Taurus Energy Drink, A Halal Energy Booster

Remember that lately I’ve been posting this stats, especially on Facebook “Capek…mintak nyawa”? Well, in Indonesian language, it means that I’m exhausted and I need a boost. Yes,fatigue been visiting me like nobody’s business and loving a lifestyle that requires me to be alert and on the go all the time, being lethergic sucks. I’ve been trying to rest up and sleep more but all it does is just make me feel even more tired. So I thought perhaps I’ve been doing things the wrong way and instead of trying to rest up and recover my energy, I should boost up my stamina and pump up some Adrenaline instead.

 photo FB_IMG_1481440216891_zps7ymzcevp.jpg

And I did just that during the recent Laser Tag Battle Gathering by Taurus with my blogger friends.

 photo BeautyPlus_20161123230941_save_zpsyydkk8ns.jpg

The laser tag battle was quite energy consuming.

 photo FB_IMG_1481440231696_zpsqfnz2xzy.jpg

It was my first time playing laser tag and I discovered that there’s alot of running around and strategy involved.

 photo FB_IMG_1481440270480_zpslzkey5ld.jpg

Pretty tough game and here’s me hiding and trying to ambush my enemy team. My first game was not very good.

 photo FB_IMG_1481440303375_zpsbzmxhul9.jpg

My team lost the first round but we rebounded during second and third and tadaaaaahhhhh…we won the game and won ourselves a medal. Cool right? Well, for what it’s worth it is all about strategy and teamwork.

 photo BeautyPlus_20161123191645_fast01_zpsk1hh1mby.jpg

And of course…the Taurus Energy Drink helped to boost our stamina too and gave me an immediate boost.

 photo 20161123_192248_zpsla0kln8q.jpg

Pretty spiky for an energy drink and while it is great for an instant boost, I wouldn’t recommend the drink to those with heart problems or pregnant ladies as their delicate condition might require close monitoring in bodily changes.

Taurus Energy Drink contains:

0.4% Taurine

0.032% Caffeine

0.0006% Vitamin B2

0.002% Vitamin B5

0.024% Inositol

0.24% Glucuronolactone

CAFFEINE

Due to its well-known stimulating effects, caffeine also has an influence on breathing and on the ability of the cardiac muscles to contract, as well as the heart rate ? it has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system and speeds up cardiac activity. Caffeine has a stimulating effect on the organism and ensures adrenaline release, so that more glycogen (energy reserves) and fats can be absorbed. Caffeine leads to stimulation of the metabolism and of blood pressure.

TAURINE

Taurine is a non-essential amino acid, which can be produced by the body with the help of cysteine. Taurine is important in the development of the central nervous system and the regulation of fluids in the body?s cells. Furthermore, taurine has been attributed partial protective functions for cell membranes and antioxidant properties. Studies have shown that drinks containing taurine can furthermore significantly prolong the duration of their impact at a higher level of intensity. In combination with caffeine, taurine can have a stimulating and invigorating effect. Taurine improves and/or regenerates muscle tone and has a detoxifying effect.

VITAMIN B5 / PANTOTHEN ACID

Vitamin B5 (pantothen acid) supports metabolism of carbohydrates as well as the breakdown of fats and thus ensures the extraction of energy from foodstuffs.

VITAMIN B2 / RIBOFLAVIN

Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) is among other things important for control of breathing. At the same time, it takes over functions for energy metabolism, in particular for metabolising fats, carbohydrates and proteins.

INOSITOL

Inositol is a type of Vitamin B, an active ingredient for living cells. Inositol is considered to be a factor in growth and is also responsible for reducing fat deposits, in that it aids in the combustion of fats by ensuring the export of fatty acids to the liver, where they can be converted into energy.

GLUCURONOLACTON

Glucuronolacton is a substance naturally produced by the body (similar to sugar) and has an important detoxifying function for the body. It is produced in the liver from glucose and combines with harmful substances so as to produce a detoxification reaction, i.e. breaking down harmful substances which are produced by bodily exertion.

Taurus Energy Drink is a popular energy beverage made in Malaysia. It can be bought at the 24hours 7-11 convenience store throughout Malaysia but is also distributed throughout the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and coming soon to the U.A.E, Iran, and Qatar. The drink has been certified with ISO 9001, HACCP, FDA and it is HALAL certified by JAKIM too, of course and Muslims needs not worry whenever they consume this particular drink.

Taurus Energy Drink is highly recommended for those who needs an instant energy.

What to Do This School Holiday: Fun Art Class with Pelikan

Other parents might moan and groan about having to find babysitters or make special arrangements for their children during school holidays but since my job is pretty much flexible as I’m running my own business, I couldn’t be happier spending time with my son during the school break. Yes. School is officially out in Malaysia for the year 2016 and I’m looking forward to having fun and going on adventures with my son.

 photo IMG_5370_zpsdgowa9wy.jpg

I have plenty of activities planned ahead for the school holiday, but we kicked off our first weekend of not having to go to school by going to an art class in Pelikan store.

 photo IMG_5378_zpsamurshpn.jpg

Located on the 3rd floor of The Gardens Mall, Kuala Lumpur, Pelikan store is a one stop centre for all your children’s stationery needs. Right now, Pelikan is having Back to School Year End Sale at their Isetan KLCC & The Gardens Mall outlets, with 30% off on selected items.

Members get additional 10% ( 30% + 10%) only on members day 27-30/11/2016. If you are like me and would like to plan ahead for the next school term, this is your chance to get Pelikan products at great prices, without the nasty crowd doing last minute shopping. Promotion commence on 25th November 2016 and ends on 2 January 2017.

What’s great about the store is that it not only provide high quality stationeries for all your children’s schooling needs but it also host art classes during the school holidays. And I just sent my boy to attend one last weekend since we were bored stiff at home during the weekend and they happened to invite us bloggers and the members of the media to experience the art class that they are offering throughout the school holiday. It is doubtlessly a great way to start the school holiday for both of us.

High quality Pelikan products are spotted being used during the art classes. Space+ paintbox 12 and 24 colours, with matching water containers.

A masterpiece in progress. Focusing on Pelikan’s Back to School 2016 theme: Best Friends, Pelikan Store is conducting thematic art classes especially for this school holidays of 5 weeks in total throughout December 2016 for school children under the age of 12. There will be 5 art classes in total, every Saturday 2session, 3pm & 4pm (1hour). The fees is RM70 for Pelikan members and RM95 for non-members. And the best part? You will also receive a complimentary Best Friends Set upon your first class with them on 3rd December 2016. If you just want to sign up for the individual classes, the price is just RM15 for Pelikan members and RM20 for non-members.

 photo IMG_5262_zpszhdrv5kq.jpg

During the session that I sent my son to, the children were taught how to produce an artwork by using the ‘Pointalism technique’, a neo impressionist painting using tiny dots of various pure colours which becomes blended in the viewer’s eyes. The technique was developed by George Seurat with the aim of producing a degree of luminosity and brilliance of colours, but art is subjective and freedom to be creative matters above all. And my son produced this instead of strictly sticking to the technique taught by the art teacher. Pretty neat, huh?

Apart from the art classes, the annual Pelikan Back To School contest is also back. You may want to let your children join their ‘Best Friends Colouring Contest’. Who knows if ladyluck would be on their side and they can win cash prizes and cool gadgets such as IPhone, IPad, GoPro Hero 4 & Nintendo 3DS. The prizes up for grab is worth more than RM30,000. For more information, on the contest, you might want to visit goo.gl/4To2vr. The contest ends 31 January 2017.

 photo IMG_5460_zpsgpjbdqmx.jpg

One for the album. As far as I’m concerned as a parent, the program is absolutely a wonderful way to let your children spend their school holidays. They can go wild with creativity and learning new art techniques while meeting new friends along the way.

Walk in for the classes is welcomed but I would recommend you to call them up at 03-22020801(The Gardens Mall Outlet) to reserve your seats to avoid disappointment.

Selfie-Worthy Attractions at SnowWorld European Facade

Wanna chill a like bit this school holiday but that flight ticket cost a bit too much? Well, go domestic instead.

 photo received_bWVzc2FnZV9ibG9iX2F0dGFjaG1lbnQ6MTM1Mjk2MDU5MTQxMDk3OQ_zpsf5jroizo.jpeg

There are plenty of interesting places in Malaysia for you to visit. And if you wanna chill, really chill, SnowWorld in Resorts World Genting is just the place for you.

 photo received_bWVzc2FnZV9ibG9iX2F0dGFjaG1lbnQ6MTM1Mjk2MDI0MTQxMTAxNA_zpske8ugbh3.jpeg

SnowWorld has been transformed to look like a European village—with replicas of various European symbols creating a believable imaginary world.

#EllieTravels: in Resorts World Genting: SnowWorld

Check out my vlog shot during my recent visit to SnowWorld. Pretty cool, huh?

 photo 20161105_133519_zpsptuwe97c.jpg

You can make-believe you are touring Europe as you take in the sights and sounds at the various “countries” created, namely Holland, Italy, Norway, England, France, Spain, Germany and Switzerland. Experience what being in a German Boucherie with 3D sausage and 3D cow is like  or take a picture in front of the facade bearing the image of a windmill with the 3D Holland Clog aside.  The tour itself can be considered educational—Geography lessons for the kids—or the guest may simply look upon it as a picture-worthy session filled with heartwarming moments.

 photo 20161105_134312_zpsett3tkb3.jpg

Apart from ‘going around Europe’, SnowWorld is also offering medieval theme and there are many exciting photography backdrops and 3D props, making each visit a delightful one for visitors. Here’s riding a dragon in madieval times in SnowWorld. Pretty cool, huh?

The young and young-at-heart who simply love taking selfies would no doubt also be delighted to experience this. SnowWorld has revised its ticket prices and the new rates are RM38.30 for adults and teenagers (RM34.50 for Genting Rewards Card or GRC members) and RM32.50 for children and senior citizens (RM29.20 for GRC members). There is also Family Package priced at RM129.10.  For more information, please call 03-27181118 or log on to www.rwgenting.com.

Pilihan Editor: Wajib Dicuba di Tastefully Food&Beverage Expo 2016

 photo BeautyPlus_20161112024722_save_zpsldffcgt2.jpg

Cooking demo at Tastefully Food&Beverage Expo

Video hidangan Ayam Vegetarian Masak Masam Manis sedang disediakan.

 photo 20161111_143211_zpsbbvbo9kq.jpg

Nampak seperti ayam sebenar, bukan?

 photo 20161111_150156_zpsfu8lrp5i.jpg

Halia tua bersaiz besar. Dijamin pedas dan panas.

4. Sukakan makanan Jepun dan Korea? Jenguklah ZP Food Import&Export Sdn.Bhd. (Booth 178&179).

 photo 20161111_151905_zpsglwvk7om.jpg

Ultraman Live in Genting 2016: Revenge of Baltan

I was in Resorts World Genting with my husband and son last week for Ultraman Live in Genting 2016. We were expecting some live show on stage and meet some of our idolized Ultra Warriors, but something went wrong. Something really scary happened during Ultraman Live in Genting 2016 in GISR.

 photo IMG_26100101_zpsuslbd5j7.jpg

See this guy? Remember him? Yes. You’re right.

 photo IMG_263601_zpsyicr3l2c.jpg

It’s Alien Baltan from the Planet Baltan. Following his defeat last year during Ultraman Live in Genting 2015, alien Baltan is back in Resorts World Genting with his minions and is now terrorizing the good people of Earth. My family and I met this terrifying creature in person and he threatened to enslave us all.

 photo IMG_313701_zps1ffvpaw0.jpg

What’s worst? Alien Baltan has successfully replicate Ultra warriors by using some sort of sick mirror technogy from Planet Baltan and turned them into evil warriors who terrorized the Earth.

Take a look at this picture closely. That’s not Ultraman Zero, but it’s Dark Zero. The evil version of Ultraman Zero.

The Ultra Warriors decided to enlist the help of Earthlings to fight off Alien Baltan and the Dark Ultras and therefore instead of just watching the show, we ended up training with the Ultra Warriors instead.

Good vs. Evil.

So, did we win? Well of course we did. Good always triumph over evil, despite of the tough journey that makes us thinks that it impossible to achieve.

Wanna be part of Ultraman Live in Genting 2016: Revenge of Baltan and be one of the Ultra Warriors? Well, you can play a part in saving the world from the clutches of evil too. Overall the show was engaging and highly interactive and it doesn’t disappoint and is an adventure in itself. You can almost imagine yourself being a part of the show and is highly recommended to children age 5 and up in my opinion. Great for play pretend and it definitely encourages the children’s imagination to go wild. As an adult, even I could not resist thinking that I am part of the show. Simply put, it is a must watch this coming school holiday, so go on ahead and make a trip up to Resorts World Genting.
