Mailing address removed

Please note, upon receiving a bizarre, vaguely threatening letter in the post, I've had to remove my mailing address from the website. Please direct all correspondence to the e-mail address.

Second story bought for issue two

I've just purchased "The Candle," by Ian Rogers, for publication in the next issue of Shadows & Tall Trees. A quiet gem of a story.

Production note / stock update

Hello Everyone,

Just a very quick note to share the latest developments at Shadows & Tall Trees.

I've bought the first piece of fiction for issue 2: "At the Top of the Stairs," by Richard Harland. For those interested in such things, it was the 151st submission sent in. I'm averaging more than 10 submissions a day. As of this writing I've had 172 submissions since opening January 1.

The good news is that the last 2 days have seen a marked improvement in the quality of submissions. Some terrific writers have sent in stories.

I also wanted to note that I have fewer than 30 copies of issue 1 left. And Adam Golaski is providing a unique one-of-a-kind postcard for everyone who orders a copy.

The response to the journal thus far has been tremendous. Thank you all very much.

Best

-Mike

Thank you

Just a quick note of thanks to all of you who have taken an interest in the journal, whether financially or otherwise. Your continued support and well-wishes are very much appreciated.

It's early days yet, but issue 2 is in the planning stages.

Not all doom and gloom

Let's try a positive post for a change, shall we?

Things are looking promising for the journal. Copies are moving out at a pretty good clip. As well, a couple of well-known genre writers, literary heroes of mine, have ordered copies of Shadows & Tall Trees. It's very gratifying, to be sure.

Here's hoping we can go from strength to strength.
