I love short stories. I love anthologies. I love single-author collections. I published 3 excellent (I believe) single author collections this year. All very different, yes. Toronto, Canada, November 2016 — Undertow Publications has contracted with acclaimed U.K. author Priya Sharma to publish her debut short story collection, ‘Fabulous Beasts.’ (March 2018).


 


“I’ve long admired Undertow Publications and am thrilled to be working with Michael Kelly,” Sharma said. “I can only hope that my collection lives up to Undertow’s back catalogue of beautifully produced books by writers like V.H. Leslie, D.P. Watt, Sunny Moraine, and Eric Schaller.”


 


Priya Sharma’s fiction has appeared in Albedo One, Interzone, Black Static and on Tor.com. She’s been anthologised in several of Ellen Datlow’s Best Horror of the Year series, Paula Guran’s Year’s Best Dark Fantasy & Horror series, Jonathan Strahan’s The Best Science Fiction & Fantasy 2014, Steve Haynes’ Best British Fantasy 2014 and Johnny Main’s Best British Horror 2015. She’s also been on previous Locus’ Recommended Reading Lists. Her short story “Fabulous Beasts” was shortlisted for a Shirley Jackson Award and won a British Fantasy Award. Received word today that Year’s Best Weird Fiction, Vol. 3 will be a required text for the Fiction Workshop course at Augusta University for the upcoming Spring 2017 semester (ENGL 4640A).
