Austin Butler Won't Play James Bond, but He's in for Another 007 Role

While the role of the future James Bond remains very much up in the air, one name who appears more than willing to remove his name from consideration is Austin Butler. The Caught Stealing star’s candid response to the idea of suiting up as the next 007 drew plenty of attention, specifically due to the fact that he didn’t exactly believe he fit the mold of the iconic face of the franchise.

As Butler previously told Hits Radio UK, he doesn’t think it would be a “good idea” for him to be the next face of James Bond. However, it was what he said afterward that could be even more noteworthy.

"I don't think that would be a good idea," said Butler. “Because I'm American...I could do an accent, but I think it would be kinda sacrilegious. Those movies meant so much to me. But I think, yeah, it's gotta be somebody who is from your home country (United Kingdom)."

Although Butler’s honest response may end any hope of him stepping into the role of 007 before it picked up too much steam, the follow-up question from host Sam Thompson kicked off another possibility for the 34-year-old actor.

"A villain?” asked Thompson.

“A villain? A villain. That would be alright,” Butler said. “I’d do that.”

Why not? Butler could be an intriguing fit for a villain in the Bond franchise, and considering his history with Denis Villeneuve, who’ll be directing the next movie, it could make sense. Butler was in Villeneuve’s 2024 film Dune: Part Two, and that factor alone has fueled some chatter around the potential Bond role.

Although Butler appears to be out on the possibility of a lead role, the idea of him playing a villain is an entertaining one. Time will tell if that concept has a chance to come to fruition, but it’s likely fans will first hear word on who’s tabbed as the next Bond before anything else relating to the cast is built out.

Expert Explains Why Sleep Is Just as Important as Diet and Exercise for Your Health

For some, the daily grit and grind is enough to help ensure they get a good night's sleep. However, for many others, the attempt to find consistency in daily sleep is a tall task. Whether it be due to the late-night grind of a busy schedule or simply being a night owl, the task of getting to bed early and logging a decent number of hours of sleep isn’t always easy.

However, according to physician and host of The Drive podcast, Peter Attia, sleep is just as pivotal as exercise and nutrition. In one of Attia’s recent posts/email newsletters, he detailed the specifics about how and why to utilize sleep as a longevity tactic, and that breakdown was pretty eye-opening.

Peter Attia’s Key Points on the Importance of Sleep

While Attia detailed several key impacts of why sleep is so vital to your day-to-day success, here’s a look at a starting breakdown which he unveiled at the start of his recent newsletter.

Marty Munson, Peter Attia at the Featured Session ‘Peter Attia: The Science and Art of Longevity’ during SXSW Conference & Festivals.

Renee Dominguez/SXSW Conference & Festivals via Getty Images

Why sleep is as crucial as nutrition and exercise in maintaining health. The short-term cognitive and physical effects of poor sleep and how they can compromise your daily performance. The long-term health risks associated with chronic sleep deprivation, including cardiovascular disease and neurodegenerative disorders. How sleep influences metabolic health, affecting insulin sensitivity, weight, and the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The importance of sleep for mental health, including its impact on mood, stress, and the risk of depression and anxiety.

Attia went on to describe the short-term and long-term consequences that can come from poor sleep, and each point was noteworthy. Among the most noteworthy points for short-term consequences that can come from poor sleep were cognitive impairment and mood disruptions. This includes reduced attention, difficulting concentrating, worsened mood and an increase in stress and anxiety.

Attia’s Long-Term Consequences of Poor Sleep

As concerning as the short-term consequences of not getting enough sleep were, the long-term were as significant, if not more. This included cardiovascular disease, mental health issues and more, which are listed below.

Cardiovascular disease: Risk factors for hypertension, heart disease and stroke. Metabolic disorders: Increased risk of type 2 diabetes. Neurodegenerative diseases: Increased risk of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's. Immunosupression Mental health issues: Attia notes that chronic sleep depreviation is closely linked to disorders such as depression and anxiety.

The segment from Attia, which is part of his longevity course, touched on several key factors that can negatively impact life on a daily and long-term basis regarding lack of sleep. So while many tout that getting 6-8 hours of sleep is pivotal, it may be more important than ever before based on the research behind this data.

Paramount Changes Mind on ‘Dexter’ Prequel

Dexter: Original Sin, a prequel to the hit drama series, was canceled at Paramount despite previously being renewed for a second season.

"Paramount has opted not to move forward with another season of the prequel series," Varietyreported. "A Season 2 renewal announcement went out in April, but sources say the series has in fact been on hiatus and no plans to shoot a second season had moved forward and no production dates were scheduled."

The show -- which explained Dexter Morgan's evolution into a serial killer -- premiered in December 2024. The 10-episode first season concluded in February. Originally, Showtime announced that the series would be returning for a second season.

The prequel was created by Clyde Phillips and looked back on Dexter's youth, beginning in 1991, 15 years before the original series premiered. The series premiere reportedly racked up more than 2 million streams, making it Showtime's most streamed premiere in history, according to The Wrap.

Dexter star and Dexter: Original Sin executive producer Michael C. Hall, opened up about the prequel during a July 2024 interview with Entertainment Weekly calling the scripts "fantastic."

"I can't wait, like as a fan, to watch it, and as an actor, to spend time seeing real footage of things that I've sort of tried to imagine for myself when I imagine what Dexter's early days [were like], now I'm going to have this technicolor version of his memories to refer to," he said. "And I think it will help inform my experience of whatever comes next in the other series, which I can only speak vaguely about at this point."

He continued, during a Comic Con panel, "It’s pretty heady. It’s so gratifying. I cannot wait to watch this show. I’m on the inside to a certain degree and I have a sense of what’s coming but I’m really excited. I’ve spent so much time with this character and to go back and have all the imaginative blanks filled in is going to be great."

Close-up Photo of Novak Djokovic's U.S. Open Blister Stuns Fans

Novak Djokovic vanquished a 19-year-old player half his age in the first round of the U.S. Open on Aug. 24, but there were some tough moments for the tennis legend.

He ran away with the first set against Learner Tien, 6-1. However, Tien battled back and gave Djokovic a run for his money in the second set, which Djokovic finally won 7-6 (7/3). That's when things briefly took a negative turn for the tennis pro.

After the match, Djokovic declared it was "quite a strange match to be honest."

Novak Djokovic Asked for a Medical Timeout Due to a Large Toe Blister

After the difficult second set, Djokovic asked for a medical timeout due to a large blister under his toe. Fans were stunned by the close-ups of the toe blister on the television broadcast, photos of which were later shared on social media.

One site on X declared the blister "gross." Another tennis fan wrote, "Just turned on tennis while eating to see Novak’s bare foot with a blister immediately thank you ESPN." Another fan wrote on X that it looked like half of Djokovic's toe was "dangling off."

Other fans also indicated that they could have done without the television coverage of Djokovic's wound, wondered how it would affect his future play, and admired his ability to fight through the pain, as he handily won the third set 6-2 and the match.

The blister on Djokovic's big toe is horrific. It's not even a blister. It's a one square inch flap of skin just hanging there. He's gonna need every one of these off days before his second round match.

Novak Djokovic's Fitness at Age 38 Could Be a Factor Against Higher-Ranked Players

Why it matters: Djokovic's ability to rally back in such a dominant fashion with a painful foot injury underscores the Serb's legendary determination.

"Honestly no other player would’ve kept playing with that big blister Novak had on his toe. What a warrior!" a fan wrote.

The blister wasn't the only thing causing fitness concerns, though. There were times that Djokovic looked tired or didn't play at his best against Tien; that could bode poorly for his future ability to defeat higher-ranked players like Carlos Alcaraz or Jannik Sinner as the U.S. Open progresses.

Novak Djokovic Admitted He Wishes He Had 'Learner Tien's Age' Novak Djokovic of Serbia greets Learner Tien of the United States following their Men's Singles First Round match on Day One of the 2025 US Open at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on August 24, 2025 in the Flushing neighborhood of the Queens borough of New York City.

In the on-set interview, Djokovic got candid about aging.

"Great to be back again in New York," Djokovic said on the court after the match, noting that it was his 20th U.S. Open.

"Quite a strange match to be honest. The first set was just over 20 minutes, the second set was an hour and 20 minutes... It was a key for me to hold my nerve in the second set..." he added.

"I know I can always do better, but a great way to start," the tennis legend said.

"I wish I had Learner Tien's age, but that's not possible," he added. "He's double...my age. It's incredible. When you come to the late 30s, it's really about learning how to preserve the energy for what matters. The body is not, you know, recovering as fast as it used to."

"I still have the flair," he said. "I still have the drive, and you guys still give me energy to be here on the court. At times, I wish I was younger, but I only have to be grateful for an amazing career...Hopefully, I can keep it going. I still want to compete."

Southwest Airlines Travel Hack Goes Viral

It's no secret that Southwest Airlines flights are a little more bare bones than most of its competitors, but one passenger has gone viral for an ingenious travel hack that works around some of the comforts not offered by Southwest.

Unlike airlines like Delta, United, and American, Southwest Airlines has typically served as more of a low-cost carrier with limited perks and amenities on board. While that's changing a bit recently with the airline moving toward adding extra legroom seats and even testing free WiFi on flights, the fact remains that Southwest flights are a little more stripped down than other major carriers.

However, that did not stop one ingenious passenger from making himself extra comfortable on a Southwest flight – he just had to get a little creative.

Southwest Does Not Have Seatback Screens

These days, it's fairly common for planes to include screens on the back of headrests, allowing passengers to watch complimentary movies, shows, or even live television in some cases. Southwest, however, has opted not to have screens in its seatbacks, likely as a cost-saving measure.

Seatback screens cost money to install and require consistent maintenance and upkeep. Additionally, they add weight to the aircraft, which has its own cost when it comes to fuel efficiency.

It's obviously inconvenient for the customer, but the move is understandable for more of a low-cost carrier trying to keep its fares low.

American Airlines Made a Similar Move

While American Airlines does offer seatback screens on all of its longer flights, the company has recently been removing the screens from its shorter flights, taking a similar approach to Southwest, where customers can use their own devices to view in-flight entertainment.

There is one key difference between the two airlines, however.

While American Airlines may not include seatback screens on its shorter flights, it does include a seatback device holder attached to the headrest in front of you on all of its flights that do not include a seatback screen.

While Southwest did start rolling out device holders on its updated interiors beginning last year, not all Southwest planes are equipped with a device holder, especially its older planes. This forces passengers to hold their devices in their hands – or come up with other solutions.

Southwest Travel Hack Goes Viral

Without a seatback screen or a device holder, one Southwest Airlines passenger got a little bit creative on a recent flight.

In a photo that has since gone viral on social media, a Southwest Airlines passenger clipped his hat onto the seat in front of him using the adjustable strap and then placed his phone inside the hat, creating a makeshift device holder on a flight where Southwest did not offer one.

Witnessed levels of innovation I had never considered pic.twitter.com/Khwqd5xnBJ

— comfy (@ihatethiskid) August 21, 2025

The travel hack went absolutely viral on X, generating over six million impressions in just a few days while racking up more than 250,000 "likes."

Other Travelers Weigh In

While this was obviously an ingenious solution to a problem that many travelers face when flying Southwest, other travelers weighed in with their own tips and tricks.

"Rookie. Fold and wedge the insert in half inside the pocket so it’s just barely sticking out of opening… use that as the base and lean phone against it and the edge, and lean the phone back against the inside of the pocket. Perfect setup, been doing it for years," one person replied in a post on X.

Another user shared a Reddit post where someone had crushed up a can to use as a makeshift device holder.

Until Southwest puts a device holder on all of its flights, passengers will be forced to innovate.

Shedeur Sanders Shares Message for Browns Fans Before Cut Day

Shedeur Sanders has completed the first preseason of his NFL career and now waits for Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline.

The Cleveland Browns drafted Sanders, the youngest son of Deion Sanders, in the fifth round back in April, two rounds after taking another quarterback, Dillon Gabriel.

Both rookies are expected to make the team's initial roster, along with starter Joe Flacco and projected veteran backup Kenny Pickett.

It has been an up-and-down preseason for Sanders, but the former University of Colorado star is keeping things positive ahead of cut down day.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Shedeur Sanders (@shedeursanders)

On Sunday afternoon, Sanders posted on Instagram, thanking Browns fans for their support and vowing to keep improving.

"Thanks everyone for the 🧡 and support," Sanders wrote. "There’s a lot to learn from this preseason, but I’m really thankful for the opportunity to be out there. Day by day, rep by rep, I’ll keep learning and getting better."

Highs and lows in August for Sanders

Sanders' first preseason was a mix of encouraging and worrisome signs as he acclimated himself to NFL life.

In his exhibition debut, Sanders was stellar, completing 14-of-23 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns in a win over the Carolina Panthers. However, an oblique injury kept him out of the Browns' next game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

In Saturday's preseason finale, Sanders completed 3-of-6 passes for 14 yards and was sacked five times in a 19-17 win over the Los Angeles Rams.

What's next for Shedeur Sanders?

The Browns must finalize their initial 53-man roster by 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday. Sanders is likely to be on it, telling reporters following Saturday's game he "obviously" expects to make the team.

"I think, overall as a player, I've put in the work," Sanders said, via ESPN. "I feel like everything I do, I try to do it to my best, and that's all I can ask for.

"I feel like everybody feels like they should be on the team. If you ask anybody on the team, would they feel like they belong -- they belong in their own eyes. I feel like I do, but I'm my own player. I think about myself in a high regard, of course. It's not my decision."

From there, we'll have to see how Cleveland's season unfolds to find out if and when the rookie passer will make his regular season debut.

Lebron James Was One of the First People To Congratulate Tommy Fleetwood Sunday

LeBron James could relate to what Tommy Fleetwood was able to accomplish on Sunday.

Early in his legendary NBA career, James was looked at by many as someone who couldn't close the deal after falling just short of an NBA title on multiple occasions. In 2012, he finally broke through and won the first of his four championships.

Going into the final round of the Tour Championship Sunday, Fleetwood had never won on the PGA Tour. The 34-year-old Englishman had posted top five finishes in all four majors and came painfully close to winning the Travelers and St. Jude Championship this year before faltering late at both events.

That was not the case this afternoon, as Fleetwood, who entered the day tied with Patrick Cantlay for the lead, shot two-under and won the Tour Championship by three strokes at 18-under for the weekend.

Congrats and 🫡 @TommyFleetwood1!!! That first one feeling is something else! Especially after dealing with adversity and shortcomings. Too 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🏆

— LeBron James (@KingJames) August 24, 2025

James, who has recently become obsesses with the game of golf, was locked in to Fleetwood's quest all day, live-tweeting the action from Atlanta as it unfolded.

When Fleetwood's final put on 18 went down, clinching the championship, LeBron took to X/Twitter to send his congratulations.

"Congrats and [salute] @TommyFleetwood1 !!!" James wrote. "That first one feeling is something else! Especially after dealing with adversity and shortcomings. Too."

Fleetwood kept the faith

Despite his heartbreaking recent collapses, Fleetwood's belief in himself seemingly never wavered, at least publicly.

The seven-time European Tour winner spoke on multiple occasions recently about maintaining a positive attitude.

“I work really hard on making sure that I make it all into a positive,” Fleetwood said last Tuesday before the Tour Championship. “Of course, I’m not going to feed you lies and say, Oh, Memphis. I thought I did everything great, or Travelers. I didn’t do anything wrong. Of course, I got things wrong down the stretch, and it didn’t happen for me. But you just learn from those experiences, and I think the overriding, I guess, emotions are a lot of positives. I would rather you be questioning me about not finishing tournaments off than not questioning me at all about anything. So I’ve obviously shown a lot of really good stuff and put myself in great positions.

“I’ve said every single time that I just want to put myself there again. I want to give myself another chance. I’ll finish it off at some point. I’ll get it right and I’ll get it right more than once. But being there is actually the hard part in a way.”

Fleetwood earned more than his first PGA Tour win Sunday

In addition to getting off the schneid on the PGA Tour, Fleetwood also took home the season-long FedEx Cup with his victory Sunday.

By the way, in doing so, he also banked $10 million. Not too shabby.

"I'm proud of what I've done before," Fleetwood said, via CBS. "Whether I've won or not [before], I've still been proud of my career and where I've been so far, knowing that I still have a long way to go and a lot to learn. This doesn't change that, really. This is just, hopefully, one win -- the first of many to come. You can't win plenty if you don't win the first one. I'm just so happy that I got it done. Happy with my work ethic. I'll continue to try and get better, try to be the best I can be."

Southwest Airlines Makes Another Major Change. This Time Affecting Plus-Size Passengers

Southwest Airlines announced another major change to their long-standing policies. This time plus-size passengers will be affected.

"Customers who encroach upon the neighboring seat(s) should proactively purchase the needed number of seats prior to travel to ensure the additional, adjacent seat is available," the airline revealed on their website. "The armrest is considered to be the definitive boundary between seats."

Currently plus-sized passengers are able to request a refund for the additional seats after travel was completed. However, beginning January 27, 2026, Southwest will require certain conditions are met before issuing a refund.

"The flight(s) must depart with at least one open seat (or with Passengers traveling on space available passes). Both seats should be purchased in the same fare class (i.e., Choice, Choice Preferred, Choice Extra, or Basic). The refund request must be made within 90 days of your date of travel."

The airline previously announced they would be ending their open-seating policy, opting instead for assigned seats, which also going into effect beginning January 27.

"For your comfort, we're introducing seat options that allow you to choose the experience you prefer," Southwest previously revealed. "This includes options to select where you want to sit and upgrade to an Extra Legroom seat, giving you more choices when you travel with us. Learn more about all the new options ahead including our new cabin design, new fare bundles, plus Tier and Cardmember perks to match."

Other major changes the airline has instated in recent months include ending their two free checked bag policy, rebranding their fare types and setting their flight credits to expire six months after issue, cutting their previous 12 month policy in half.

Tommy Fleetwood's Wife Clare Opened Up About Relationship 'Doubters'

Professional golfer Tommy Fleetwood and his wife, Clare, have a famously large age gap.

She is 23 years older than her husband. He is 34 years old, according to the PGA Tour.

Tommy Fleetwood won the PGA Tour Championship on Aug. 24, his first PGA Tour title.

Fleetwood's wife admitted that, at first, the couple faced people who doubted their relationship. "People who were the doubters have redeemed themselves, let's say, and admittedly doubted wrongly," she said on the Performance People podcast.

Tommy Fleetwood said on that podcast that his wife brings a "calming side, that reality check. I'm hoping that she loves me. I feel that's something we have. That happiness side of things. She's very clever." He said his wife judges situations better than he does.

She makes "good calls on things," added Fleetwood, gushing praise for his wife.

Clare Fleetwood Said She Never Looked Back After Falling in Love With Tommy Fleetwood

Clare Fleetwood said that, over time, people saw the couple's bond, and the criticism dissipated.

"I had full faith. Once we fell in love, that's it," she said. "We were in. It was just navigating through the gossip, basically. But it was quick 'cause people saw us and knew it meant something."

At first, Clare Fleetwood shared those doubts, and she revealed on the podcast that she initially rejected Tommy Fleetwood's overtures.

"We've got a 23-year age difference. Of course, I turned him down. I was like, 'Don't be stupid,' " Clare told the Performance People podcast.

According to People, the couple married in 2017. They met because Tommy's brother, Joe, and Clare worked together at Hambric Sports Management.

Tommy Fleetwood brought up the early days of their relationship in a 2015 blog post he wrote for Golf Monthly.

"The other major change has been good too – a switch of management to Hambric Sports Group," he wrote. "My brother, Joe, working at Hambric is obviously a big plus point, but I get on well with Clare Craig, too, who is vice-president of Europe. She’s always been around on Tour, and I’ve chatted to her a lot over the years."
