Tony Romo Thinks Travis Kelce is 'Far Less Out There' After Dating Taylor Swift

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has faced a lot of criticism ever since he began dating pop sensation Taylor Swift, especially after his statistics fell significantly in 2024. But one former quarterback and current NFL analyst seems to think Taylor has actually been the opposite of a distraction for Kelce.

Some might think that Kelce's lifestyle has gotten busier since dating arguably the most famous woman on the planet, given their overseas trips and nights out that always seem to attract attention.

However, during a recent interview with Us Weekly, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo made a very fair point as he suggested that Kelce might actually spend less time out than he did before their relationship.

“People won’t even realize this, but he’s probably doing less than he used to when he was younger,” Romo told Us Weekly. “If you get your picture taken going to dinner with your superstar girlfriend, it looks like you’re going out or something. No, he just went to dinner. Almost as if he’s married, going to dinner with his wife or something.”

The only difference is that now, as Romo points out, is that his nights out attract a lot more attention than they ever did before.

“He didn’t get photographed when he was going out with his buddies all the time,” Romo said. “He’s far less out there. He’s doing far less things than when he was younger. It’s just the fact that if you’re written about a lot and it’s not about football, some people are always going to think that it plays a role. But the truth is that it can be a net positive if you look at it closely.”

While Kelce's stats did indeed fall off significantly this past season, it sounds like Romo does not exactly subscribe to the idea that the time spent out with Taylor Swift is the reason for that.
