2026 Honda HR-V Gets Subtle Refresh and Gen Z-Friendly Tech

Honda is giving its smallest SUV a subtle but targeted upgrade for 2026. The new HR-V, already the most popular SUV among Gen Z buyers, is getting a larger infotainment screen, a few minor design tweaks, and a bump in price across all three trims.

The biggest news for 2026 is the addition of a 9.0-inch touchscreen, which is two inches larger than last year’s model, now with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The change brings the HR-V in line with updates made to the larger 2026 CR-V and reflects Honda’s push to stay relevant with younger, tech-focused drivers.

Starting at $27,595, the base front-wheel-drive LX now costs $800 more than the outgoing model. The Sport trim runs $29,395, while the top-spec EX-L starts at $31,445. All-wheel drive can be added to any trim for an additional $1,500.

Cosmetically, changes are minimal. The 2026 HR-V is nearly identical to last year’s version, save for two new paint options—Solar Reflection Metallic and Boost Blue Pearl—as well as new wheel designs across the lineup. Sport models also get new black tailgate badging.

Interior updates include standard privacy rear glass, new silver steering-wheel spokes, front footwell lighting, and an updated climate control knob on the EX-L.

Under the hood, everything stays the same. The HR-V continues with its existing powertrain, offering no hybrid or turbocharged options, which is an area where rivals like the Toyota Corolla Cross and Hyundai Kona may still have the edge.

Still, Honda is betting the incremental updates, and tech upgrades in particular, will keep the HR-V competitive in one of the most crowded segments in the market. With 2026 models already arriving at dealerships, it won’t be long before buyers decide if a bigger screen and bolder colors are enough to keep the HR-V on top.

Christopher McDonald Praises Adam Sandler Amid 'Happy Gilmore 2' Comeback

If any actor checks in at No. 2 behind Adam Sandler for the tremendous success the original Happy Gilmore movie had, it’s Christopher McDonald, aka Shooter McGavin.

You'd be hard-pressed to find any fan of the movie who didn't either love or love to hate McDonald in the original 1996 film. McGavin was Gilmore's rival in the movie, and the two played off each other incredibly from start to finish.

Now, McDonald will return for another round, joining Happy Gilmore 2, and it's safe to assume that every fan of the original hopes to see the iconic "Shooter McGavin" celebration.

McDonald recently spoke with People about his return for the sequel, and had some specific praise for Sandler. While the longtime actor said he couldn't reveal any plot details, stating he "signed an NDA," he admitted he was "over the moon" about being asked to join Happy Gilmore 2.

The 70-year-old actor has never shied away from joking with fans and playing up his "Shooter McGavin" role in real life. McDonald even got a gold jacket at the PGA's Waste Management event in February and celebrated with fans by pulling out his iconic celebration.

This goes perfectly with McDonald telling People that he's "been an ambassador for this movie for so long, 29 years later." While he held off on giving away spoilers, McDonald did tip his cap to Sandler and Netflix, stating that "they've outdone themselves" with the movie.

“[Happy Gilmore 2 is] about family and friends and love and basically a lot of heart, which I love about Adam Sandler's movies,” McDonald said.

“What I love about Adam Sandler is his heart. He's got so much love for people... And he's done some amazing work in the last few years. So I'm very happy for him.”

It's hard to find anything much better than McDonald returning to reprise his role as McGavin, but hearing the actor's high praise for Sandler almost 30 years after their beloved on-screen rivalry is special.

‘the Boys’ Nathan Mitchell Says Season 5 Has Things That Aren’t on ‘Your Bingo Card’

It’s far from uncommon to hear actors build up the upcoming season of a show by tossing out a bold teaser or two. While the added hype will sometimes prove to be legitimate and other times falls short, if there’s any show worth jumping on the hype train with, it’s probably The Boys.

Very few shows have avoided pulling punches the way the Amazon Prime Video series does, and that's one of the reasons it's become so beloved since premiering in 2019.

However, heading into Season 5, it's an entirely different ballgame for the show that flips the script on the portrayal of superheroes. The Boys creator Eric Kripke and company decided to end things on their terms and have made Season 5 the last of the series.

Between the insane plot twists and outrageous personalities in the show, the first four seasons left fans in disbelief on far too many occasions to count. And from the sound of it, Season 5 could take all of it to an entirely new level.

During an interview with Deadline, Nathan Mitchell, who plays Black Noir in the show, had a one-liner that teased just how off-the-wall things will be.

“...There are some things that are coming in Season 5 that you’re not going to have in your bingo card," Mitchell said.

A similar sentiment was echoed by virtually the entire rest of the cast at some point during the nearly 20-minute interview, just not in quite as cryptic a fashion.

Along with a few storylines that the show is well-positioned to tie up, other significant situations are expected to unfold that are entirely up in the air. Among those topics where it's anyone's guess how they'll play out is the back-and-forth between Homelander (Antony Starr) and Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), which has been ongoing since Season 1.

Bubba Watson Got the Chance to Meet Caitlin Clark

Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is one of the most famous athletes on the planet right now. She's so famous, in fact, that some of the top athletes in other sports are going out of their way to meet her. This week, that included golf superstar Bubba Watson.

Before Tuesday night's game between the Indiana Fever and the Atlanta Dream, Bubba Watson got the opportunity to meet with Clark, and he came bearing gifts.

"I brought you a driver, wherever it went, to sign for you," Watson told Clark in a video shared by the Indiana Fever on Tuesday. "It's one of mine."

“Dream come true, not for her, but for me.” 🤣

"No way," Clark said. "Can I hold it?"

"Yeah, it's yours," Watson told the WNBA superstar. "It's for you."

The two sports stars then posed for a photo together.

"Where are we looking? There's a lot of cameras," Watson joked.

While Watson was the one to bring the gift to Clark, he clearly enjoyed the experience even more than she did and was honored to have the chance to meet with her before the game. In fact, he said it was a "dream come true."

"Dream come true, you know," Watson wrote. "For me. Not for her, but for me."

As for the game itself, the Dream got the better of the Fever, winning by a final score of 91-90. Despite the loss, Clark had a strong performance, posting 27 points and 11 assists for her second double-double of the season.

Tony Romo Thinks Travis Kelce is 'Far Less Out There' After Dating Taylor Swift

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has faced a lot of criticism ever since he began dating pop sensation Taylor Swift, especially after his statistics fell significantly in 2024. But one former quarterback and current NFL analyst seems to think Taylor has actually been the opposite of a distraction for Kelce.

Some might think that Kelce's lifestyle has gotten busier since dating arguably the most famous woman on the planet, given their overseas trips and nights out that always seem to attract attention.

However, during a recent interview with Us Weekly, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo made a very fair point as he suggested that Kelce might actually spend less time out than he did before their relationship.

“People won’t even realize this, but he’s probably doing less than he used to when he was younger,” Romo told Us Weekly. “If you get your picture taken going to dinner with your superstar girlfriend, it looks like you’re going out or something. No, he just went to dinner. Almost as if he’s married, going to dinner with his wife or something.”

The only difference is that now, as Romo points out, is that his nights out attract a lot more attention than they ever did before.

“He didn’t get photographed when he was going out with his buddies all the time,” Romo said. “He’s far less out there. He’s doing far less things than when he was younger. It’s just the fact that if you’re written about a lot and it’s not about football, some people are always going to think that it plays a role. But the truth is that it can be a net positive if you look at it closely.”

While Kelce's stats did indeed fall off significantly this past season, it sounds like Romo does not exactly subscribe to the idea that the time spent out with Taylor Swift is the reason for that.

New Photo of Shirtless Travis Kelce Has Fans in Disbelief

Following a heartbreaking loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce took a few weeks off before deciding he wanted to return for another season in 2025.

"I don't think it was my best outing. I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them, especially if you look at my track record and how I've been in years past. I want to give it a good run," he said at the time. "I've got a bad taste in my mouth on how I ended the year and how well I was playing and how accountable I was for the people around me. I love so many people in Kansas City, both in that facility and in the community."

While he recorded a career low in receiving yards during the 2024 season, Kelce managed to haul in 97 receptions to lead the team. He became just the 15th player in NFL history with at least 1,000 receptions and currently ranks third among tight ends in career receptions.

Now he's looking to head into the 2025 season in the best shape of his life and he doesn't seem to be too far off. On May 20, gossip site Deux Moi posted a carousel of photos showing a shirtless Kelce.

Fans had quite a bit to say in the comments section.

"When you just throw the razor around behind you and hope for the best 😂 I know he’s busy but he must have time for a wax if being hairless is important to him???" one fan suggested

"Like no shade but it looks like Taylor tried to wax his back and failed half way," joked another.

"Everyone commenting better check their chin for that one long, untamed hair that keeps growing back. 💅 Hair is natural my dudes," added a third.

"This is weird.. and not cause of him, for pap taking these pictures and then you for sharing them," said another.

Kansas City opens the 2025 NFL season against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 5 - a Friday.

Dave Portnoy Stands Up For Taylor Swift

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy is the head of a massive online community that caters primarily to young conservative men who like sports. However, that does not seem to be clouding his opinion of pop sensation Taylor Swift.

Over the years, Swift has not exactly been shy about sharing her political views, and that includes her staunch opposition to United States President Donald Trump. That continued last year as she officially endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.

As a result, Trump has not exactly been a big fan of hers either, publicly declaring his "hate" for Taylor Swift in a Truth Social post shortly after she officially endorsed Harris. Now, Trump seems to be suggesting that her popularity has waned.

“Has anyone noticed that since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social last week.

But Portnoy absolutely does not agree.

During an appearance on Fox Business on Tuesday morning, Portnoy made his opinion of Taylor Swift very clear as he declared that Trump was very wrong to suggest that her popularity had faded.

“I mean, he’s wrong,” Portnoy said via Brandon Contes of Awful Announcing. “Like, you can’t be more wrong about anything. Taylor Swift is as hot as she’s ever been in the streets. She hasn’t put out new music, but if she said, ‘hey, snap my fingers, I want to sell 500,000 or a million tickets in three seconds and break Live Nation, she’d do it.”

“Listen, Trump goes on a rant, something made him upset, but he couldn’t be more wrong about this if his life depended on it,” Portnoy continued. “Taylor is the number one musician in the world and there’s nobody particularly close.”

This is not the first time that Portnoy has spoken highly of Taylor Swift. And based on his vocal support of her, it's unlikely to be his last.

TSA Makes 'Troubling' Announcement After Firearm Discovery

On Tuesday, May 20 the Transportation Security Administration made a pair of troubling announcements regarding discoveries at different airports.

At Fort Wayne International Airport, TSA officers stopped a firearm from making its way onboard an airplane. This was the seventh firearm detected at FWA so far this year. Seven firearms were also detected in total in 2024.

“It’s troubling that TSA officers this year have already stopped the same number of firearms as they did in all of 2024, and the year isn’t even halfway over,” Indiana TSA Federal Security Director Aaron Batt said in a statement. “As we look ahead to our summer travel season, we strongly encourage passengers to pack smart and start with an empty bag. Bringing a firearm to the checkpoint is a careless, expensive mistake that increases risks to passengers and airport employees.”

That wasn't the only bad news from the TSA, though - and not the only bad news from the state of Indiana.

According to a statement from the TSA, officers at Indianapolis International Airport discovered four firearms at security checkpoints in separate incidents over five days, bringing the total detected at the airport to 18 this year.

“While we’re pleased that overall this year, passengers are bringing fewer firearms to IND checkpoints, these recent incidents are troubling,” Batt added in a second statement. “As we look ahead to our summer travel season, we strongly encourage passengers to pack smart and start with an empty bag. Bringing a firearm to the checkpoint is a careless, expensive mistake that increases risks to passengers and airport employees.”

The troubling news comes just days before a record number of Americans are expected to travel for Memorial Day.

According to a projection from AAA, 45.1 million Americans are expected to travel at least 50 miles from home over the Memorial Day holiday period from Thursday, May 22 to Monday, May 26. The projection from AAA is an increase of 1.4 million travelers compared to last year and breaks the previous record of 44 million people set back in 2005.

“Memorial Day weekend getaways don’t have to be extravagant and costly,” Stacey Barber, Vice President of AAA Travel said in a statement. “While some travelers embark on dream vacations and fly hundreds of miles across the country, many families just pack up the car and drive to the beach or take a road trip to visit friends. Long holiday weekends are ideal for travel because many people have an extra day off work and students are off from school.”

In-N-Out Announces Changes After New FDA Guidelines

Last month, the Food and Drug Administration announced that it would begin phasing out the use of petroleum-based synthetic dyes in food products by the end of next year. That has forced beloved burger chain In-N-Out to make some changes.

United States Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy helped spearhead an effort to remove the dyes from food products in the United States.

“For too long, some food producers have been feeding Americans petroleum-based chemicals without their knowledge or consent,” Kennedy said in a statement at the time. “These poisonous compounds offer no nutritional benefit and pose real, measurable dangers to our children’s health and development.”

“We’re restoring gold-standard science, applying common sense, and beginning to earn back the public’s trust. And, we’re doing it by working with industry to get these toxic dyes out of the foods our families eat every day.”

As a result of that announcement, In-N-Out announced this week that it will be making some changes to its menu, including the removal of artificial coloring from its Strawberry Shakes and Signature Pink Lemonade as well as the transition to a ketchup that uses real sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup.

In-N-Out Owner and President Lynsi Snyder announced the changes in a statement to Newsweek.

"We are proud to say we've made the following changes,"

Replaced Yellow 5 with Turmeric in our pickles, chilies, and spreadReplaced Red 40 with beta carotene and vegetable juice in our Strawberry Shakes and Signature Pink LemonadeReplaced artificial vanilla with natural vanilla in our shake mixReplaced artificial flavors with natural flavors in our chocolate syrup and hot cocoaReplaced high-fructose corn syrup with natural sugar in our shake mix, strawberry syrup, spread, and Signature Pink LemonadeReplaced calcium propionate with natural enzymes in our buns and removed cottonseed oil

"We've additionally introduced a healthier beverage sweetener option by replacing sucralose and saccharin sweetener packets with Stevia Leaf Extract, and added a non-dairy alternative, oat milk creamer, Snyder said.

"We're also in the process of transitioning to ketchup made with real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup and researching an even better-quality oil for our fries."

In-N-Out is not alone in these changes, as brands across the country will be forced to make changes to comply with the new guidelines.

Deleted Taylor Swift Announcement Has Fans Wondering

Over the past few months, Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs star boyfriend Travis Kelce had taking a break from the spotlight following Super Bowl LIX before Kelce made a few recent public appearances.

Fans are still waiting to see Swift, though there's growing speculation she'll make her first public appearance since the Super Bowl at the American Music Awards on Memorial Day. In the latest episode of Handmaid's Tale Swift's Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version) made a surprise appearance, stirring speculation that Reputation (Taylor’s Version) is finally on the way.

“I’ve been wanting to use a Taylor song for many years on the show, and we finally found the perfect spot for a track from her, and I’m so glad we waited because there could not be a more perfect song for a more perfect moment,” Elizabeth Moss said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter about featuring the track.

“Taylor has been such an inspiration to me personally. As a Swiftie myself, and I think I can speak for Yvonne [Strahovski] and our entire cast, who are all Swifties, it’s such an honor to be able to use her music in the final episodes of our show. I said to my editor, Wendy [Hallam Martin], ‘I really want to find a place for a Taylor track in the last two episodes of the show,’ and we wanted to find a music queue for the opening of nine. All the credit goes to Wendy for picking this track for this moment!”

The Handmaid's Tale X account initially posted a video showing the playing of the song, but the video was deleted. Universal Music Group, Swift's worldwide recorded music partner, later tweeted out the video, but like the Handmaid's Tale account, eventually deleted the footage - leading to plenty of speculation online.

"and deleted from UMG now," one fan said along with a crying emoji.

"y'all r we movin," questioned another.

"nvm wtf," offered a third...with five crying emojis.

Fans clearly have no idea what's going on, but they hope to find out at the American Music Awards in just a few days.
