeah.... ah Carter... he is THAT freaking gorgeous! xxoohugs,A

Six Sentence Sunday... #1
Upon the recommendation of my friend KE Saxon, I have decided to start participating in Six Sentence Sunday...
I don't want to do my WIP because :) it's book #4 in the series and that would be a tad bit confusing to say the least! LOL So here are a few words from Book #1 in the Racing to Love Series, Carter's Treasure... on sale now.
Enjoy and have a great Sunday...we'll head to the track soon for practice!! :)
*****
Carter inclined his head to listen to Brody and Joey’s conversation. He’d been silently
praying she wasn’t on the phone with a boyfriend. His heart wasn’t the only thing that jumped
when Brody confirmed it was his dad. He shifted in his sudden discomfort that wasn’t entirely
unpleasant.
Damn.
He was going to have to get himself under control. His mind and body were getting
away from him, and he hadn’t even met her yet.

The Day After....
What a day! I had waited for that moment for so long. And I truly can't believe how nervous and sick to my stomach I was. Putting your work out there for all to see and judge, something you have painstakingly put your entire heart and soul into, your 'baby' as I call it. But both Amy and Katie were so comforting and my SSP family and long-distance twitter family made it special. I was posted on my idol's blog!! And on top of that my husb threw me an incredible launch party that my friends and family all came to. It was so special. THEN on top of that at the end of the night I got to share in my Twinny's good news. The day was soooo perfect, and what more could a girl ask for.

Well,,,T minus 1 hour and 30 minutes!
6/7..tomorrow..AKA the big day I've been waiting for! What a year it has been. I started writing RTL Carter's Treasure the first week of May 2011. It's now 13 months later, it releases tomorrow, I have book 2 at Sapphire Star Pub waiting it's turn, I have finished writing book 3 and I'm reading through it one last time before sending it to SSP and I have started book 4. I'm a little dizzy! I have to say, short of getting married and having my kids, it's been the hardest and BEST year of my life!
Thank you to everyone that's been along for the ride. My husband, kids, Amy & Katie of SSP, Blue, Mari, KE, Jane, Chris, Kim and all my new found friends along the way. I have a feeling the next year is going to be one hell of a ride, so hold on tight!
Love you all!

Mari Carr; Because It's True
One of the greatest things that has happened to me in my "new career" as a writer is that I've gotten to know some of my most admired and favorite authors. My ALL-TIME FAVORITE is Mari Carr. I'm so excited that little old me gets to help celebrate her newest release today!!!!!! Because It's True is out this morning, and seriously...a cop and a cowboy--need I say more? LOL I'm honored to have Mari's kind words, support and encouragement as I find myself and my way in this new world of writing and publishing. She's an amazing author and I know you'll love her books as much as I do. It kills me when I think of just how many books she's written and how she comes up with them all, each one so different but they're all so HOTTTTT!!!! :) Enjoy, I know I will...I've already bought my copy! Love, A
Sometimes there are only two choices. Love…or leave.
Jacob James falls for Rodney the moment the New York City cop crash lands into his far-too-predictable ranch life. The sexy city slicker is everything a lonely Wyoming cowboy could ever dream of. When Rodney is shot in the line of duty, however, their off-the-charts attraction turns unexpectedly cool. Jacob offers the only thing he has left—friendship.
All Rodney can think about—besides his cowboy lover—is getting back to his job. But what good is a cop who can’t fire a gun? While he’s grateful for Jacob’s support through months of grueling physical therapy, how can he offer anything more when his own future is so uncertain?
When he’s finally cleared to return to work in New York, Rodney thought it would be the happiest day of his life. Except reaching his goal means leaving Jacob behind…and a future he never thought he wanted. Until now…
Warning: New York City cop meets Wyoming cowboy. Come on. You know that’s going to be hot.
ExcerptPrologue Searing pain roared through Rodney’s arm as black spots danced before his eyes. More gunfire pounded into the wall of the building behind him, pelting him with shards of shattered brick. He’d known something was wrong the second he walked out of the bank. Hell, he’d had a premonition all morning that something would happen, that everything was about to change. He knew better than to ignore his gut feelings. “Rodney!” Fuck. Bridget was out in the open. He forced himself to remain conscious despite the agonizing fire currently raging through his body. He watched Mark throw himself on top of her, shielding her from the gunfire. “Get her to the fucking car!” Rodney yelled. Jesus. If Bridget was killed, it would be his fault. His. It was his job to protect her. Bridget crawled closer. He reached out with his uninjured arm. “Bridget, take this. Get to New York.” He pressed the flash drive they’d spent the last month of their lives searching for into her hand. It was the key to putting the judge whose henchman was currently trying to kill them away forever. “I’m not leaving you,” Bridget insisted. Rodney took a deep breath, praying for the strength to get her out of harm’s way. Mercifully, Mark grabbed her, dragging her to the truck. Please let her make it. He sighed with relief, the sound coming out as a harsh shudder when he watched the truck with Bridget ensconced inside pull away.“Bridget,” he whispered. Strong hands gripped him, shocking him. What the fuck? He started to kick out, but the last of his strength slowly drained away. “It’s me, Rod.” Christ. Jake. No. “Get down,” Rodney said, the words sounding more like a bark than his normal voice. “Get inside!” Jacob didn’t reply. Instead he lifted Rodney’s upper body with firm hands beneath his armpits and dragged him to the entrance of the bank. The movement was excruciating and bile rose to Rodney’s throat. Waves of nausea caused by the red hot poker lodged in his arm enveloped him. He’d been shot. It was a possibility he’d faced every day as he patrolled the streets of New York City as a cop. Who would have thought this sleepy town of Saratoga, Wyoming would be the place to bring him down? The gunshots had ceased with Bridget’s escape. Jacob laid him gently on the floor of the bank’s lobby. He saw a security guard standing next to his friend, talking on the phone. He would have grinned if he hadn’t been in so much pain. If he was going to die, he couldn’t think of a better last sight than Jacob’s gorgeous face. Sirens sounded in the distance. “Bridget,” Rodney whispered. Jacob knelt next to him. “Matt and Mark got her away. She’ll be fine, Rod. And so will you. Just hang on, man.” She was safe. Jake was safe. Rodney let those comforting thoughts permeate the haze of pain, though he still couldn’t let go of the premonition. Everything is changing. His eyes drifted closed, his body shutting down. They were safe. But was he?
