Billy Joel Shares Rare Photo of Family
Billy Joel celebrated a major milestone in his family this week, sharing a rare glimpse into his private life with fans. The 75-year-old music icon posted a touching tribute on Instagram to mark his daughter Della Rose’s 10th birthday.
“Happy 10th birthday Della Rose🌹,” Joel wrote alongside a family photo on Instagram. “We are so proud of your sweet nature, empathy for others and endless love. You see everything through caring eyes. We could not ask for anything more. We all love you beyond measure.”
The post struck a sentimental chord as Joel reflected on how quickly the years have passed. “How did we get to 10 years already? It seems like just yesterday you were running around the house looking for ‘Piano Man,’” he added, referencing his signature hit.

Known for keeping his personal life out of the spotlight, Joel rarely shares images of his wife Alexis Roderick and their two daughters, Della Rose and Remy Anne. This post marked one of the few times fans have seen the family together in recent years.
Joel’s marriage to Roderick, a former equestrian and accomplished businesswoman, has been one of the more private chapters in the performer’s storied life. The couple wed in 2015 and welcomed Della Rose that same year, followed by Remy Anne in 2017.

Facedown, Fell — and Fighting BackBehind the celebratory post is a challenging reality: Billy Joel has paused his career due to a brain condition known as Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH), which has affected his hearing, vision, and balance. The diagnosis led him to cancel all upcoming concert dates across North America, the UK, and Canada.
Although Joel says the condition “sounds a lot worse than what I’m feeling,” he’s undergoing physical therapy and focusing on recovery, according to the Los Angeles Times. Music Radar reported that his longtime creative director recently expressed optimism, noting that “all arrows point to him making full recovery." Whether or not he’ll return to touring remains uncertain—but fans are hoping his stage lights aren’t out for good.
Despite his diagnosis, Joel’s recent HBO Max documentary, Billy Joel: And So It Goes, showcased his resilience and spirit, reinforcing why his music continues to resonate

Sparkling water brands and varieties are popping up all over the supermarket. And the flavor combinations become a bit more unique with each drop. Mocktails are also having a moment, and all of the classic versions that come along with them.
Aldi’s latest beverage drop combines the love of mocktails and sparkling water with their Zero Sugar Mocktail Sparkling Water, and it comes in three varieties: Pina Colada, Strawberry Margarita and Mojito.
The 8-pack of 12-ounce cans will sell for $3.55. The ingredients list is made up of solely carbonated water and natural flavors and they’re non-alcoholic, zero sugar and zero calories.

We’re guessing these have been pretty popular, as this isn’t the first time Aldi is releasing Mocktail Sparkling Water. A Reddit post from June discusses the Mojito variety, and the poster stated they were “pleasantly surprised how good it tasted. 0 calories, 0 sugar, all natural flavoring, and about $0.45 per 12 ounce can. Hopefully, my Aldi will continue to stock it because I want to try the Piña colada next week”. And “It’s yum”, a commenter replied.

One person noted, “It's not sweet, it's similar to La Croix! I really like them, especially the strawberry margarita”. And another fan exclaimed, “I personally loved the “Mojito” flavor and thought it was nice and refreshing! But I also drink a lot of sparkling water which is pretty much all it is, lol”. While many Reddit users were smitten with the cocktail and sparkling water mash-up, others didn’t care for it.
If you’re a fan of sparkling water and the flavors of these classic cocktails, this variety might be worth a try. Like most Aldi Finds, they’ll only be available for a limited-time and drop between August 13 and 19.

Travis Kelce Reacts to Taylor Swift Album Announcement
On early Tuesday morning at 12:12 a.m., Taylor Swift officially announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. And it sounds like her superstar boyfriend Travis Kelce is quite excited about his girlfriend's latest release.
Just a couple of hours before Taylor Swift officially announced her new album on her website, the New Heights podcast, hosted by Travis and his brother Jason, announced that Taylor would be a special guest on the next episode of the podcast, presumably to discuss her upcoming album.
"Taylor's about to do a [freaking] podcast! NEW EPISODE WEDS 7PM ET," the official New Heights account shared in an X post on Monday night.
After Taylor announced her album, the New Heights official account shared a teaser clip from the upcoming episode in which Taylor shared the new album cover with Jason.

"This is my brand new album," Taylor said, holding up what appears to be a vinyl album cover that was blurred for the camera. "The Life of A Showgirl."
Jason quickly expressed his excitement at the announcement, but he certainly wasn't the only one.
Travis also offered his reaction to the upcoming album with a pretty clear response of his own.
"TS12!" Travis exclaimed in the video.
Since they began dating nearly two years ago, Travis has done nothing but support Taylor, graciously answering questions about her during interviews, speaking highly of her on his podcast, and even attending multiple concerts in support of her.
Given his extensive support of Taylor in previous months, it's not exactly surprising that he is once again supporting her ahead of the release of her latest album.

"Taylor's about to do a [freaking] podcast! NEW EPISODE WEDS 7PM ET," the official New Heights account shared in an X post on Monday night.

"This is my brand new album," Taylor said, holding up what appears to be a vinyl album cover that was blurred for the camera. "The Life of A Showgirl."
"TS12!" Travis Kelce exclaimed.

Ryan Reynolds Turns Heads With 'Avengers' Post, Sending 'Deadpool' Fans Into a Frenzy
When Marvel released the lengthy list of names and superheroes cast in Avengers: Doomsday, there were many noteworthy stars absent from the roughly six-hour livestream. Among them was Ryan Reynolds’ beloved, foul-mouthed superhero, Deadpool.
While Marvel has made it known that the list released wasn't the full cast for Avengers: Doomsday or the follow-up 2027 film Avengers: Secret Wars, it's left fans speculating about who else could be in the mix. And with plenty of buzz surrounding Reynolds as a potential inclusion, the Deadpool actor threw fuel all over that fire with a post in the early hours on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
Ryan Reynolds' Cryptic 'Avengers' Post Leaves 'Deadpool' Fans Crossing Their FingersThere's been virtually no updates from Marvel about the cast since the initial release, even with the movie's filming officially underway. So, when Reynolds dropped a cryptic post featuring the Avengers logo on Instagram, the intrigue immediately skyrocketed—and his caption only sparked more buzz.
"WHAT," Reynolds said in the caption, with a side-eye emoji.
View this post on InstagramA post shared by Ryan Reynolds (@vancityreynolds)
Considering the timing of the post, as actors have seemingly made it clear they've been in-and-out of filming for Avengers: Doomsday, and the obvious photo selection, it's hard to envision that something isn't on the horizon for the Deadpool star.
Fans All Reacted to Reynolds' 'Avengers' Post With the Same Optimistic Comments

It didn't take long for Reynolds' social media post to go viral, as it topped roughly 80,000 likes within the first 25-30 minutes of going up. And not surprisingly, the bulk of the responses from fans were highlighted by visions of Deadpool joining the Avengers in the 2026 film.
"Don’t do that. Don’t give me hope," joked one fan with a crying laughing emoji.
"If you are saying what I think you’re saying, I’m actually gonna scream," said another optimistic fan.
"Avengers x Deadpool confirmed?!" read another reply.
Ryan Reynolds on Instagram 👀👀👀 Deadpool in Doomsday?!?!?! #AvengersDoosmday pic.twitter.com/OpGfghJI8G
— Vincent (@VGotGame) August 12, 2025
"Plz tell me that Deadpool & Wolverine are returning for Avengers: Doomsday! I need to know!" excitedly responded another fan.
"PG-13 Deadpool will definitely be a Curveball," added one viewer, citing the rating of Avengers: Doomsday.
"Is Deadpool joining the Avengers now? This is going to be epic..." replied another fan.
Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool Among Top Names Absent From Initial 'Avengers: Doomsday' Cast ListAlthough Reynolds' popular character was left off the initial cast list reveal from Marvel, he was far from the only big name missing.
Among the other high-profile actors/superheroes that weren't initially listed on the Avengers: Doomsday cast were Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Chris Pratt (Peter Quill/Star-Lord), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Don Cheadle (War Machine) and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), among others.
The list of surprising names not revealed for the highly anticipated movie is arguably just as long as the first cast list. Marvel has yet to give any official update on how many of the above names, and any others that were absent, will be in the newest addition to the Avengers series.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to be released in theaters on Dec. 18, 2026.

Taylor Swift Makes Telling Move After Album Announcement
On early Tuesday morning at 12:12 a.m., Taylor Swift officially announced her newest album, The Life of a Showgirl, her 12th studio album. In the moments that followed the announcement, Taylor made a rather mysterious move.
Early Tuesday morning, mysterious billboards popped up in both New York City and Nashville after the announcement that led to a new Spotify playlist created by Taylor Swift.
The playlist, which was originally created two weeks ago and went public shortly after Swift's album announcement, was called "And, baby, that's show business for you."
The photo for the playlist included a sparkly mint green background with an orange "T.S." on top, with the periods replaced with stars.
The playlist included 22 Taylor Swift songs from various previous albums.
Here is the list of songs on the playlist:
22All You Had To Do Was StayBad BloodBlank SpaceDancing With Our Hands TiedDelicateDon't Blame MeEnd GameGorgeousHow To Get The GirlI Did Something BadI Knew You Were Trouble.King Of My HeartMessage In a BottleNew Romantics...Ready For It?Shake It OffSo It Goes...StyleWe Are Never Getting Back TogetherWildest DreamsWonderlandIt's worth noting, as Pop Base pointed out in a post on X, that all of the songs in this playlist were produced by iconic Swedish record producer and songwriter Max Martin, who has not worked with Taylor Swift since she released her Reputation album back in 2017.
This is a pretty telling move as it suggests that the upcoming album will be produced by Martin, giving a hint about how it could sound.
Martin has become iconic for the pop albums he has helped write and produce, working with artists like Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Pink, Katy Perry, Usher, Kesha, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Justin Timberlake, Selena Gomez, The Weeknd, and more.
It will certainly be interesting to hear what Swift's album ultimately sounds like, but it seems likely it will be a pop-heavy album based on Martin's previous work.
'Weapons' Zach Cregger on Why He's Directing 'Resident Evil': It's 'Going to Be Awesome'
Director Zach Cregger is surely enjoying the moment as his newly released film Weapons earns rave reviews amid a stellar start at the box office. But while the newest horror/mystery film continues to its ever-growing hype, Cregger is also already locked in on his next project—Resident Evil.
Cregger's dive into the popular franchise is bound to be different than those seen in the past, which fans of Weapons and the 2022 film Barbarian have come to expect. But while Cregger's fresh take on Resident Evil is bound to be unique, his reason for taking on the project is as relatable as anyone could imagine.
Zach Cregger's Reason for Doing 'Resident Evil'? He Think It's Going to Be 'F***ing Awesome'There's something refreshing about brutal honesty from those in the film and television industries. Although there are several things that grabbed Cregger's interest about the new Resident Evil, his main reason seems to be a telling connection to why his work is so well-received by fans.

Gilbert Flores/Getty Images
During a recent interview with Ringer Movies, Cregger spoke about the decision to direct Resident Evil next, and admitted that it's a story he would've wanted to write even if he hadn't landed on the film.
"I've never seen a Resident Evil movie," Cregger admitted. "I've never seen one, and I played the games obsessively. This is a story that comes from a healthy creative place. "
"This is a story that I would’ve wanted to write whether I got Resident Evil the IP or not. I just so happened to be able to have these Resident Evil people be down. So I get to play in that sandbox and I'm honored to and I'm stoked to get a story that I actually love."
Cregger then summed it up with a perfect one-liner that's bound to resonate with viewers, stating that he's doing Resident Evil because he thinks it's "going to be f***ing awesome."
"I don't need to do this, I'm in a healthy enough place where I can go make a different original movie and it's fine," Cregger added. "I’m doing it because I think this movie is going to be fucking awesome."
It's hard to argue with that reasoning.
Zach Cregger Explains That 'Resident Evil' Will Feature 'a Different Story'
Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images
While the Resident Evil film franchise is beloved by its longtime followers, Cregger recently explained how he'll bring something different and unique to the approach.
During an interview with Inverse, Cregger explained that the movie is a "love letter to the [Resident Evil] games."
"Let me say this: this is not breaking the rules of the games," Cregger tells Inverse. "I am the biggest worshiper of the games, so I’m telling a story that is a love letter to the games and follows the rules of the games."
"It is obedient to the lore of the games, it’s just a different story," Cregger continues. "I’m not going to tell Leon’s story, because Leon’s story is told in the games. [Fans] already have that."
It's an interesting approach from Cregger, and after the success of Barbarian and Weapons, there'll be no shortage of interest in the next movie release from one of the top trending directors in Hollywood.
The new Resident Evil is scheduled to be released on Sept. 18, 2026.
Taylor Swift Reveals 'Life of a Showgirl' Album Cover to Jason Kelce
At 12:12 a.m. ET on Tuesday morning, Taylor Swift officially announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. And it looks like Jason Kelce was one of the first people to get a look at the album cover.
Before announcing her new album, the New Heights podcast, hosted by Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, announced that Taylor would be appearing on Wednesday evening's edition of the podcast.
"Taylor's about to do a [freaking] podcast! NEW EPISODE WEDS 7PM ET," the official New Heights account shared in an X post on Monday night.
The post included a teaser video showing Taylor and Travis interacting on the podcast.
"Such a nice color on you," Taylor told Travis in the video, complimenting the blue color of his sweatshirt.
"Yes, I know," Travis responded. "It's the color of your eyes, sweetie. It's why we match so well."
With that, Taylor had a seven-word message for Kelce.
"We're about to do a [freaking] podcast," she said to end the teaser clip, with one of the words censored.
Just a few hours after Swift was confirmed as a guest on the podcast, she announced her new album, allowing fans to pre-order it on her website. While she revealed the name of the album, she did not reveal the album cover – at least to us.
Jason Kelce, however, did get a sneak peek.

Taylor did not immediately share a release date for the album, but it's coming soon.
